The great thing about Schiff is while I don't absolutely love everything he is doing there is always so much to learn from his playing. The character in the Aria is so spot on! It really sounds like an Aria with Ensemble accompaniment and the ornaments are butter.
Imagine receiving this piece of music as a going away present. I wonder if Johann's brother really understood how much of a gift this really was. And this music truly shows that even in his early years, Bach had a truly impressive command of melody, harmony, and counterpoint.
@@そら-y9h1ePlays in the Baroque Style…similar to how he played the Allemande in the French Suite in G BWV 816 quickly, when J S Bach cousin Walter in the Musical Lexicon composed…in a grave and serious manner and or Mattheson delighting order and calm, the Courante as Stately described by Mattheson, Quantz, and Rousseau and grave and majestic, while it seems Sir Andras plays most Courantes as the Italian Corrente Presto and Corrente Prestissimo. And although the Silbermann Pianos had a hand stop to lift the dampers, in imitation of the Pantalon, without a pedal or knee lever, the Baroque piano never used a sustain pedal which Sir Andras frequently uses. So how is this in the “Baroque style”?
I think this piece is best played in a moderato not allegretto, Your recording when you were young is more preffered by me Schiff, However I will also make my own version too one day.
The last part is rhythmic and jumping. Fantastic!

It's just that Schiff plays Bach in the style of Baroque.

Very exciting can’t wait to hear it.
You do that. Lol
My score is written in adagio
I don’t believe the channel is administered by Schiff
The point is Lament but not tragic.
In spite of the fact that I always like A.Schiff's renditions ( and masterclasses), I find the 1rst movement a bit too fast.
☺️
Where was this recorded? It kinda looks like my house.
I think you should have a talk with whoever has your spare key ;)
By the way, you must live in a very nice house! I envy you!
I hope you realize I was only kidding. Nobody lives in a house like that any more.@@wingcap1448
i’m envious if this is what ur house looks like
@@adda1495 I was only kidding. I am not evolved from nobility. I came from poor Jews in the Bronx.
It was recorded in Weimar (Germany). It is the Rokokosaal of Anna-Amalia-Bibliothek, 300 m from where I live.
Where does he play?
Er spielt in Deutschland Weimar. In die Bibliothek Herzogin Anna Amalia
