      Many of the best ones aren't foolers, and sometimes the, hate to say this, less exciting ones do "win." I recall a young woman fooling the guys by syncing her Apple watch to her iPhone with over 20,000 songs on it and guessing the song Allison chose correctly. P&T guessed incorrectly she maybe was wearing microphones/had a stooge helping and thus she went home with the trophy because technology details weren't their go to.
      But there's more than one way to win. Piff walked home a bigger winner than most trophy holders. And I think this guy did too. He put on a great memorable show for a huge audience. When potential show booker's/potential gig hirers see a performance like this vs Apple Watch girl, it's no question the one who performs well, plays with the audience, and clearly loves the craft would win out

    I think I got this one -
    First trick - The Egg Shuffle by Allison - She shuffles the eggs and the dice comes after the shuffle, so there much be multiple dice that he can place on the table. At this point he knew the raw egg was number 1, so he picked a dice that would never roll a (1,6), opposite ends of dice (1,6) (2,5) (3,4). So depending on which number had the raw egg, he would have chosen the dice accordingly.
    The Next step - The dice would never roll a 1 or 6 (some sort of trick with the dice itself, these are in fact the opposite ends of the dice) so at the end, he will have 2 eggs left. He asks Alisson to pick one of the two eggs towards the end but he never told her if he would have broken the one she chooses. She picked number 2, so he broke the other one. I'm pretty sure if she picked the number 6, he would have broken the number 6 since she picked that. No matter what, it was his decision to break the number 6m leaving Number 1 as the RAW EGG.

      I think it's actually 3 different dice that are rigged dice. They don't have numbers missing, they just are just weighed to not roll on certain numbers. Opposite sides. 1 and 6 make 7. So the next die would be 3 and 4 and the next die would be 2 and 5. He doesn't need 6 dice if he stops it at the last two eggs. He has the dice directly next to each other under the cloth, looks for the marks, and chooses the one he needs.

    The entire trick is performed at 1:40. As he stands above the marked egg, he knows its position and from under the table extracts the die that does NOT have the number where the egg is marked and places it under the cloth behind the glass. Then he forces Alyson to select the one he knows isn't the raw egg

    • @Chad-Whiteman
      @Chad-Whiteman 4 года назад

      But we see the number 1 (raw egg) of the dice at 2:48. It is likely that the dice is simply loaded so that it almost never lands on the number but yes the trick happens with the performer identifying the raw egg and secretly choosing 1 out of 6 loaded dice corresponding to the number of the raw egg. Also, he didn't force Alyson at the end, he actually let her choose but he was always going to have the boiled pop above her, it is a well known trick mentioned by Penn in the video known as 'equivoque' in which the performer has 2 scenarios depending on which egg she chooses: if raw (egg 1) he would have had her keep hold of it while popping the boiled (egg 6), however had she chosen boiled (egg 6) the performer would used that egg as the one to be popped since 'it was her choice'. Two choices, one outcome.

    He has an accomplice watching how Alisson mixed the eggs, which as Penn said is really a free way/mix,. And the die is a magnetic die, Penn said the die isn't "eggxactly" what Scott said it was, and bottom of the glass where Alisson is rolling the die is the magnetic "floor" which forces the result of the die. Even though some rolls are repetitive and are cut off from the final edit, these rolls are used as a misdirection. This is my take on how the trick was done, but I hope I'm wrong!

    The solution for me: The dice is the trick, face 1 and 6 are opposite and no matter how you roll it will always give you one of the faces on that axis (2,4,5,3). In fact he stopped the roll and made her chose the eggs manually after 2 to 5 where out, forcing the choice of the first one in her hand.

    Yeah, it was all in the Die, He gave her the die that wouldn't hit 1 or 6 after remembering which egg was not cooked by just the egg's appearance. Then when she made the last choice he could either say "This is the egg you hold" Or "This is the egg I crack" The 1 and 6 are opposites, if the egg was in 2 it would be 2 and 5 never rolled.

    • @fedesms
      @fedesms 4 года назад +4

      Yep I think so. There's 3 dice and he uses the one which will never roll the number in which the raw egg is (nor the opposite in the dice like 1 and 6). It could be regularly weighted or "weighted" with magnets, which could probably be safer (the bottom of the glass is opaque and could have a magnet inside).
      Allison's last choice is not a real choice since he will use the one she picks or the remaining one, depending if she chooses right or not.

    @ 2:29, I saw "1" on the die, then, by 3:12, I have seen all the other numbers. So, unless there was a way to make 1 or 6 now show up... I did notice that with two eggs left, he would choose the hard boiled egg to crack open on her head, because when she requested that he uses the one egg that she was holding, he simply ignored her.

    • @1988ryan1
      @1988ryan1 4 года назад +1

      It's definitely a fake dice, he places it there when he goes to reveal the glass after she's re-ordered the eggs already. So i'm guessing the shape of the glass combined with the shape of the one side on the dice make it impossible to land on.
      And yeah the ending bit with two eggs is the old fake free choice trick, where he decides what reason she's picking the egg after she's picked it(smash/keep)

      Probably multiple dices, and he has a way to identify the boiled one by touching or looking. Notice how there's a cloth to cover the dice (or to cover his hand when he slipped the right dice under the cloth). The dice wasn't in the open at first for a reason. The other dices probably were behind the table.
