Cloud Compare 11: Change Detection analysis
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 авг 2024
- This video shows how to conduct a change detection analysis between two point clouds using two techniques: (1) the Cloud-to-Cloud distance (C2CD) and (2) Multi-scale Model to Model Cloud Comparison (M3C2).This is a very useful method to study aspects such as land cover changes, urban development, erosion, flooding, sedimentation and deposition, deforestation, changes in tree canopy and more.

Very good presentation of the C2C analysis and M3C2 analysis! The M3C2 analysis is for more advanced users but you explained it very well, it helped me a lot with writing my paper thanks!
Thanks for going over M3C2 in quite high detail. This should really help my honours project in applying or attempting to apply M3C2 for coral growths.
All the best!
Thank you, very clear and helpful explanation!
hi love the explanation, will be using your method to complete my fyp. But I got a question, i know that there is no unit in cloud compare but heard you saying meters for the building, is this just an assumption or a method that you used to get it ? Thanks
Hi, could please say what you did for both scans to be in the same survey grid?
Hi Carlos, is there a way to download the Wolli Creek LAS files ?
Yes, from ELVIS Geoscience website
Hi Carlos, regarding comparing two or more Point clouds with cloud compare , i have a Lidar point cloud and i generated point cloud from Arial Photos through Agisoft and then i used Lastools to get DTM , so i want to compare the both Point clouds ,,, it means also Change Detection between the both !!
PoI is very big so my Prof told me to take some places like Street , parking spot , buildings ! any recommendation
Yes you can, just use a more limited area so you have less data > this will reduce computational time
can u please provide me link of these data it will really help in my research?
can i get a link to download this data set?
Can you use a rhino model??
Yes, you have to export the rhino model in a format that can be opened by CC
Is the CloudCompare software free??
Yes It is open-source
@@CarlosBartesaghiKoc great thank you. I was considering using it to compare point clouds from two different scanners.
