One neighbor I had growing up had a 4786 straight piped and another one had a Turbo Tiger 2 straight piped. The sounds of this video took me back to riding my 3 wheeler over to watch them plow. I almost always got to ride a few rounds with them. Thank you sir for sharing.
Very cool. I grew up watching a farm by my parents house that plowed with a 1979 International 4786 and a 1975 Steiger Panther II. The farm bought both tractors new and it was big time farming to watch in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
I really enjoy the drone footage. Especially straight above where we can really hear the engine scream. And it's a shot most people never get to see.
My friend John filmed this 4586. It was a great find. When the 4586 was new that type of view was not possible with out a helicopter. I like seeing classics from the air like this.
Always enjoy seeing and hearing the old ones.

Man I do love me so old iron still pounding the ground! This thing is a beast
😁👍👍
great video got to love the V8 sound pulling strong
I like the DV-800. You always know where a 4568, 4586 and 4786 is working.
would be nice if you guys did a view inside the cabs as well. would be cool to see how things have changed over the years in operator comfort and technology
I have a video that features the inside of my 4786 disking at ruclips.net/video/1YaaJ5HQ1bc/видео.html
Jason, its nice that they turned on the "cooling fans" to help keep you cool while filming. :)
Worlds biggest fan. 😁
I bet while editing you were wishing you could of had your tractor there to do some of the tiling also.
Nice looking old tractor and still earning its keep.
I would love a chance to run a Krause Landsaver in a big field like that with my 4786. It’s s nice set up.
I've grown to like these IHs. They didn't get their due, Stieger made big HP but IH is right there, cheaper too.
The IH 4wds unfortunately we’re not built as strong as Steigers. IH used IH components from the row crop tractors that were not built for long term heavy tillage. I own a 4786 and like it but Steigers are more solid.
I love these older tractors! Nothing fancy, no computers, no GPS, just what's needed to get the job done.
👍👍
Been waiting to see that tractor in action !!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
😁👍👍
I.love this type of tractor thank you
The V8 tractors have a great sound.
It’s always great seeing a classic tractor working in the field and a pretty good size field is that must take it a little bit of time to do that field
It was neat to see this classic working a good sized field. There was a CIH 7250 Magnum working with the 4586. I have saved the 7250 for another video.
Thanks!
The big Inter is just playin with that cultivatot like its a little toy hangin on behind. That Inter V8 sounds a little like the Cummins VT 903 but they dont rev as high. Gotta be my fav 4WD tracatore. Them and the 1466. Love the red.
😁👍👍
Thanks, that was helpful !! - Dean from Minnesota
Thank you for watching.
Definitely like seeing that big red articulated tractor.
😁👍👍
Top vídeo bom de mais parabéns
Thank you for watching.
Love the looks of these tractors !!
Me too. 😁👍
Love the older iron !!!!
😁👍👍
I always enjoy seeing old beasts like that still out in the field getting things done. Good information as always. Stay safe.
😁👍👍
Great looking 4586, almost looks new.
It’s in great shape. My understanding is it will be repainted and shined up this winter. A V8 IH is a rare sight these days.
Love the older tractors still earning their keep. Thanks.
Me too. I like finding a well cared for classic.
I love the looks and sound of that tractor!
😁👍👍
There is a farm down the Rd from where I grew up that had 4 of these. They were my favorite IH to watch!
It was mine too growing up. My neighbor bought a 4786 new in 1979. That V8 engine always let you know where the 4786 was plowing.
Son of a gun that is a beautiful rig! I am jealous as heck! One of my many dreams.
Keep it going! Love this old iron, especially red iron!
Nice 4586 still earnin her keep!
It’s not every day you see an original V8 4586 in the field. This was a nice find.
IH didn't build a ton of these.. Nice to see one with its original engine and not repowered...
When you take care and maintain machinery, it will last for decades. Just needs fresh paint. Sounds great. A nice find. Another Great BTP Episode🚜👍🎄
This farm just bought this 4586 and plans to repaint it this summer.
Great video, as usual!
Thank you for watching. This was a cool tractor to feature.
Wow, good looking tractor.
👍👍
Brings back memories of running my buddies 4568, would hear the straight pipe for days after tillage was done. 😂
Boy I would like to film a V8 4568. I got to film a repower 4568 this year.
bigtractorpower my buddy got rid of his. Just runs JD track now. 🙄😂
😢
Great video sir! I like the Tractor appearence! Thanks for the video!!!
The IH 86 series are good looking big iron.
Not a huge fan of red, but man it’s cool seeing that old beast out there still getting it done! 👍👍💪💪
The IH 86 series are solid looking tractors. They are a bit basic in their controls but good workers.
Nice tractor. I love that V8 sound when it pulls heavy.
Me too. 😁👍
He's working it!
👍👍
Man they can see you cheesing on the space station 👍👍
Bought one of these beauties in an auction today.
I’m ecstatic to say ones mine and let it do what it was born to do.
Tillage
Very cool. Congratulations. V8 power. I own a 4786 and enjoy getting every chance I can to run it.
@@bigtractorpower thank you Sir. Seeing your 4786 kind of helped provoke this too haha. Will definitely be sending you a video once I get it discing
Good tractor I like that tractor.
😁👍👍
That's a sweet old machine!
Yes it is. 😁👍
I think them are the coolest tractors I found one in my part of the country looking to buy it soon
I hope you can get it. They are cool tractors. Are you looking at a 4586?
Yes been setting for a few year I don’t know much about it I need a project for me and my son to fix up and put a finishing disc I send some pix of it if and when I get it
That’s awesome. Keep me posted.
