I was just about to say, like I know alot about all the item passives and that kind of stuff but sometimes it’s just nice for a little refresher and who better to hear it from than the man himself 😂
I love to see people using horus support, I didn't see anyone using horus support until far after I started using him in support so I'm inclined to think I found that meta but I really do love seeing him doing so well since he's generally out of solo meta rn
My favorite niche item pickup is Shield of Regrowth on Ah Puch. The speed boost after picking up a body actually gives him an escape, solving his biggest weakness!
It was much better back when you could build shaman's ring and have good numbers on burst damage, pen, and cooldown, but these days you have to fill so many slots with other items, it tends to gimp your damage too much, esp when Coin and if you wanna get crazy Gem of Focus are easily integrated.
I fee like bulwark is also a situational item that gets overlooked all the time. It's good against big burst magical damage, so if a team is running double mages and thats why its situational. I think a very underrated item thag hasn't been meta in a while
Magis Blessing is also great for assassins who to help them engage on CC heavy team comps. Forexample Bastet needs to jump in on the enemy team to be able to get in range to do the damage. If she gets cced she might not get out again.
Man, I need to learn how to antiheal because I’m still new. I had good teammates who advised me to buy antiheal when I was dying too fast. Thankful for them
I have a question about magi's blessing in higher level play. Is it built on assassins somewhat often? I dont often see assassins with it, but when I do I always realize theyll be more of a pain to deal with. Some dont even engage unless they have the passive up.
Tip: shield of regrowth is great on Assassins that have a heal built into their kit. It procs on Thanatos' 1 and Arachne's 1 (off the top of my head) and can really help you stick to gods.
I personally build winged blade on Artemis third slot to keep her safe, the ccr and movement speed and the slow reduction keeps her safe so its a must build In my opinion
You say all of that about the toxic blade (and other anti-heals). Meanwhile in casual I see 0 of my teammates get anti-heal against Aphro, Sylvanus, Cupid, Pele, Guan combo (or replace any of them with Ra, Hel, Anubis, Freya, Chang'e, Horus, Erlang). I'm not joking, I have played games against 4-5 healers and my team didn't get any anti-heal. One player told me this when he refused to buy divine ruin "It's pointless to buy divine ruin against Hel since she is healing outside the combat".
well there you have it, if she's just gonna heal outside combat, why bother stopping the combat healing? I see this too often too and it is one of the most frustrating things to see on your team imo.
I stopped questioning builds in pugs a long time ago. Giving myself an ulcer wondering how our support will build nothing but magical protections into a predominately physical team and then raging when getting their asses kicked and blaming the team
I guess there are those terrible teammates. But I appreciate when teammates tell me as I just started smite. Died a few times early game but after their advise on anti heal, I started wrecking the enemy team. Love it when a team works together.
I would argue that hide of the nemean lion also should be here because is an anti-basic attack items. Yes we have 3 (4 if you want to count spectral armor) physical anti-basic attack items but no magical one
Im surprised Book of the Dead isnt here, this is a weird item that can work really good under specific circumstances, its a mage item for not safe mids (without scape and stuff) who have a lot of mana to defend themselves against heavy burst enemies (Scylla, Loki, Medusa...) This seems veeeeeryyy situational to me
I wouldn't really consider it "situational" considering it's not built to specifically counter anyone, and should work just fine on any mage if you have a book build. Whereas items like Spectral Armor, Witchblade, Pestilence, etc. are all meant to counter something the enemy is doing & don't work that well if you just built them every game no matter what. And something like Caduceus Shield doesn't even work with every god, so it's situational whether or not you'll get any value out of it. It's probably similar to Typhon's Fang, where you will be building Bancroft's & Typhon's together & similarly building Book of Thoth, Soul Reaver, and Book of the Dead together.
1) i didn’t know adc was suppose to build anti heal I thought that wasted an item spot for them 2) someone in a match recently told me contagion aura doesn’t work can anyone verify this or were they just trolling?
If you’re going a crit build and need a bit of attack speed still then shadowsteel shuriken isn’t a terrible option. But there’s usually something better
