As a local living in Batam, I honestly don't know what to do here either... all I do is stay at home, go to school, or go do school work in a random cafe in Grand Batam lol
Holiday Inn used to be better, if not one of the better hotels on the island. However in the recent years before COVID happened, the hotel rooms starting to be dated, they did go through a few rounds of minor "room renovations". After COVID happened, me and my family figured that Holiday Inn was no longer worthwhile to revisit and risk a few nights there. Batam, pretty much for me and my family is lepak, eat seafood, shop a bit, massage a bit, then head back to SG...
We just stayed in Batam. We stayed at the Panbil Residence Apartment, it was great (with gym, swimming pool, restaurants), we just enjoyed not doing much ahah. Went to see Nongsa beach, went to Bintan for an afternoon and went to the Panbil Nature Reserve. We had a few swims where we stayed, and plenty of food. :)
hi Amanda, I saw today 10march 2024 in the evening at Waterway Point NTUC,OMG , i was so happy but too scared to ask you guys!!!!! Your english is magnificent and i love your videos so much !!!!!! so happy 😀!!!!
If I did go to Batam, I wouldn't spend time in shopping malls or massages, or stay in a western-chain hotel. I would stay in a good local hotel, visit some kampungs if I can get to one, and eat at a local food outlet - after checking if it looks decent (hygenic) enough. In short - I will try my best to avoid all places catering to tourists.
Maybe you could try I hotel Baloi (many Singaporean stay there) next time, it is next to BCS mall, A2 foodcourts, many massage shophouses and within walking distance to Grand Batam Mall. Holiday Inn is too far, nothing much nearby.
I stayed in Aston Hotel Batam & Residence. The hotel service is good and inclusive breakfast. Breakfast till 10am so you won't need to wake up early. 😂
U MUST STAY AT MONTIGO RESORTS NONGSA OR TURI BEACH!!!lot's of activitiy there, for the cafe u can go to Atlantis beach club or Next level cafe ,It wasss sooo good place!!!
Batam really very nice. I been to Nagoya Hill shopping centre, quite nice. 😊 I also wrote on a cruise where I have some karaoke singing party on the ride.
i'm able to use singapore registered card for gojek and grab..whether your account payment method linked to ur debit card or credit card the bank will auto have their bank rate conversion fees.. you probably just needs data whether indo simcard or autoroaming from sg side
I only stay in Montigo Resorts in Batam and I hardly leave the resort unless to have seafood outside. Hahahahaha there’s really nothing so I rather splurge on the accommodations.
Batam, really, nothing much. Except for the kuih lapis. That's all. But you should try to go to Barelang Bridge. The seaview is nice. And also please get a driver, they can recommend you cheap and nice food.
batam has barelang fishing pond.... which is a bigger and cheaper version of d'best pond in pasir ris if that suits ur fancy lol (prolly not tho but then again im a fisherman in america) 😂😂 was the food that bad? cuz u didnt make those faces with the eatbook 72 hour canned food challenge

My humour was broken cz I laughed at the Dior joke 😂
What was holding in price per night
Your skin is really good!!!
Selamat berlibur kakak Amanda semoga bahagia selalu🙏
I went to the same restaurant that u find the food salty. When in Batam always ask for less or no sweet and salt. Their seasoning is like free one
HAHA ya sadly I wasn’t very impressed with any of the food there… only Starbucks
@@AmandaFengYX Same with me when I eat in Singapore Tasteless
Saw you at Bendeemer road today.. gosh you're beautiful in person 😂😂
Its unfortunate that you pick the wrong hotel during your trip to Batam, it could have been a good experience if the hotel is better.
i enjoyed watching this vlog!
Walao Amanda! The best food is at the hawker centre! Alot of interesting things too over at pasar penuin
If the ferry wasnt expensive i would go batam. But for now i see no point..similar to jb..but the $8 bed movie is a killer. Would cost rm100++ in jb
If I go Batam, there's nothing except the Kueh Lapis that I would just get. Cos even Bengawan Solo Kueh Lapis the butter quality not there.
I only stay in Montigo Resorts in Batam and I hardly leave the resort unless to have seafood outside. Hahahahaha there’s really nothing so I rather splurge on the accommodations.

Your hotel area quite far from city center 😩😂 next time if u come batam again find hotel nagoya or baloi area so quite nearby with all stuff
hi any specific hotels to recommend?
Can try “i hotel baloi” near hawker center, local shopping malls, sushi tei, grand batam, and you must try “bak kut teh” at Astro Kopitiam next to it
turi beach resort and turi beach (if u guys like beach)
Haven't been to Batam like .....Since when.....Oh man..... Thanks for showing around and sharing.....
Hi! I have a question for you. When you arrive at Seaport Batam. Did they ask you About your vaccination status?