Bigtractor you do such a great job on your videos. Keep them videos coming!!!
Thank you for watching.
First thing I noticed was his rain cap broke off just as mine did this spring running anhydrous with my 4586. 19 knife blue jet toolbar. First tractor I purchased. Lots of fun
That’s cool you have a 4586. I own a 1981 4786. It has a curved muffler. This farm just bought the 4586 and plans to restore it this winter.
I purchased mine January of 2018. I have been using it and fixing the problems that show up. I plan to paint it this next spring. I already have redone the cab. Installed an air seat. Even had the original IH radio fixed. Really stands out in my area. Everyone has the newest and the best and I'm running our family fertilizer business with a 1978. Thanks for the videos
Cool tractor.
The 86 4wds have a solid look to them.
Truly excellent video.
Thank you for watching.
Thought it was your tractor at first🚜😋
This is a nice one. I have always liked the white top 86 series. Mine is a red top. The red roof models were only made in 1981.
Old school cool
😁👍👍
Like the video !!
Thank you for watching.
That V8 had a very particular sound to it.
Love your videos. Have you ever thought of doing a review on the TRIBINE?
I would love to film a Tribine. If I knew where one was working it would be awesome to film
That's a sharp looking tractor! Have you done any fall tillage with your tractor? Steiger has come a long way! We have a PTA 280, 9580AND 3-STX 375. They are all workhorses. Thank you for the video!!!!!!
Nice Steigers. I like PTAs. My neighbor had a PTA 325 for many years. I took my 4786 to a local plow day for some tillage this fall. It is in a video posted at ruclips.net/video/1YaaJ5HQ1bc/видео.html
Lovely. 👍👍
IH V8 Power at its best.
What can stop that old beast when it is on a stroll, that is so awesome it looks basically the same as yours with only a difference in the decals
This is the 76-80 style with the white roof. The 81 models like mine have a red roof and black tri stripe decal. 81 models have a curved muffler where the 76-80 have a straight stack.
Thanks for letting us hear the tractor and no stupid music
The best music is the sound of the engine. 👍👍
Yup they don’t make tractors like they used to, just bigger better smarter and stronger yet probably with in the next ten years I’ll have to find another job since that bigger better smarter and stronger tractor will have taken my job that I love and thats just is the cold hard truth
Wow 17 miles an hour so fast..
Well that’s on the road. 5 mph is pretty steady for the field.
Good pairing implement to tractor. Love them "Baby Steigers" as I call them. I know you have a good mix of new and old but me personally would rather see older tractors such as this one than a brand new slick computer controlled machine. I have ran them both. But that is just me..........
I like finding classics likes these to share how farming used to look and sound.
Now that’s a nice man toy - - - IH forever
😁👍👍
I know where there’s one. It’s located in Sikeston Mo and it looks in great shape.
I wonder if you’ll ever get to film a 25 shank landsaver
I would like to film a 33ft. Not sure where one is running or what type of big tractor is pulling one. It would be cool to see.
bigtractorpower probably nothing short of 600 horsepower if they want to run at a good depth
Were you having traction issues there? It looked like it in the video
I am not sure what the slip was.
Love the sounds and looks of the International 4586. Why was 86 on so many International tractors dating to earlier times? Thanks! - Dean from Minnesota
The V8 powered Internationals have a great sound. You always know where they are working. The 86 series covered all the IH tractors from 76 to 81 except the 88 series 2+2 tractors. John Deere at the same time had the 30 and 40 series that coveted utility tractors to 4wds. I think a series was an easier way to keep track of a range of tractors.
13.1 Liter! I hear a turbo too
A V8 under load. Nice sound.
The DV800 engine has a sound all to its own.
Gear drive and no hydro, makes for major leg cramps by the end of a long 16 hour day.
No hydro in any 4wd that I know off. In my experience running my 4786 there is little shifting. I put it in 5th or 6th and let it roll all day at that speed. I just throttle a kid on the turns.
@@bigtractorpower If you don't have hilly fields,this is true.😎👍
Steiger in a red suit
I've got the 1/32 and 1/64 model of this one( the 1/32 has singles and the 1/64 has duals..)..
Very cool.
I also have the 1/32 and 1/64 4786 NFTS 2015....
Is that a 13 shank or 11?
That is a good question. I did not film this tractor and I could not see in the video well enough to state that detail for certain.
bigtractorpower ope🤦🏻♂️I forgot. Roven Farms?
Rove Farm’s 👍👍
Old iron
What's up Aaron!! When's your next video coming out??
@@jerrymcneil4150 hoping friday or Saturday morning
Thanks for asking I am having a good Saturday afternoon even though it's kind of sloppy here in Ohio it's a good day to stay inside for a good shop day!!
.👍
Thank you for watching. This 4586 was a nice find.
@@bigtractorpower Yes, it was. But when are we going to see you pull a ripper or chisel plow with the 4786?
Do I land owners get paid for having those windmills on their property and where does the electricity go they produce
I am not sure. I am guessing they are owned by a power Company and the electricity goes to the grid. From what I have heard I think it is a 50 year lease with the land owner and the company pays to remove the wind mill at the end of the lease.
Jim Petersen Normally they wind mills lease the ground for a set number of years. It goes to where it is needed. The electricity produced in Iowa goes to East coast where they can’t use electricity produced at coal powered production plants. Governments regulations!🤷♂️
Little tat
I think the dude strong that's driving the tractor you're not even doing a straight angle he's got problems if you can't even drive it a straight angle working ground that's the easiest thing to drive straight he's got problems big big problems
