    Impact and Simplex are really 2 different detectors as one requires different techniques than the other...Impact, you don't have to swing as fast like the Simplex...Impact likes more of a medium to slow swing as Simplex like a faster swing also if you slow down your speed with the Impact you'll get a more stable vdi also vlx2 is a better program that di3...

      Thanks for the input on this Darnell..I been a fan of yours since 2017..This was pretty much the first time i used the Impact..I did fire it up one other time and my first find was a 10 inch wheat penny right on my front grass..I will definitely give the vlx modes a try soon...I'm still reading the manual..A lot of things to learn about with this detector..I like that though..Definitely different than the Simplex..

      @Eduardo Omar thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
      Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

    Interesting experiment, enjoyed it! I have the Simplex 2.77 and the Anfibio Multi, I like the Simplex, great little detector but the Anfibio is my goto machine and the Simplex is the backup, also great to keep in the truck for impromptu hunts.

    very interesting. A good basic side by side comparison. I can definitely hear the difference in the two machines on the iffy targets.

    The Impact seems like a good machine, the Simplex is highly sensitive with few to no filters so you end up digging a ton of trash but it sure locks onto the good stuff! Looking forward to more about the Impact. Thanks for the video!

      @WeirdGuyInPark  3 года назад

      Thanks D yes the simplex does sound off loud and clear..

    • @timothygodwin1189
      @timothygodwin1189 3 года назад

      The simplex has plenty of filters and you don't have to dig barely any trash if you learned how to use it . And the reason why is vid signals don't over lap with garbage so all you have to do is lower the volume on the vid numbers that correspond to the garbage keeping the good tones loud and clear and with that being said you don't even have to use any discrimination at all . But I wouldn't have to tell you that if you people would use your brains and and just read the darn instruction manual!

    • @GarnetCarmichael
      @GarnetCarmichael 3 года назад +2

      @@timothygodwin1189 there is no volume control on the Simplex other than for iron volume and overall volume. You can't adjust volumes for VDI's ( not VID's) . Save your breathe for cooling your soup!

      @@GarnetCarmichael lol Diggin D ya theres no such thing as a "Visual Display Volume"..I dug 5 mercs already this year and not one of them had a perfectly solid vdi number..The numbers always fluctuate a bit when you pass the coil over a few times..I'll let this guy have his say in my comment section as long as he doesn't start insulting my subscribers like he did me already..I'm a very passive person though :)

    Hi, I want to buy a Nokta Impact metal detector. Can this system probe to a depth of more than one meter? Thank you for your answer.

  • @Mark-TBH

    So you pulled the trigger and got one? I took mine out last week and I think the coil went bad. It would swing the machine and when I would stop it would signal a high tone (every time). If I bumped the coil it signaled a high tone. I spent most of the day trying to either replicate the signal again or digging nothing. Luckily it is still under warranty.

    • @burtreynolds2969
      @burtreynolds2969 3 года назад

      My simplex has started to do this. Left side of the coil, if lightly bumped is letting off high tones. I contacted Nokta about it with a video clip, but no response yet. It's pretty frustrating when in the bush.

      Yes Mark i did..Sorry to hear your having a problem with yours..Definitely contact Nokta if it's still under warranty..I would..
