Yea not gonna give him views.
Don't support Lemon by watching.
How much has the brain rot infected you already...ffs dude
I don’t wanna lower my standards and watch that
I never realized that you could ask the same question in so many different ways while trying to twist up someone’s words
It's the woke way
That's western journalism for ya.
And often pointlessly, like a disagreeable toddler not giving up on wanting a cookie before dinner despite seeing there are no cookies left in the jar. It's as if as long as you're attempting to antagonize someone, that's good enough for that brand of _journalism._
Hahahahaha surr, Actual journalism IS the "Woke Way".
It's intentional. He's hoping Elon will get angry but he's so much more clever than Don. He can see what sloppy Don is trying to do. Let's moderate Don Lemon's speech because I think it's hate speech.
Don Lemon pretends he just wanted a good conversation, but his line of questioning shows he’s hunting for a “gotcha”
You have to be a lot smarter than Lemon is to get a gotcha
Oh, look at the Elon Musk Sycophant pretending they are into "Free Speech". LOL 🤣
His picture should be next to the word, "disingenuous" in the dictionary.

Wow, Elon has the patience of a saint. And Don has the intelligence of a sea sponge.

Before this show:
Don: please don’t anger with me if I ask you too much aggressive questions.
Elon: of course
Lon Demon.
Don: “I’m trying to understand your logic.”
Elon: literally already explained the logic 5 times.

The viewers will be the one to decide how they will take Elon's words, and Don just doesn't understand that. His mind can't take it.

Elon should have ended this interview as soon as Don started using "moderation" in place of "censorship" pretending to not know they're the same thing.... shame on Lemon
Don was trying to get Elon to walk out on the interview. Mr Lemon is so incompetent, he can't even make lemonade if lemons hit him in the face.

This is no interview, it's a typical interrogation by legacy media
Exactly. He wants to hear something and he will reinterpret until he thinks he has heard Musk say what he wanted.
Elon keeps pushing merit, but Don assumes merit=white (an obvious logical error). But what Lemon doesn't think about is where merit FAVORS POC, like any basketball team. Basketball teams are comprised of mostly black players, but that's because of merit. Why are most nannies female? Merit. Why are all MotoGP racers male? Merit. Females are allowed to race with the men, but they can't qualify (except occasionally in Moto3 where they run as backmarkers, or the slowest riders).
Merit must carry the day. Lemon is too dishonest to admit that once one veers from 'merit' and prioritizes race/sex, that standards are by-definition being lowered, even if the top performers are POC and women. Elon should have brought up basketball and other sports where merit is the number one metric for selection.
@@spacep0dLoved the MotoGP reference. 2nd race this weekend. There was 1 female a couple years ago in moto3. I believe shes gone. AMA had Melissa Paris (Josh Hayes wife) Never did that well in the races I saw.
On another note Fire departments in California Lowered the standards for entry and for captainship to get more women and people of color in.
@@dublindave5795 Yes, Moto3 (the smallest-displacement class) sometimes has a single woman in it. Last year it was Ana Carrasco, a backmarker. I welcome women in MotoGP, but the pool of male talent is too strong and too large. I've never seen a woman in the premiere class (MotoGP) and I've been watching since Valé won his first premiere class championship.
@@spacep0d If Elon mentioned that black players are better at basketball, well that would imply that he thinks white people are smarter!! and then Lemon and every Elon hater has him dead

I have a friend who flies for Alaska Airlines. According to him, it took 10 years to get his credentials to fly passenger planes for Alaska Airlines.
He was really pissed off one day, because he flew with a copilot the night before who got her credentials in 3 years. The company needed to hire more women and people of color, so they changed their policies to allow select individuals to fly much faster than everyone else that was hired previously. Musk is completely right here… The bar is being lowered so these companies can get DEI tax breaks. It’s all about the $$$ to large corporations unfortunately. Greed outweighing logic.
Elon is a pillar of patience, a normal person would have walked away
he knows where he stands morally and doesn't change it for others, you have to respect that in a child let alone the richest man ever.
his biography "Elon Musk" is a must read/listen to!!
Don is not listening to Elon's responses and doesn't want to understand .
Every time Elon answered, Don tried to reformulate his answer, or ask him again to try and get that single compromising soundbite to go viral with. You see him setting the stage in early questions and try to trap Elon. Elon saw it late, but understood it and never fell in the trap. This interview was intense! I kinda liked seeing Elon being challenged and he stood his ground masterfully.
@@maxpelletier2237 Elon was not challenged. These are the same low-IQ questions that every mainstream journalist points at him and he provides the consistent response each time.
He should just make a handout at this point with the following points:
"Free speech means saying things which are uncomfortable as long as they do not violate the laws of the country"
"Any initiative which elevates those on the basis of identity will inevitably compromise those who would have been elevated on the basis of merit"
"The X platform will not engage in any moderation beyond the confines of the legal system within a jurisdiction"
@@shankars6324 You're right. What I meant was that people who hate Musk often follow some naratives pushed by the medias. Don asked him pretty much about those naratives. Hence the "challenge". He got asked what every haters would want to ask him, and he answered, standing his ground.

