Thank you to all who watched and subscribed and thank you for all the kind words 🙂 For those calling out that it’s a different bill, they film something called “pick ups” which means they reshoot small moments after the fact. They reshot the moment Alyson signed the bill to get a closer look and used that shot - during the actual trick it was the same bill. Promise :) you can see the trick performed elsewhere on my channel. Thanks for all the love ❤️ - Rachel
That is without a doubt the greatest ending to a segment ever on this entire 9-year show. You owned their busting of you and it was magnificent. And sure, the trick was good too. 😉
The two college kids where they tried to fool Penn but not Teller. Penn: "I know with me and my partner, we do a lot of tricks together." (hints towards working with a partner) Penn: "I don't think we fooled you." Conner (Magician): "What do you think, Kenshin?" Kenshin (Magician): - raises from tarp with sign: "No" -
I love how they can reveal to the magicians that they know the trick without telling the audience how it is done so that the magicians can continue to perform those tricks.
Maybe not the most confounding trick in the show's history, but this does stand apart as the most confidently chill and natural performance I can recall seeing over the dozens I've watched -- with none of the nervous energy or awkward patter rhythms that sometimes understandably manifest under pressure. Really an achievement of which you and your father can both be proud. Well done.
u know I was about to say this trick completely fooled me but then i had a “rubber duck” moment and I think I got it haha. One of those situations where the trick is so impossible theres really only one way left. That bring said I agree, one of the cleanest performances and the energy was just so great. They’re clearly a master entertainer which is the true game here.
Your comedic timing and self-satisfied smugness is a difficult thing to pull off. Many try, but most cannot find the line between confronting the audience and welcoming them along. You did it, and it looked effortless. Your continuation of your character after the magic presentation was complete recalls Piff when he was on the show as a contestant. Never broke character, and basically snubbed P&T while they were critiquing him. You did the same. Perfect. I wouldn't doubt you've made a couple of new friends! Looking forward to seeing you collaborate with them.
Picking the lint off your top after the blindfold was in place - brilliant! Superb performance, P&T were absolutely delighted. As were all of us. Brava!!!
Anyone who can get Penn to laugh almost uncontrollably (a la Harvey Korman and Tim Conway) is magical, indeed. Loved the recent rerun of this appearance! 😎👍
I've been watching Fool Us since seson 1, and I can not remember a time where Penn laughed that hard before. The high pitched laughter was great. Amazing stage presence, really funny, and such a great performer. Awesome job, Rachel!
To quote Penn: "What really killed me... he's a real pro... he's prepared to be showbiz, he's prepared to be impressed, he's prepared to react. And he does my favorite thing you see in show business: which is when a guy who is *pretending* to do something, all of a sudden really does it." Really got that vibe from this laugh, she caught him off-guard and turned this familiar concept on its head :D Source of the quote: ruclips.net/video/NdxT3BL_Iik/видео.html
This was the best example of showing that it's much more than just knowing magic tricks. The showmanship and live interaction skills were top notch! And I love watching it again and again!
This is the best "acting" i've ever seen on the show! Most magicians repeat the words of their script, but you're actually putting personality and real reactions! And P&T's laughter is the proof, it's rare to see them heartily crack up like that, congrats
"the first thing you said when you came out is you always like to steal something and i dont think the audience noticed but right *here* on fool us... you were stealing something." "yes. yes i was. yeah ya got me" lmaooo the reason why people love p&t and why they are so timeless (you can watch their first tv special "go public" from 1985 and still love it and laugh) is because they put on a show, they have fun and they are so creative in their routines. i think we have here a new magician following in their footsteps. this is my favorite routine on fool us by FAR. its a classic trick done time and time again but yet so enjoyable to watch. i love everything you added to it. p&t love the bait and switched signed item gag and theyve done it a lot so its no wonder you didnt fool them but i love how you took it and you really really made them laugh like no one else has made them laugh.
You're the funniest magician they've had on the show!! Great personality. Top magic trick, too. LOVE the "I removed our signatures" gag - in the spirit of the whole thing, I'm stealing that one.
She's very funny. Naturally funny. Great stage presence and crowd skills. (Sometimes people forget that these things are needed to be a successful magician). She could probably hold her own on stage with Penn. Stunning beauty too.
I saw many FU performances but never seen Penn and Teller so happy. I'm sure they enjoy the show very much as I do. What a charming magician! Rachel, you make my day. Thank you.
I'm no magician, i didn't catch the "stealing" code, you fooled me AND you were charming in the way you just performed your routine as something flowing out of you "naturally". Forgive me if I don't express well what I mean, English is not my first language, but i definitely enjoyed your show. Bravo 👏👏👏!
What a great performance! Your stage presence is so smooth and your patter is SO memorable! I loved every moment of it! As Penn says, you fill up the room with your personality! Keep being an amazing performer and I hope you inspire many more female magicians!
yeah i am going with the majority here, you just absolutely killed it. i totally concur w Penn, even though you didn't fool them you won over everybody in the audience and probably just about everybody here in YT land. I would go to one of your shows in a heartbeat
@@vic6564 "big room and you filled it", "flip a switch", and "stole something" But I can't figure it out either 😅 Maybe I would've if I knew how the other tricks involving moving signed cards into seemingly closed containers worked.

Congratulations Rachel, that was a fun trick, a fun performance, and you're a fun magician, and I'm damn sure we'll be seeing so much more of you.

The most entertaining trick in the history of P&T? Nah. The most entertaining magician? Quite possibly. I laughed out loud at least twice during the performance, especially at the end. I’m a new Rachel Wax fan and a new subscriber. Great stuff!

@@andrelaszlo That's a great insight!

It doesn't have to be something impossible to figure out, it just has to be an amazing experience, and Rachel Wax delivered just that. Excellent!
The banter at the end was as good as the trick itself. Really great.
I feel like this is one of the most comfortable, non-awkward magicians on the entire show.
She definitely is a natural.
So talented and charming, she actually made me laugh at the end. I so appreciate it.
You definitely killed it. As Penn said, you totally won at the game you're meant to be playing on FU. A star is born.

Great performance - just watched it tonight ! Loved her personality and magic !
one of the best versions of impossible location I've seen in a long time. Wonderful.
I think I've only seen them laugh that hard once or twice! That was great
Solid magic but also great comedy instincts, natural af and just a personality tailor-made for this kind of thing, well done
So much fun, would love to see more of you in the future. Best of luck in the magic biz!
Magic is never about the fool its about the showmanship and you brought the house down with the performance! Killer trick and perfect executiom
Rachel you killed it at the end!! You had Penn in stitches, and me as well! LOL
I've seen more of these than is healthy and I can't recall the boys ever laughing like that. Good job!

Fantastic routine. Loved it!
