This was the season that made me a young Reds fan. I was 8 years old. I cried when the Braves swept them. 😂 I think hate this version of the Reds uniforms.
It's so weird hearing Al, McCarver, and Palmer as a team in this era. Baseball had changed so much in just the few years since their last year broadcasting together in 1989.
This was the sole year that the infamous Baseball Network (a revenue sharing joint venture between Major League Baseball, ABC, and NBC) had the broadcast network TV rights to the postseason. I absolutely detested this set-up. The first two rounds of the playoffs were staged at the same time. Because of this, viewers were only given a singular option when it came to watching a baseball game for any given night. So if you wanted to see the Dodgers/Reds playoff series for example, you were out of luck unless you lived in the "right" time zone. And even then, it was a challenge since in 1995, both of Ohio's teams (the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians) were in the playoffs.
thank you for posting this game. i was working that night and missed it.
Hopefully you weren’t spoiled before seeing this video!

Reds now hold the sports record for longest playoff win series drought.
1:51:19 Mark Lewis pinch hit grand Slam
2:22:15 Mike Jackson 3 run double
Mark Lewis, not Darren.
@@pronkb000 Don't know where I got that. Fixed.
you forgot about these two:
59:25 Ron Gant 2-run HR
1:15:14 Bret Boone solo HR

I was 6 when they last won a playoff series
My gosh this brings back memories...Piazza, Brantley, Butler, Davey Johnson as manager...has it really been 28 years ago? That is unreal....

Craziest thing to me is that Wells beat out that throw
(Right after the grand slam)

My first year as a dish owner came in VERY handy. Plus getting to hear these guys off the air was hilarious.
