One of the better tutorials I've seen lately. Thank you. The tubes I wanted to curve didn't bend exactly like I wanted, but for now, it'll do. If I could Path better, I think that'd be my better option, but I'm still new to this.
Wow this was exactly what I needed. Works for complex shapes as well for those who might be in the same situation as me. Just need any curved/flat surface from which to unfold/refold. I got stuck having some issues with the initial sketch lines being over constrained, but once I got past that/realized it wasn't a dealbreaker for my model I breezed through the rest. Great tutorial!
👍 Outstanding...Thank you! 😍 I thought I could remember how to change the color of the work area, but I've forgotten. 😲 Can anyone help me remember? TiA! 😃
@@jrhackney already found it, thank you! I just had to do the second part. Draw the curved line, make the sheet, unbend. Combine sheet and my model, then bend again and split bodies!😀
Lifesaver, I didn't think that there would ever be a tutorial that helped me out with this!
Still helpful in 2024, this method helped me bend a solid body to the radius of a ring. Ty for the tutorial!

YOU JUST SAVED MY LIFE. THANK YOU FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The trick with the extra tangent line in order to fold/unfold... you are a genious

OMG, you do a better job answering questions than Autodesk does. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This is VERY clever! Thanks for the demonstration.
Thank you so much for this! I needed to put a slight curve in a belt buckle and this was exactly what I needed!
Very informative video! lots of nice tricks and tips! Thank you for sharing.
Good shortcut XD

great tutorial - would you be able to provide/share the sample file please
I can send the model to you via email. Send you request to jhackney1950@gmail.com and I will attach it is a reply.
what about if I have a plain body instead an already curved one?
Just reverse the process.

@@Ceseleonecan you recap the process? I have a flat object and want it to be little bit curved. Gotta say this tutorial is complicated 😂
