When Ralph began to explain how the group was formed due to Bobby, there is was noticeable shift in their energy. I want to say "shame/regret/disappointment." Not sure, but to me it definitely felt like they both must have felt like and/or were treated like the outcasts in the group (tear). I think you can tell there issues going on with NE, but they "family is family" even during the shitty times. Love them all!

They are all still friends. They all performed together recently to induct The Spinners into the Hall of Fame and they are all doing a Las Vegas Residency next year.
@@glamourisbest yes, they're clearly still working together and professionally tight. That doesn't necessarily mean you're still personally close or friendly, though. Could just be protecting the brand and the bag.
I don't think it's fair to put it all on Bobby, sometimes people just grow apart. Also they spoke on the fact that Ralph and Johnny claimed the NE name without consulting or counting in the rest of the guys (even though I think now it's sorted out), so maybe that played a part in their relationship getting strained.
Either way, they're both grown men with their own lives to tend to, and they've both lost loved ones since this time, more notably Bobby with his wife and daughter, so I assume that also caused a rift in their friendship.
But also we never know, they're both pretty lowkey and private, so for all any of us know, they could still be like this to this very day, it's just that this time there are no cameras to broadcast it🤷♀️ ya'know?

But I don’t think they’re as close as they used to be. It seems like Ralph is close like that with Johnny now. You’re right about people growing apart, but I think it’s deeper than that when it comes to these two. Ralph specifically wasn’t talking to Bobby for years. I think it’s clear that this fallout put a permanent strain on their relationship. And it does suck because they really were super close and was like that for a long time. The trademark may have played a part but it definitely wasn’t the real issue. Johnny said so himself. But it’s clear that they’re cool now. And even if they’re really not as close as they used to be, I’m sure they still have lots of love for one another. That’s something that can’t be shaken