From my many visits to doctors in Los Angeles County, CA, I have found that most of them are Chinese, Korean, Japanese Indian, Pakistani and Eastern European. It is actually rare to find a "white" American doctor.
Why is Shirlene Obuobi MD still practicing Medicine after admitting that she intentionally missed a patient's vein to teach the patient a lesson. This infuriates me. Someone needs to notify the AMA and her employer. She should not be allowed to practice medine.
Elon IQ 160 and the lemon = 80
Sounds accurate.
Acc let’s lower it to below 60
That's most generous of you to give Captian Sour an IQ of 80
80.. your a very generous guy
It bugs me when people falsely attribute low IQ to people with stupid ideas and tactics. Lemon is actually pretty good at that passive aggressive guilt tripping nonsense. I mean he isn't exactly a genius but he couldn't be where he is at with an IQ of 80...
Does anyone remember the United flight from Maui to CA in December of 2022. The pilots almost flew it into the ocean after taking off. NTSB determined it was due to pilot error, flaps were in the wrong position. I don't care what color my pilot is, I just want he/she to be the most qualified person available for the job.
Exactly which means don't lower standards to match a color-wheel quota.
Exactly, and it's the same reason we discriminate against those who don't pay attention, are drug abusers, show a lack of diligence, etc. There are a lot of non-racial/sex traits that factor in as well. It all falls under the umbrella of merit and merit-based selection.
Liberalism once meant that all ideas and thoughts should be openly discussed and debated. Today, liberalism means if you disagree with my opinions then you should be silenced from speaking. Just look at college campuses today, where conservative speakers are not allowed to enter with massive protests and riots merely on speech. Allowing free and open speech doesn't mean the host supports those positions. Common sense is not so common anymore.
He's another example of why we need to bring back meritocracy.

@@robertcoutts926Self-important? Are you sure you don't mean "uppity"?
This lemon is a personification of why you need citizen journalism instead of indoctrinated media companies.
Ok...
I "Kind of" see your point...
BUT.
"Citizen Journalism" requires input from citizens with a degree of critical thinking, together with a lack of confirmation bias.
.
Unfortunately, most "evidence" I see on social media suggests that not to be the case.
.
Do you think "Citizen Journalism" and "Indoctrination" are mutually exclusive?
.
Some might suggest that "Citizen Journalism" may trend towards citizens who are "more enthusiastic" regarding a particular subject, who are more likely to express that opinion on line, being read by those with a similar perspective.
.
If either the group becomes large enough, or one or more citizens posting organise their effort, or an "outside" person, or organisation notes the trend and subtly manipulates the narrative, you have the beginnings of indoctrination.
.
Ah! You cry!
Community notes!
.
But those notes rely on a diverse and representative cross section of society, and opinion, being present on the forum.
.
If certain groups were "put off", while others were attracted, you have "a finger on the scale".
.
Not saying any of the above is fact, but it must be considered.
@@rogerstarkey5390- The hypocritical claims of citizen journalisms superiority over mainstream media really annoy me. They have made anti-science, anti-vax, racism, sexism, and the acceptance of outright lies and crazy conspiracy theories far more mainstream. The problem with mainstream stream media is three fold. Liberal arts majors who don’t understand technical issues, a loss of editorial staff as cost cuts to deal with declining viewership, and an attempt to fight that decline by becoming as much an entertainment form rather than straight news. Citizen journalism suffers from all of these but worse. 0 editorial review, survival of the clickiest and most entertaining. Mainstream media can follow the heard due to risk aversion, but that is far less damaging than intentional spreading lies and making outlandish statements for clicks and shock value.
I really valued Tesla RUclipsrs until 3-5 years ago for pointing out erroneous info in the mainstream media and their gullible acceptance of FUD from people who had an interest in Tesla failing.
There is still FUD out there but less frequent and treated more skeptically by mainstream stream media. With the drop in this righteous draw and a radical increase in objectionable behavior to many of Musk’s former big fans like me, a huge fraction of Tesla RUclipsrs have turned to full time excuse making for Musk. They ignore his hypocrisy, betrayal of goals he used to build cachet, and just generally odious and immature behavior.
I saw far worse interviews of both Obama and Bush who handled it with fortitude and humor. Musk is just a thinned skinned middle school level whiner. I he is a stereotypical nerd, brilliant but emotionally stunted.
There are a lot of similarities between Musk in me in terms of background, interests and approach to engineering and even in how we responded to bullying with one exception. We both learned to keep Bullies at bay by growing bigger and learning to fight but before I did that to eliminate the last 10 to 20% of bullying I grew a think skin to laugh in their faces at insults. That was sufficient all on its own to stop a majority of bullying because bullies pick on people they see as weak both mentally and physically. Ever since high school when I see a bully I want to fight them verbally or physically. I don’t understand why Musk wants to joint the Bully team and falsely claim they are the ones being bullied.

