Lol, It take a while to get it right. Tee practice helped a lot. The key things are to keep the front side closed, meet the ball out infront and swing over the front shoulder. Last part sounds weird, but the results speaks for itself.
So true! I started subbing for my buddy’s team this summer and when we told me it was difficult i was clowning on him Proceeded to strike out twice my first game 😂 it’s not as hard as hitting a 75 MPH fastball but it’s really a tough adjustment
I’m glad you said this, because I thought was just the lonely dumb one for not figuring it out quicker. I’d hit 50 balls a few times a week to master it and it finally stuck. The throwing a frisbee analogy stick with me and now my snap and timing finally connect
For the longest time I could not figure out how to cut a ball but a couple weeks ago I said fuck it and tried it again and my god that was the furthest ball I’ve ever hit in my life but now I just need to figure out how to do it on a consistent basis
@@rymanryan fundamentals my a$$$! I played a lot of softball in Phoenix, Arizona and I got tired of watching these little scrawny dudes with pipe cleaner arms and beer bellies coming up to the plate with Juiced bats hitting bombs and then talking shit!! With regular bats, they would barely put it out of the infield!!
Definitely harder then it looks and to do it with power takes skill quick question do you do your own edits I just started filming our games this year and didn't realize how much time it actually takes much respect to you
They should call it the shaved and rolled instead of cut. Not giving the bat doctors enough credit, making it seem a stock bat will would have same effect.
I spent a while last year working on cuts. Finally got it down for the playoffs. I gave it enough power to get it to mid outfield, and give me a double with my speed
Different swing for those...you bounce those out ..its why monstas and upswings work well in ASA ASA squaring the ball works better but cut swings work extremely well too just have to have a little better timing as anything in the air that limited flight ball dies..the infield will still not want to get in front of it tho
U Trip balls are unnecessarily hard. in the rec league we play in, you can rip the shit out of the ball and clear the fence with a much safer ball design. I still don't understand why they feel the need to use such hard balls, and busted ass bats.
The hands lead the swing down and to the ball. When they get to contact point, the wrist snaps and the bat head whips out to hit ball. At contact the swing levels out, providing either backspin or a nasty knuckleball.
Respect to these guys this shit is so much harder to do than it looks
Exactly. Get sick off people acting like its the easiest crap on the planet

@@Mieslk2it's easy as shit when you get the timing down. Just meet the ball right before the downward point.

The tomahawk cut on high pitches is one of my fav base hit strokes.
Those first two were lethal.
High arc softball is actually a lot harder than you’d expect
No
Yeah she is
This is all low lol try this while playing unlimited

Been told for years don't drop elbow. Struggles. Then couple weeks ago was told to get the hands above shoulders. That simple.
I'm 57, going to do this shit this spring!
When the bat does all the work for you, you just barely swing lol.
Those juiced bats do amazing things!!
The bats aren’t juiced 😂 the dudes just have really good swings

Everytime i hit the ball it goes like a mile in the air if i can figure out how to hit it straight id hit a HR evey bat
Stop swinging up ...its not baseball
Level swings produce more power as you spin the ball out and the ball isn't absorbing as much energy and dying
I really need to learn this
I have playlist on my page to help learn how to cut the ball.

Whatever you do, don't edit your videos like this guy. He ruined every clip with that stupid slow-mo/camera shake/jump cut
Where did the shuffle steps go?
Not one opposite field hit
Not on this one.lol
Why would u ever want to hit it oppo when you can hit it like this? There's always one of you jealous douches on a highlight film
You ruined every one of these clips man, just show them hitting it in normal speed without jump cuts or shakes!
Some of them guys are cutting good but some others just have hot ass bats with no mechanics

Not to mention those bats are probably screaming hot. Give em some slow as ASA, 98 mph, soft ass core ball. Thatll slow that shit down quick.

Why don’t you guys pitch the ball high? Might as well hit off a tee with those lobbed in pitches
@@tsmidds8137 sure if you wanna walk every batter

Do y’all notice none of them are swinging down
They are slightly swinging down on it
It’s not always a downward swing to cut it, just a level swing with good timing

He ain’t no SS…
With illegal bats
Nope lol it’s just technique
I’m playing second left fielder yikes
Backspin
Can't watch with this stupid music
No actual high arc pitches.. these are all lay up pitches smh
Man, these fools are over 6 feet tall, plus , no high pitches , these are easy to hit
Easy😂😂😂😂😂
