Hello for anyone that has or knows about this light/speaker, before I spend the money on it, I wanted to know if the speaker would be loud enough for my classroom? Or should I just got with a separate speaker. I currently have the Govee hexagonal lights and just purchased the curtain lights. Some input would be greatly appreciated as I am the type that likes when a speaker has the ability to make a room sound like a party! Thanks!
As a huge fan / user of govee products. I think this lamp is amazing. Just need to work out where I would put it so I can then argue the case with my wife. However before I get this I think my next govee purchase is going to be the 12 inch ceiling light they are releasing in the next few weeks.
First time I’ve watched one of your reviews, and i can honestly say i really enjoyed it! Great review and love your persona. I will subscribe, oh and i just purchased the lamp as have many other Govee products. It would be good if i could get hue and Govee to talk together though!!
Big fan of govee and glad they're releasing more options. I'm fond of the cylinder lamp myself and just purchased another one. Looks like a lava lamp on a stick haha. The white noise integration with the lamp is certainly going to make some people happy but I'm not sure the speaker part of the lamp has any value for me.
Yep ordered 2 with $70 off on both. Can't beat that at all! I will customize the tube and top with Oak laminate to fit my aesthetic . Hope maybe in the future they will allow them to play in stereo mode..maybe when they get the Matter firmware update we could see that option
Someone needs to time sync this with each Starwars movie and have the light recreate each lightsaber and laseer pulse. Obviously needs a pair for full effect
To me the govee software is not bad but pretty limited to the platform itself. So when I want to extend my Smarthome and have the limitations I know from an other govee product I bought, I wouldn't consider any further products of this brand
I love the idea of this. I currently have the Govee LED strip on my Sky Glass TV with the top mounted camera. If this can extend what that kit does with its impressive ambient glow to the corners of my room, AND act as extra speakers without cutting out the onboard Atmos speakers in the TV…I may just be in the market. Already owner of a floor lamp here, generic brand tho. I’ve always wanted one by Govee which I’ve become a fan of over the last few years. But always felt like a bummer the fact that the Lyra was about 4foot tall only. Now that they have the about 6foot tall one I figure it’s a great opportunity to treat myself with one. Great review by the way 👍👏🤝
What they need to do is allow the music mode lights to be one colour. Like if i am listening to Jazz or soul music id want just warm light, not an erray of multiple colours.
They should have teamed up with Sonos for this

The price is a bit high for what you get IMO. I have the Govee backlighting for the TV and I thought that was an excellent value.

Don’t know if you saw, but in my tv backlights review I designed a 3d printable bracket to help adapt for sky glass! Made it downloadable too 👍

govee needs to stop releasing awesome products, now i want to replace all my old floor lamps with this one :(
I'm not a fan of the whole "floor lamp" thing. I presume you could just do away with the pole and have the lights run similar to their rope light?

Can you only send audio via Bluetooth - and not cast to it as a smart speaker? Missed opportunity for an otherwise "smart" device if so!
Also can the speakers work as a surround set up? Can they be connected to my Samsung TV. That would be awesome.
Can it stereo pair ? How does having a speaker so low on the floor affects the quality of sound ? Another doitall "thing" ?
i really think govees dream view is super powerful i just got the tv lite 3 and synced it to a couple other lights and it sucks me in so hard
