Besides your answer for the competition, what would you try and use the V-Ray Enmesh Modifier for? 😎

It's Z axis! I will use it for creating very nice rooftile and plaster decoration in my archviz project in zero time, and I think fabric will look much better with enmesh. Thanks for your tutorial on this!

It's the Z-axis! I think I could use it to create details, patterns, dispersions, etc.

It's the Z axis! I would use the enmesh modifier to create quick roof tiles. I'm glad it works with VRayMultiSubTex so we can create some variation.

    Thanks for sharing!
Finally someone who actually knows what he is doing is showing the new features.
As for the question, it is Z axis of course, and it would be cool to have an arrow with the gizmo that show this Up vector for visually more clear direction without the need rendering.

  • @creativexpert

it's, As usual, Z-axis but it does not work on the object of the Z-axis, it's worked on every face/polygon of the Z-axis.
Since I am a 3D artist in architectural visualization, this will help me a lot in creating bamboo objects and different types of lattices (fences) and will save my a lot of time. Apart from this, I am looking for more where I can use this.
Thank you so much for introducing this feature.

The Gizmo should be directed towards the Z axis clearly, to keep the normals of both objects ( the source and the target objects)
I can't wait to try this modifier in archViz works, like tiling, facade meshes, landscape elements, sculpture figures and much more depending on the needs then.

    • @ChaosTheory_net

Currently EnmeshMod is supported by V-Ray CPU, Chaos Cloud Rendering and V-Ray Standalone - I suspect they are working on GPU support for it in the future! - It would be a great addition for they GPU renderer if so!

Thank you for this new feature.
As to the answer to your question, Z-AXIS. This is cool for coating the object’s surface with a repetitive kind of 3d patterns. This might be useful for weaved kind of objects such as fabric, furniture finishes or any decorations. I think this can be useful as well on wall and floor geometric details or even into a kind of architectural/interior meshes and skins for close-ups. This is great, thank you for developing such modifier.
For a quick question, may I ask after using that modifier into an object, is it possible to add an additional modifier above the stack such as edit poly or edit mesh for any additional tweaks on the object?
