    We went with a 50' wedge. Can get 4 on comfortably. 5 with the extensions. That was the best route for us. And yes. A 50' trailer and a crew cab dually is fun getting into places. But we make it work.

    I go to mountainridge in PA and there is a guy there with that setup and tows an RV. I think his truck might be a 450 though. Is a great option if you don't want a toy hauler which I considered because the toy hauler does take away from a lot of amenities inside the 5th wheel. give and take

Ive always been a GMC driver but RAM has the most comfortable and workable truck in my opinion, my dad always told me if you a truck for work, buy a ford if you want a truck to drive to work buy a GM , if you want to do both buy a Dodge. He always had GM trucks and we lived on a farm but we used tractors not trucks to pull trailers on the farm.😂

That’s what i have on my long traveled pro and i can definitely say i believe i would’ve ripped the tabs off by now if i didn’t have it. (And if the budget allows, the dirty t’s fab complete front subframe is absolute beef too, but expensive)

I also did a mbrp oval series slip on exhaust on mine which deletes the cat in the muffler but still retains the stock exhaust sound but gets rid of alot of the heat build in the turbo

    Maybe the dually makes a big difference, but when I tried a similar set up with my F350 SRW(single rear wheel) it felt super bad and unstable particularly when on rough roads or during high winds. Also be mindful of your height and places like gas stations and overpasses. Would love to have you guys make a video trying it on a SRW as well and share your thoughts. We towed it through West Virginia mountains this weekend and it was hardly noticeable. I’m actually pretty impressed so far. 65-70mph it doesn’t fine. A few times we noticed it there when we had to make a few quick lane changes but nothing scary or sketchy. First trip with it was great. We will see how it goes from there.

      could you just put the cross piece that the rear tire sits on a inch or so higher so that the rear part of tire is above the ramp so it will slide out? or is that ment to prevent roll back and keep pressure off the park gear. looks like a awesome set up. are u doing bags or overloads? i really like the timbren overloads no maintenance or air to deal with. @@TheCanAmCrew

      @@TheCanAmCrew thats not how it works. It goes by truck gvwr + trailer gvwr. Say the open trailer gvwr is 16k the trucks can't be over 10k. Final weight means nothing. If you have a truck that's 12k and trailer thats 16k thats 28k and you need a cdl even if the truck and trailer only weigh 20k loaded.

    • @x3dominator28
      @x3dominator28 5 месяцев назад

      Yeah… my F350 had a 14000 GVWR so when I custom ordered my 34’ I had it tagged at 11995 to keep me under even though it has 7000 lbs axles.

    • @motofarmmx2430
      @motofarmmx2430 5 месяцев назад

      @@x3dominator28 exactly. I'm not sure on his open trailer but if memory is correct it'll be rated pretty high and he's going to be over. Also a big thing with a bumper pull and that bed rack is rear axle weight. Again not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if he's over his rear axle rating loaded down. Two big things that need to be checked before getting fined and impounded.