In 2015 the cato institute found that a black or brown person had a much higher chance of getting into med school with a college gpa of 3.25 or less compared to white applicants. Blacks 9x higher brown 6x higher. In my public med school in the 80s a third to half the blacks accepted had to repeat the furst year. When hiring is done based on skin colour or sexual preferences rather than just competency and talent, the work they are hired for will not be done as good as the best candidate would have done it. Period.
You just described not Dei. Good job.
Yes that's why Jordan Peterson is saying we need equal opportunity not equality of outcome!
And, what people keep forgetting is that merit ALWAYS favors merit, which could lead to a higher representation of PoC and women. Look at pro basketball/football or HR departments. Would I expect a high percentage of black people in curling? No, because the self-selected group is tiny. In some cases, straight men couldn't get hired if they tried (HR, early child education) due to blatant discrimination.

I consider myself a moderate Liberal and I can honestly say, Don Lemon made Elon Musk look good. What a hatchet job this interrogation was. Several times I wanted to reach out and slap Lemon. He wasn't listening to what Musk said. He was just hearing how he could try and twist what Musk was saying. Musk's rapid responses impressed me and made me think about things in a way I hadn't before. Kudos to Musk for not allowing Lemon's type of gotcha journalism on his platform.
But Elon is racist. Proven by courts of laws a few times already. His denial is based on numbers, I e. he pretended not to know, despite all the evidences produced in a court of law. Ignorance is not a defence in a court of law. The fact that racism is proven to exist in Tesla, means that Elon, as the CEO is also racist.
As to the excuse that standards are lowered at any place at all, is just speculation. There is a passing standard, and there is ultimate perfectionist standard. Just because you do not achieve the perfection standard, if it ever exists, doesn't mean that standards are lowered. Because standard measurements have errors, so perfection standards are also erroneous.
Tesla never made perfect cars. In fact, initially, there were so many errors that many people died. Had Tesla lowered standards? Of course but Tesla just make a practical lowering of standards, to be acceptable to the objective in serving the interests of the community.
If the passing standards are too high, there will be less doctors or pilots, so in the end will kill more people. No matter how high the Standard is, lack of doctors and pilots will cause overloads and will certainly lead to more mistakes as what had happened to Elon. Despite Elon not admitting to making mistakes in firing Twitter staff. How can you say it is not a mistake when you immediately want to hire the recently fired staff? Elon only admitted to knowing the dangers of lack of sleep, after numerous experts point out to him.
Elon was caught relying on faulty calculations because he relied on public consensus instead of rigorous peer reviewed research. Scientific research is still subject to errors, but were detected in the end because they were published and data still kept. Public consensus is fragile and many denied ever making the inconsistent statements.
"Kudos to Musk for not allowing Lemon's type of gotcha journalism on his platform."
Just to be clear, Musk isn't disallowing Lemon's type of gotcha journalism on X. He's just not offering 🍋a contract.
🍋 can still post interviews with whoever he wants on X... he just won't get the benefits he could have had with the contract.
These methods of vigilante journalism have been common and in wide use since November 8, 2016, primarily targeting President Trump. The only difference now is that they have chosen a second primary target named Elon Musk. That's because Elon has taken away Twitter, one of their biggest narrative-control tools. Lemon is not just "failing to listen". He is an accomplished propagandist who knows EXACTLY what he's doing. One of many.
Lemon is not honest, and kept race-baiting Elon with bad logic. Elon didn't take the bait. One thing Elon could have brought up is how merit sometimes favors people of color and women, such as with basketball teams. I don't see 5' white dudes on basketball teams just for "DEI". Merit is the moneymaker with any competitive sports team, and individual sports too. Simone Biles isn't amazing because she's black, it's because she's great at what she does and has the track record to prove her merit. Michael Phelps, he earned his stripes. If DEI is so important, why doesn't this apply to athletes? Obviously, there's a huge issue in allowing trans women to ruin women's sport, but that's another topic.
@@joshiepooh Exactly. Elon abides by his own rules.
Don Lemon is the sort of guy that hasn't seen the need to remove the training wheels from his advanced toddler bicycle.

