«Otyken» - музыкальная группа коренных народов Сибири, которая смешивает элементы современной поп-музыки с местной народной музыкой, используя традиционные инструменты, тексты песен и языки. «Otyken» - слово на чулымском языке, в переводе на русский означающее «священное место силы; место, где воины складывали оружие».[
Группа «Otyken» была образована в 2015 году Андреем Медоносом, а их дебютный альбом был выпущен в 2018 году.[1] По состоянию на декабрь 2023 года у группы более двух миллионов подписчиков на TikTok, более двухсот тысяч ежемесячных слушателей на Spotify, и шестьсот тысяч подписчиков на RUclips. Этническая музыкальная группа «Otyken» состоит из разных представителей малочисленных народов Сибири: чулымцев, кетов, селькупов, хакасов и долган. Их основной стиль - это соединение разных музыкальных жанров со звуком этнических инструментов и горлового пения. Такую музыку называют World Music. Треки выходят на чулымском, хакасском, долганском и русском языках. Участники группы играют как на аутентичных и редких инструментах - варгане, икили, хомысе, - так и на барабанах, бас-гитаре, клавишных и саксофоне. Горловое пение нередко сочетают с речитативом. Folk-pop group Otyken were the guest of honor at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The group had planned to perform in the US in 2023, including on America's Got Talent by invitation from the organizers, but they had to postpone their live performance to 2025.
At the end of 2023, at the invitation of the Russian delegation, Otyken performed in Dubai at the UN Climate Change Conference and became the only artists from around the world to take part in this event.
The ethnic music group “Otyken” consists of various representatives of the small peoples of Siberia: Chulyms, Kets, Selkups, Khakass and Dolgans. Their main style is a combination of different musical genres with the sound of ethnic instruments and throat singing. This kind of music is called World Music. The tracks are released in Chulym, Khakass, Dolgan and Russian. The group members play both authentic and rare instruments - jew's harp, ikili, khomys - as well as drums, bass guitar, keyboards and saxophone. Throat singing is often combined with recitative. The group films most of their videos outdoors: in the forest, on a frozen river, on mountain tops.

I myself have been digging for and have been listening to Foreign music from outside of our own Country, and I enjoy it so much! Some Artists/Songwriters sing in their own Native language, and others sing in English which is so awesome! I myself also stumbled upon this Siberian group and I love them very much already, the Otyken Band. Thank you.

We went to the city for some kind of seminar and there we met our producer who created a band out of them. They use ethnic beliefs and their traditional songs. These people follow shamanism. Not all of them, but it is quite common there. Scientists have found a common feature in their DNA and the DNA of Indians. You're right, they celebrate the spirit of the forest. They turn to him. The name of the group means "the place where a warrior puts his weapon."

These women are are indigenous Tuvans. The sound like they are singing to nature because (like native Americans) they believe everything has life. The trees, the rivers. The guy (I’m assuming he’s middle eastern) is doing Tuvan throat singing which can take a long time to master. (He also does dj stuff if you go to his page) I’m proud to be a quarter indigenous Tuvan ❤️

The instrument is a form of "Mouth-Berimbau". It's metallic, you make it vibrate and apply different pressure on lips to change sound, by squeezing it. Applied very nice here.

PS - Azyan, the main vocalist for Otyken, uses many traditional methods in her delivery. Some of what you describe as "speaking with power" are moments when she is articulating sounds of nature... the eagle for example. Good catch. Storm is out f this world when it comes to these vocalizations.
