Denise. Thank you so very much for helping to reduce the learning curve with re-selling our wigs… and all of the other topics you educate us on. I have learned so very much from you, over the past few years, and I am so very grateful for your voice of experience and the tons of research that you obviously do!
Thx for the scoops, Denise. I'm getting to that point where wigs are kinda taking over. 😲 And the longer one wears wigs, you find what you really like in length, style, etc.
I’ve been your silent watching from the background wig sister for a few years…. Your an incredible resource I appreciate you always taking the time to educate us sisters out here. This is valuable information. Thank you💖
Oh sweet lady! I didn’t know you mentioned me and Joyce! Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️ Phenomenal advice! I know this will be MOsT beneficial to all your subscribers! ❤️❤️❤️
Very helpful video. I do have quite a few wigs that I bought and just not for me. They're just sitting in their boxes wanting to be worn and seen. Would love to not only recoup some money but have the wig go to someone who loves it. One is Jon Renau Skylar with the smart lace in Malibu Blonde...worn once for a couple of hours. Just not good on me.
Thanks Denise, this video was extremely helpful. As I watch your videos a few questions will be running through my head and it amazes me how you never fail to address these questions in your videos. Your thoughtful consideration of any perceived questions people may have is greatly appreciated!
That’s a cute wig, love the color! LoL, I don’t have enough to sell. If you sell it, look me up, my bio hair color. I’ve never found anything decent on a lot of resell sites.
Great info and I totally agree with Melinda. Tons to sell but don't want to deal with it. I've actually tried to find information on how to donate to a local cancer group and can't seem to find any info on it. Just keep getting links to other sites with no real help. Frustrating, cause I'd much rather give it to someone who is in need.
BeckyS..I hope you see this. I have a little info on donating to cancer organizations. Some time ago I wanted to do this and was told that the piece had to be brand new, never worn. Part of this was because the recipient might contract something from a used wig. That was only what I was told.
Oh dear…I just wrote a long email asking for some advice and it disappeared!! My issue is that I was on a FB site asking how to make a wig fit better when a fellow member asked how much I wanted for it and I can’t figure it out. The wig is a very popular style and color and even though I purchased it several years ago from a reputable online retailer, I have only tried it on and it still has its tags, box etc so essentially new. How do I figure out a fair price that also would give me the most money…that’s important because of my current situation. Have you made a video yet about how to deal with shipping? Also is PayPal goods and services still your preferred payment method? I pray you see this since I know this video is over a year ago. Thank you again for all you do for this community. You are truly inspiring 🙏
You look very cute in that wig. I do have to say that some of those links to those Facebook groups don’t work anymore. I tried a few of them. So you might want to update your page.
I also loved this video, Denise but like a couple of other gals, I would rather donate. Can you please put out a blog (or perhaps you have?) about how/where to donate wigs? I have had a very difficult time finding places.
Hi, Lynn.... unfortunately there aren't a lot of places that accept donations and I hear this A LOT! Sometimes local cancer hospitals will take them. It does seem that there are less and less of them doing this but it would be worth checking into that. I did list the 2 Facebook groups that do donations in the description of this video and I know both of the women who run them personally and they are FANTASTIC and very honest. I hope to start a program someday through my website where donations can be provided to those in need... but I'm not there yet. HUGS and I hope you can find something that works for you!
I use USPS and actually I just print my labels online through Paypal.... if someone pays via Goods and Services on Paypal then you can print a shipping label right from their payment and their address will already be in there... if they don't then you can go directly to the Paypal Ship page and print a label... and from there you will see how much it is. The shipping rate varies depending on the weight and size of the box and where you are sending it unless you are sending Priority Mail in a Priority envelope... you know what, let me make a video on this and I'll share it on my channel.
Thank you Denise. You presented a lot of good information! Do you know a company that will sell my wigs on consignment? I have so much going on in my world right now that I would love to just let someone else do it for me IF such a company exists. Thanks
Hi! Yes, Silk or Lace does that. silkorlace.com/pages/sell-your-lightly-worn-wigs-and-hair-pieces?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgdayBhBQEiwAXhMxtojpPLAa4I5lfic9Av5rVXVsBW-PRyLfmqxdPgEUh25pzUZzVbWzRBoC5nAQAvD_BwE
Hi! The link to your blog post isn’t working. I tried to go to it on your blog but that link is also broken. I’d love the link for your fav places to buy used wigs! No rush. I appreciate all your info! New here 😊
Hi! I actually got this from a wig sister on the secondary market, but you can get it at any online retailer, such as www.namebrandwigs.com (just look for Raquel Welch Real Deal).
Hi Denise, I've been watching your videos for quite a whiile and really enjoy them. I do have a question though. I belong to the Wig Studio I Wig and Topper Group and tried to put in a comment about selling a wig with no response...not sure if I did it right. Can you help?
What's your question? Where to sell? I wrote a blog post about trustworthy places to purchase wigs, there is a secondary market section toward the bottom and those are also great places to sell wags. heywigsister.com/resources/f/trustworthy-websites-to-purchase-wigs-from
It depends on how much you have worn it. I would not wash it if it were new. If only worn a few times I would give the person the option but would not automatically wash it. I try to keep in mind that some people are sensitive to fragrance or have allergies to certain products and so it would be nice to give them the option of washing at themselves with products that they prefer. Each time a wig is washed it puts wear and tear on it, so it would be a shame to wash a wig more than needed.
As always, very useful information, Denise. I really like the two wigs I see behind you. What's their name, color and brand? Thank you for everything you do! Blessings to you and yours!
I have a serious issue many of these groups band me for now reason they apparently know each other and this one crazy spread this false info so now I cannot participate in some of this big wig groups. Any tips please
This is Raquel Welch Straight up with a Twist in Shaded Biscuit, but is has been shorted by about 1.5 inches so it is shorter and doesn't look quite as layered.

