- Trying to restore the original white interior in the 2017 Tesla Model S. It hasn't been cleaned in OVER 1 YEAR! They were disgusting. I will go over how I clean them. That stitching is still so dark though. So that will be part 2 - Trying to restore the stitching...

This baby wipe thing is actually a really good tip for Tesla owners. White seats or not. It works. These guys did a video on this years ago and I’ve been using simple wipes for years and it has always worked. I have huge muddy dogs.
I did my black interior on my Model 3 yesterday. The wipes looked just as dirty as yours when I was finished. I’ll be doing this more often.
Those seats were just dirty, that’s the only reason the baby wipes worked. ANY clothing that would have dye transfer will NOT clean off with anything that’s not very aggressive, and even then, some dyes WILL NOT come off these white seats!
I know from experience! My white Tesla seats have permanent staining and I clean them weekly!
Thanks for sharing. I take it you wouldn’t get white seats again?
Your videos are so super entertaining! Thanks.✌🏻
I just got my 2022 Tesla Y with white seats. What is the coating you suggest for preventative grime and build up? Thanks for this baby wipe video!
Going out to wipe down my black seats now! lol
Let me know if you get any stuff off of it
A little, but nothing like you cleaned off Scott's seats.
So great and so sorry I didn’t go with the white interior on my Model 3 LR. Regarding the stitching, I have a 20 year old BMW M3 and the steering wheel has tri color stitching, over the years it has almost turned black. I used dish detergent and a toothbrush and it cleaned it up perfectly, the stitching is now clean and bright, looking like brand new.
In the owners manual, Tesla cautions against using soaps containing detergent on its vegan leather.
@@toddr.lockwood843I wish it was real leather.
@@waqmanime This material actually feels better than real leather and is easier to clean too. I know from experience, having owned several Ferraris. The only thing missing is the leather smell, and there are products that you can use to add that.
@@toddr.lockwood843 What about the durability?
@@waqmanime Seems to be fine. I own two Teslas that have it, one with 55K miles. No scratches, cracks or other blemishes.
🤗👍LOVE ❤️THE WHITE INTERIOR AND DON’T MIND THE WORK …YOUR TIPS ARE VERY HELPFUL…THANKS ERIK 🤗👍😍😍😍
Well done sir!
I took your recommendation to order white seats same time as you ordered 2022 mS. I love them and get numerous compliments. I refrain from wearing blue jeans on white seats and wish there was a quick install white seat cover. My 2017 mS had jeans stains on beige seats.
I had black interior for 5 years. Switching to white since my son is older 😀😀
Why would Scott clean when he just parks it and the car magically gets cleaned 😀
White in my Plaid! Absolutely!
Mild dish washing detergent might be a good solution for the stitching or a mild clothing detergent for sensitive skins/woollens and silks.

baby wipes should do the trick
Nice sunroof! 😎
I don’t know if my seats are faulty but wet wipes didn’t work AT ALL. They are stained pretty terribly even tho I wipe them down pretty much weekly
Wow. Thanks for sharing. Not sure what to pick. Lol
Interesting! I just received my TMX 2022 with white interior. What do mean by ceramic coating?
I wonder if steam cleaning will work on the stitching? I can't think of anything else that could work on the thread.
Nobody remembers Murphy's Oil Soap?
I prefer white. The seat is in great condition for 5 Years.
Tried but the Blue from Jeans does not go away. And tip on That?
Dawn soap and warm water should get it out.
NOTHING will fully remove heavy dye transfers like blue jeans. ONLY way to fix is to re-dye the seats white
Any luck getting the stains out?
I just spray my black seats with windex and wipe with a microfiber. Seems to clean them up okay.
I use alcohol with magic eraser works great then use leather care
While I personally prefer the white seats and have them in my Tesla, I find that they are susceptible to permanent stains that no product (safe for the seats) can remove. People should plan accordingly if they wear new jeans or yoga style pants as those appear to be the most guilty offenders.
Yoga pants like lululemon stain?
@@jl5686 not sure about lulu, but cheaper yoga pants 100% stain
I chose black. Problem solved.
14 Tesla's wtf 😂 I thought I bought to many I bought three model S
Good luck with removing the blue jeans stains! My "white" seats in Model 3 are now light blue just after 2,5 years.
So you haven’t been able to get out the blue jeans stains?
@@theticoboy, nope... If I understood correctly the only way is to paint the seats.
