- Official trailer for the 50th anniversary rerelease of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane, back in UK cinemas 14 December.
As a child, Jane Hudson (Bette Davis) was a pampered vaudeville star known to the world as Baby Jane while her younger sister, Blanche (Joan Crawford), led life in her considerable shadow. Decades pass and Blanche becomes a beautiful, talented movie idol and Jane a has been. When a car accident cripples Blanche, binding her to a wheelchair, Jane sees her opportunity to regain power and assumes the role of caretaker. Her newly gained dominance completes the transformation of the sugar-sweet child star into a nightmarish caricature of Baby Jane. As she does everything she can to make her sister's life a living hell, including feeding Blanche a dead rat and brutally beating her when she tries to phone for help, Jane plots a comeback, aided by shifty musical director Edwin Flagg (Victor Buono). Aldrich's highly charged melodrama is a modern gothic masterpiece.
Very disturbing movie
But strangely addictive
Even after watching this movie
You can't help still thinking about it
One of the best movies shot in only 3 weeks!
one of the best classic movies that Betty Davis ever made. her and Joan Crawford I watched it.100,000,000.300,000,000.00.TIMES.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊😊😊😊😂😊😊😊😊😊
That movie fucking tricked me. I thought it was going to be campy fun but my god! It was fucking disturbing! I felt like I needed a shower after watching it.
Love it. Just needs the "Goodbye, Doc tor" line from Baby Jane to make it perfect and a best of Bette Davis clips of this classic brilliant film.
honestly the best movie of my teenage years....
Wow can't wait to watch this, looks nuts.
It's a good classic movie
Anyone of you that has not seen "The Nanny" with Bette Davis, either, should! She is just as devious in that one as this.
93Vet do you mean Bette Midler? Because Bette Davis died in 1989.
+TSUsolrac2012 The Nanny from 1965.
I love her in that!
This was a really good Gothic film.
Once somebody stole a teacher's book bag, defecated into it, and set it back outside her classroom door when there was nobody around. It turned out that a couple of varsity football players had done it and told their friends and teammates. Nothing happened---no suspensions, nothing. This was back in the late seventies. The incident reminded me of the 'dead rat scene' somehow.
Beyond words!
One of my personal favorites!
Saw it tonight, great movie!
Classic horror film
If you love this film as much as I do please checkout "Feud: Bette and Joan" mini series. Susan Sarandon does a spot on Bette Davis and Jessica Lang is superb as Joan Crawford. Excellent series!
I’m watching it now!!
bueniisimo!!!!
This was one of my favourite movies when I was about 8 years old...creepy lol
ash3227 liking this at 8 is creepy.
@@mytravls how?
but you are blanche in that chair you are!! what a film this.
I hope to see this on Fathom Events this June (depending on the pandemic).
Pay attention to the check dated Aug 09, 1962. The family joke is that Blanche is "shocked" Jane spent so much on a birthday present (I was born the next day).
And don't forget "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte" which left me terrified for years.
Yes and the nanny don't forget that one..BW horror film.
@@markcameron3601 Yep, the psychotic little boy that killed his baby sister and decades later people still get it wrong that the Nanny wasn't the bad guy in that thriller.
Bette merecia o Oscar por esse filme.
Did anyone ever notice this Blooper? When Edwin's mother phones Jane to make an appointment, Jane never gives her address. It's also not listed in the ad. How did he know where to go?
love it thank u very much
It is addictive
I had a sister like that
Feud brought you here right ?

Actually no. I learned about this movie in a film history class I took as an elective in my freshman year of college several years ago, lulz. Was worth it.
Slow Moe speaking of showers after the success of Psycho other Movies tried to go in that direction but they can't touch Psycho 1960.
No. Culture.

Mr. Susan Yes me
Bette still has great legs even in Baby Jane!

Creepy but hilarious I would imagine there would be a remake of the movie starring Lindsey Lohan and Hillary duff since the rivalry was the greatest feud ever
Very disturbing and enthralling. So fucking good
