I have a kitty 🐱 like Koke, and a rare female orange found in our back yard. Poor baby was abandoned by her mother at 2 weeks old. She was surrendered to a rescue because she needed a surrogate mother cat! We bought her back for $100 and $150 in toys and food. She’s a loved treasure full of love and joy! Blessings to you and KeKe!

I lived in California for a few years and felt 2 earthquakes. I don't know how you do it. 5 seconds seems like 5 minutes when the ground is shaking. And than a 🌋!! Prayers for everyone 🙏

God made the volcano! By his will, it erupts!
We hear of all disasters worldwide now due to various media/technology but all these also happened millions/thousands of years ago. It's mother nature, the ebb and flow of things, the yin and Yang of life, a time to born and a time to die, like the seasons of the year. In 2018, severe bushfires/no rain for months in California, Australia. Now 27.20.21, report of forth coming torrential rain on those areas in California. The much needed water will not fill reservoirs but seep deep into ground, so forest, etc regrow again. It's the cycle of the earth. Civilizations come and go. It was most amazing to actually see (to believe), artefacts from King Tuts days in Egypt, even spices eg cardamon seeds from that time exist today. We, human species are only a VERY tiny fraction of this beautiful universe, life is too short to spew evil, false news, cause division amongst peoples, etc. The Creator of all bless everyone especially those in La Palma🙏☘️
As someone who has been through a lot of big quakes, my advice is to get out of the house, as fast as possible. Forget the doorway, get outside on the ground and look up for any hazards coming down on you. Great vids, stay safe.

I understand the uneasy feeling about earthquakes. We get a lot here in the Bay Area of California . I remember feeling one 4.3 and ran took my children under the table ! Then waiting in case of after shocks . It’s good to be prepared in case it happens . Take care God bless
Remember the Richter scale is a logarithmic scale. That means the strength increases by 10 times for every increase of 1. That means 2 on the richter Scale is 10 times 1 and only 1 tenth of 3, etc. Take care.
Colin, is the Richter scale applicable to tremors that originate from volcanic activity?
I live in San Francisco, and we know about fault lines. But, I was visiting the Seattle region, when Mt. St. Helens, erupted in 1980. The term that they used for that seismic activity was different from "land fault" activity. I'm sorry that I can't recall what that term was.
This is fascinating.
So a magnitude 9.0 earthquake would be enormous, a M10.0 would be colossal, and an 11.0 would be double-ginormous 😬😬😬

It sounds like things are getting a little more intense. What is worrying is the 10 centimeter lift. That much lift would mean much stronger quakes and or eruptions. The lift on the volcano is magma is it not?

My cat is name’s Keke, too. I found her 30” off the ground in a shrub/bush, alone as a 1-2 week old neonatal kitten. She is 3+ years old now and is a black, orange and tan female cat. We get earthquakes here. She doesn’t like them and alerts me when they happen.

@@juliocean1331 I now know how a cat lady evolves... started with one feral ginger tom "ginger".... followed by a black kitten "squeaks"... followed by gingers family...tab and three kits... gutsy, camo, and quin ( quin got run over)...tab also died attacked by dogs... then gutsy had 3 kits, camo had four...last count actually living with us are 9...no vets available to spay and neuter. ... and the kits are flueff, hot spot, coal (m's)...grey camo, camo 2 ... star, stripe!! ...
