  • Edit: For Grace light weight clay. I tried to make a decent charm. and its quite okay to use :) though you cant color it with dark dark colors since the clay is white. So its really good for pastel charms

    I love Modena. I work mostly with Polymer clay, but if I want to use an air dry, Modena is the only one I will easy. It does not shrink like cold porcelain, and it works well with molds because it is not sticky. It also paints nice because of its smooth texture. Expensive, but worth it.

      Yes totally agreed! ☺️ it is also much durable than polymer clay for me and it doesn’t need oven to cure. Baking for me is the hardest when using polymer clay. It is so risky for me 🥺

    Thanks for the awesome review video! I've been so curious about Modena clay; I didn't realize there was paper/cold porcelain/AND resin air day X-D That was so informative, thank you for sharing!!

    Question: What kind of climate do you live in? Because I feel like the consistency of the Cosmos clay is affected by the climate of the area. My Cosmos clay is really soft when it's hot (not as soft or sticky as yours though Idk why yours is like that) but when I turn the air conditioner on, it gets dry and hard too quickly for me. Thoughts?

      Im from Philippines too!! New subbie here.. How much are these clays anyway? I like to experiment too. Also, do you have a cold porcelain tutorial cooked in a stove? We dont have a microwave at home 😊 more power!

    hey, thank you for your review. Seems like Cosmos & Grace have same problem as Thai clay. Modena is still the best and it's good to make food or flower ( because the transparent ). I made fake sweet real size, i usually mix 2 of them to reduce cost

    Thank you for this. It’s very informative. Problem is, finding this product for sale in the United States of America is very difficult. I’ve found a few venues that are selling it, but it’s ridiculously expensive, especially with overseas shipping charges. $50 for one package!

      Yes. It's better to use polymer clay than this...

    thank you for the review, which clay works best for flower petal in terms of durability though? is air dry polymer stronger then baked polymer? how about cold porcelain?

    Would dipping cutter in cornstarch help release without negative affect on the clay?

    I have made my own with recipes from RUclips y después de secarse quedan como de cristal, si se caen se rompen las piezas pequeñas y delgadas no quedan flexibles para nada y las " alitas o velos" si los tratas de doblar se rompen. Que estoy haciendo mal?

    Hello
    Between the Modena clay and your homemade clay, which one would you choose. And if you choose your homemade clay do you have a recipe for it. Thank you

      Hi there. Yes I have a tutorial just look at my videos 😊 hmm the pros of modena for me is that it's waterproof and I think a bit more durable than my homemade clay the cons for me it's kinda hard to work with it but it's best for flower making. Both are. Tho I think cold porcelain/homemade clay is more versatile and very inexpensive cause Modena is really expensive for me.

    It felt like I drank saltwater with all the saltiness during the Grace and Cosmos clays. 😂

      Hahah I'm biased 😭🤣😂 but really i don't why it's that sticky maybe it's defective 😅

      @@ClayBum Nah. I don't think you were biased. You were just stating what you thought of the product. It would be bias if for example, you continued to praise it regardless of the quality because you were paid, or you continued to compare and praise another product, etc.

    How does the modena compare to a super light air dry clay?

    • @ClayBum
      @ClayBum  5 лет назад +1

      Totally different. The finish product of super light is foamy and easy to tear apart though it bounce. While Modena is like polymer clay/cold porcelain texture and finish but much more flexible and really durable but its slightly hard to work with coz the colors bleed and its hard to put the parts

    • @ClayBum
      @ClayBum  5 лет назад +1

      Im not using super light clay anymore. I'm using my old recipe and medium clay called Cold Porcelain air dry clay