Personally, I feel like Magi's Cloak is *one of* the worst items in the game. The stat spread on it is....okay, I guess, negligible protections and pretty high HP. Which would work a lot better on a tanky character than a squishy IMO, since a DPS god like a burst mage or ADC usually can't afford to waste an item slot, especially with starter items being permanent and so valuable, on an item that gives 0 offensive stats whatsoever. Except that, tanks don't usually *need* the bubble effect, they're, well, tanky enough to usually survive being hit by some hard CC effects and shrugging them off. The bigger problem, however, is that in probably 90% of scenarios that I see people building Magi's, it's absolutely worthless. If you build Magi's against certain specific gods, such as Nox, He Bo, Thor, Bellona, etc, gods with instant, ranged hard CC, you effectively just wasted an entire item slot on a shitty defensive item with trash stats and no passive, because any of these gods with CC will almost always make sure your bubble is popped the second they see it. If you build Magi's against *heavy CC comps*, like a Geb+Da Ji+Agni, or something, you again essentially just wasted an item, because they're just going to pop the bubble on cooldown. The only scenario I consider Magi's to be even slightly valuable is if you're fighting a team comp with only like, one or two hard CC's, like if you have a Kuku/Ares/Medusa comp, or something. And at that point, why not just buy fucking beads, if the only thing your Magi's is doing is countering the Ares ults?
first of all its usually bought on junglers primarily but can be bought on other roles ofc , you compare the magi value to their cc value , does their comp have really good cc to lock you down and insta kill you ? say you are playing susa , batz etc and you are up against scylla artemis carries so you typically blink, magi cloak the scylla 1/ art ult or their support peel, burst the scylla/artemis + their actives down you either die with their adc/mid dead or still be able to get out somehow but now its a 4v4 with the enemy team having -1 heavy dmg dealer/ less objective secure potential and your team should be in a pretty decent spot but you shouldnt be buying it on everyone of course it just depends on your team, your own pick, the enemy team picks , if you are very far ahead or behind and so many other factors tbh :)
It's for junglers and dive engage supports/solos Gods like Bacchus that need to hard commit to an enemy backline, who will not get back out if they get CC'd too many times The prots and health are a nonfactor- you buy the item because CC is an issue and you either don't have room for beads or beads isn't enough CCR Beads is a waste of an active slot on supports and solos: especially currently where we have a lot of potent options for actives
nemesis , tsuki ,set , kinda cama ? they all have very potent slow and specially nemesis if you she ults you you cleanse the slow and get movement speed boost so that makes her ult way less scary
Midguardian. Just don't. Just get witched. It 100% better. Midguard is not more popular. Why would I want to wait for someone to hot me 3 times when I can just stand in their presence? The ONLY advantage to Midguard is the movement slow.
AntiHeal is situational? well try saying that to players that think it's mandatory building no matter what The stats aren't even bad to make it even less situational
@@kennyrecio9277 it is helpful but its situational, why would you build anti heal against a team with no heals, but yet ppl keep building no matter what situation. There's even people that say that antiheal is mandatory and you should build it every match, and that's not true.
it would be cool if anti-heal items are truly situational, but you can buy it by the stats alone (that are pretty good not gonna lie). Its so annoying when you want to make a build with some healing just because and some random guy just build antiheal for no reason
This video is way too short considering how many other items were left out. If you're going to make a video talking about this topic, putting in more effort and actually listing the rest of the items would be better. Nothing wrong with longer videos.
It drives me crazy when teammates build things like Mage's Cloak versus a Nox, or other easily applied cc. I do love eating bubbles for free though. But seeing an ally build both Contagion and Pestilence makes me want to tear my hair out.
I have a pretty good understanding of just about every item and god in the game, but I just watch these videos because Inter is a 🐐

It's nice to see how familiar I am with the items - maybe I am not so hopeless after all.
My thoughts exactly

True. I don't know why people don't build it more. Very Underrated.
Coz high cd and poor stats

I think Mantle of Discord is much more common on Assassins. Usually as a sixth item. It gives twice the stats and has a very good passive of it's own.

My god, FINALLY a video like this
I personally build winged blade on Artemis third slot to keep her safe, the ccr and movement speed and the slow reduction keeps her safe so its a must build In my opinion
Yet again intersect saving my terrible builds
Also important to note that winged blade is better on tanks with low mobility like sylv or ymir since they have no dash or jump to mitigate slows
Quick question - how does the slow from Midgardian interacts with the game's innate CC-length reduction?

I love doing this item on Kukulcan, the shield is sometimes bigger than a Nike's ult 👁️👄👁️
Its not situational item at all. It have decent stats, and passive procs always when you drop below % hp. It always works.
It might be a bigger shield, but Nike is usually built with many more protections. So hers lasts longer.