Gosh! FINALLY!!! Someone professional!
As usual, you seem to cover all the bases in a polished and professional way. Great advice.
Thank you Denise for your helpful videos. You are so generous with all this information.
I'm so glad it was helpful!

I needed this SO much!!! I have about 20 ready to go! 😂
oooh, good luck! I'm sure there are some wig sisters who would be THRILLED to get a piece for a great deal!!
Thanks! I’m getting ready to sell a slew of wigs! Very helpful!

I love this. I'm into this as well. Nice meeting you from Abuja-Nigeria ❤

Thank you so much! What a lovely thing to say! 😙
Thank you for all your tips. I need to sell two that I don't wear. I'm going to wash and style and try to present them as perfectly as I can!
I was shocked at the cost of returning a wig to TWC in Lenexa Kansas! On a $322 wig it was $98! Hard lesson learned.
That’s a cute wig, love the color! LoL, I don’t have enough to sell. If you sell it, look me up, my bio hair color. I’ve never found anything decent on a lot of resell sites.
Great Advice! Thank you Dear 😙❤
Great info Denise! I will definitely use the tip about listing Free Shipping. I can see where that will be very useful.

Thanks for the great info. I have SO MANY wigs I need to sell. All the wigs I buy are too big for me, and I’m so over it… Getting a Follea wig soon 💕
How exciting! I hope you love it!!
Great information, Denise!
Thank you for this video!!!!!

I love this wig on you Denise. I love you in brunettes, but this color on you stopped me in my tracks!!
Thank you so much! I honestly think I like this color better than most brunettes which is a HUGE departure for me!
Love your posts, Denise. How do I ship a wig in the US, by USPS, UPS, or FedEx? How do I know the cost?
I use USPS and actually I just print my labels online through Paypal.... if someone pays via Goods and Services on Paypal then you can print a shipping label right from their payment and their address will already be in there... if they don't then you can go directly to the Paypal Ship page and print a label... and from there you will see how much it is. I have several wigs I don’t wear. I haven’t sold them because I haven’t wanted to go through the hassle. I just don’t trust people.
I don't blame you. Every time I sell a wig I hold my breath until it arrives and the person is happy. You just never know these days....
Thank you Denise. You presented a lot of good information! Do you know a company that will sell my wigs on consignment? I have so much going on in my world right now that I would love to just let someone else do it for me IF such a company exists. Thanks

Hi Denise, did you mention washing the wig before selling? What do you recommend?
It depends on how much you have worn it. I would not wash it if it were new. If only worn a few times I would give the person the option but would not automatically wash it. I try to keep in mind that some people are sensitive to fragrance or have allergies to certain products and so it would be nice to give them the option of washing at themselves with products that they prefer. Thank you! The ones behind me are all human hair wigs from private sellers, they are not major name brands, one of a kinds.
I have a serious issue many of these groups band me for now reason they apparently know each other and this one crazy spread this false info so now I cannot participate in some of this big wig groups. Any tips please

This is a modified Raquel Welch Straight Up with a Twist in Shaded biscuit. It was trimmed up a little bit.

This is Raquel Welch Straight up with a Twist in Shaded Biscuit, but is has been shorted by about 1.5 inches so it is shorter and doesn't look quite as layered.