Yo Elon is clearly so much smarter than Don that it’s literally shocking to watch!
Elon has just wiped the floor with that dude!
This was an EXCRUCIATING interview. I do not understand why this guy, Don Lemon is being given a platform. He lacks all of the basic attributes of a Professional Journalist.
The guy should go & stick his head in the sand for a while & pray he can recover from this disaster.
I don’t see him as a responsible source of news or information.
Lemon by name lemon by nature.
🤑🤣he wanted to squeeze himself...🍋just like 🤔dumb rhymes with Don-o casi-🤷♀️😅🙃🫣
Elon finally utilized the Lemon Law.
I love lemons, but this Lemon is too sour for me
It's like watching a granny get into the boxing ring with a champion boxer.
there's a guy who doesn't understand freedom of speech, censorship nor how a platform works
Don Lemon clearly had a political agenda, and this felt more like an interrogation than an interview. Don was outgunned in this interview with Elon, it was like bringing a knife to a gunfight, no contest.
So thats why Elon didnt want this interview on twitter/X.. Because he outgunned Don so hard lmao..
@@LunnarisLP What are you talking about? Elon didn't remove anything. Stop listening to msm.
deluded
He brought a broken toothpick to a gunfight.
Don: Let's remove a perfectly legal post that we THINK is a hate speech.
Musk: So you want sensorship.
Don: No.
The problem is that Lemon simply assigns the label 'hate speech' to something when that's the very item in question. The Bible is full of hate speech, but I don't want it banned, even if I would recommend people not take it literally (and most don't).
Elon, please don't give this piece of work a platform.
It used to be that the media reported something and you decided what you think of it, now the media tells you what to think and you have to decide if it really happened
I'm 7 minutes in and already understand Elon much better than before, while Don Lemon stammers on about the same thing he doesn't want to understand ...
Lots and lots of doctors of Indian decent! He keeps saying he has evidence.... where is this magic evidence don!
Lemon demonstrates what we know about the Left; they lack courage and honesty. I don't mean nominal liberals (which includes myself), but Leftist ideologues who seem impervious to facts that lie outside of their ideological narrative.
He's looking for soundbites. He's a self promoter.
doin K bumps and ignoring his kids?
I thought his ketamine infusiom was administered by hypo-spray.
'I believe in freedom of Speech as much as you'..
NO obviously he doesn't - if so - why try to press for more moderation/censorship... that just doesn't add up. Elon is absolutely right here.
How can Elon believe in freedom of speech by banning Don Lemon based on his use of free speech in the interview? Super inconsistent, arbitrary. Elon ignored his own rules for free speech: take it down if it’s illegal. Was Don Lemon’s speech illegal? If no, to be fair, Elon should have kept the invitation open even if he disagreed with Don’s speech. Very disappointed in Elon, but he has time to recover and do the right thing with regard to free speech.
@@ephorntubeYou might want to get your facts straight before posting incorrect information that proves you are just parroting what you somewhere; Elon didn't ban Don Lemon, he merely cancelled a business deal they were negotiating; I just checked and Don Lemon is "trending" on X, so how he banned? check it out for yourself, I dare you!
Wtf are you talking about? He isn’t even banned 😂
@@ephorntube Don Lemon is not banned. His entire video and channel is still up on his X account.
X has suspended thier business partnership with Don Lemon- the exact reasons are not known but presumably are due to Elon's impressions of Don Lemon after this interview. As an organization- they are within thier rights to pursue business partnerships with whoever they choose.
@@shankars6324 I don’t see any videos for the Don lemon show on X. The business arrangement is to have a show on the x platform. If it fell through because of something revenue related, I’m with Elon. But the timing creates the optics that there is no show as a result of the interview. If that is the case, Don is cancelled for speaking his mind, the opposite of free speech. Elon of course has this right to cancel anything, (hopefully ONLY if illegal as he’s made clear), but if it is related to Elon disagreeing with Don’s views from the interview, Elon isn’t practicing what he preaches: freedom of speech whether you agree or disagree.
If anyone remembers they lowered the standards for people of color in the fire departments and that was wrong as well
Don Lemon must be a real hoot at parties, he would accused the coffee pot of racism for having dark roast as an option.
Musk is out of your league Lemon
Good on Elon Musk for not tolerating this guy's attempted gotcha bs.
“I believe in free speech but people shouldn’t be able to say things I disagree with freely”
So Don Lemon gets to decide what's hate speech. Free speech includes things Don may not like.
A load of turnips are smarter than lemon.
Don’t insult turnips.

Skills, talent, integrity...and that's IT. - ELON
Exactly his point he was trying to prove over DEI lowering standards
DEI must be changed for STI (skills talent integrity)
Skills and talent. Integrity? Only free speech when he approves
@@andybarrett6472 no free speech is free speech
That should be on a t-shirt
It’s ironic that don is saying musks view is racist, without acknowledging that dei by its nature picks people out based on minority status, implying that without them, they would never make it, while musks is saying to judge people based on the content of their character, which is what the civil rights movement used to be about. Strange times.
He’s trying so hard to push Elon and Elon’s not having it lol
