Sorry, I had to use my phone to film the screen because I didn’t have a software with a crosshair lol… I think the point still stands, what are your thoughts on the dot or iron sights not lining up with center screen while firing? Should the rest of the camera move for the recoil rather than the iron sights or the red dot?? There has to be a better way of handling recoil that doesn’t create this extra inconsistency… Technically, you could give yourself an advantage if it never gets fixed by just using a monitor dot like in this video, but I feel like it ruins immersion to some degree and is arguably an unfair advantage over ppl without one…thoughts??
This is becoming more and more common. It is because games are being designed with controllers in mind and they port in kbm as an afterthought. This issue probably makes controller play a little more "immersive" I guess because on controller nobody really needs to look at the dot, the aim assist does that for you. I get the feeling there are very few developers out there who can play kbm.
100% correct that's why no new games have free aim lobby's I play on controller free aim I wouldn't mind playing against other people who appreciate free aim very annoying
It might be bloom or it might be just the way they do recoil but I think it def adds inconsistency, there are also people claiming that using camos on your weapons adds desync or something... I'm honestly not completely sure what is going on lol
@@dartlinfps it looks and feels like bloom... When your crosshair isn't hitting where you're aiming. I was wondering why it felt like I couldn't hit anything at range in the first part of the magazine but it gets accurate at the end... Hasn't always been like this. Nice catch...
I think Battlefield 4 had similar problems nearly 11 years ago and they just ripped visual recoil out of the game. This problem being in so many modern games now shows that FPS is just going backwards, swear to god.
somebody else said this might be "bloom" which may be right because in my testing, I cant find any combination of attachments to make the dot stay centered during shooting or even eliminate or noticeably reduce weapon sway even... I think this may be similar and just a bad mechanic that needs reworking or it may work on controller but make no sense otherwise from the fundamental standpoint of fps it seems most fps games are being developed by controller players 9/10 times which makes sense but also opens up the possibility of error because of aim assist LOL things will literally not be noticed while playing on controller unless it's some anomaly player who never uses aim assist ps I think we played against each other on noodleplex the day they did the movement nerfs I saw you die to me because of the nerfs (you were fresh off a fight with somebody else and trying to re position and looked like a rock on a puddle) and saw you kill me within the first few jumps before it kicking in LOL I still see ppl complain about bunny hopping the nerf didn't do anything except punish ppl trying to carry using movement (your name is scouttrooper or something + you were playing libertad with an acr that match I was using a vector I believe )
it actually seems like I would have a diff (better) experience...I also need to turn the numbers off because that made seeing the decoupling a bit harder, it's wild how this visual recoil isn't really adding challenge (maybe to a controller) but it just adds inconsistency in its current form
I tried, it didn't make a difference in the range at least, the camo may have some type of effect in match though regarding the netcode and how the game does have to send some type of data to other players for them to see the camo on your gun so it's totally a possibility, could be specific to certain guns or could be certain skins causing it...hopefully not the mastery camos bc that would be comical to grind for something that makes your connection worse...I gotta try playing some without camos, I think ppl may be experiencing this and possibly something netcode related on top of it involving camos making it feel even worse on top of the issues with netcode we already have
@@dartlinfps yup, heard people have much better results when playing without a camo on their guns. A few videos about it on youtube too, damn that sucks cuz I just unlocked max level with the M4A1, AK and ACR.
@@AOAOffical the acr has a weird first 3 bullet jump then is perfectly aligned regardless of attachments, the ak also has something like that, the MDR seems to be the WORST in terms of the misalignment which would explain why I like the lvoa c more because it seems more accurate due to this mechanic (lvoa has a slight deviation)
Idk man i wish that they will change that thing one day, that is rly hard for mnk, rofl dont go we need more mnk players, of course it is less satisfying on controller...
I literally only use the roller if I have to get gameplay footage and can't get a match on kbam because input based is on by default so majority of players can't even be matched with while playing on mnk...any time I have a choice it'll be mnk even on a game like warzone where Im at a disadvantage
So this is what it is !! I was wondering why I was missing so many bullets while spraying at range with the AK and ACR , it constantly feels like you re on target but the bullets are not hitting or theres bloom. Ill be trying out a monitor crosshair, thanks !
I'm not sure if it is bloom or if it is just how recoil is handled but it is strange bc there's nothing you can do attachment wise to fix it leading me to believe it's really bloom
Hey dartlin, i was comenting on your video about wierd recoil in firing range, just go there aim at direction where are dummies, and do 20 sprays without controling recoil, every one is different, idk are they trying to mimic flinch like in real scenario, it is always same at wall but when you are facing dummies they are random trust me. Could be good material for video, test that out and you will see.
Thank you, this might actually confirm what somebody else mentioned about this possibly being weapon bloom, if it is rng and truly random patterns that is probably pretty compelling evidence to believe there is in fact random weapon bloom (which would explain some things for sure)
I am curious if this could have anything to do with desync because the target dummies from what I understand are essentially acting like players inside the server in the practice range ... This would explain why ppl have reported bad hitreg with the training dummies because their health pool is server side while your hit markers are client side (so you may be getting hit markers that don't register on the server side) I never really noticed an inconsistency in recoil patterns at least on the range dummies on the right hand side of the range but if it is on the left side that makes even more sense as they're probably taking the profiles of the factions for the health pools (unless they just have 100 health except phantoms) I guess this could be debunked by shooting a libertad and seeing if they heal (prob doesn't) I need to def do some testing tomorrow All signs from what you say point to weapon bloom honestly
Im not trying to hit dummies, just aim in dummy direction somewhere between them it doesn't matter and find some vertical line you can orientate, lift mouse and shot, you will see what i mean, for example when im shooting at wall recoil is alwauys in same line it pulls upwards to the right, but when i shoot near them it so random that in many cases pulls upwards to the left.

I thought the same exact thing, most games are made for majority of players of which maybe 1/10 is on kbam
@@dartlinfps If it's really that low than that's really sad. It would be good if someone could get official figures from a major company.

My monitor has built in crosshair feature using that has made my aim so much better
I might have to do the same until things get changed, def seems to improve accuracy
if you play on mouse you need to use 3rd party crosshairs
