3:42 That guy in the audience was my honest reaction.
He never ceases to amaze… saw him in person in San Francisco play ALL of the Italian and English Suites, no pedal, not one mistake and he’s Bach himself, quite a force of the Universe, one of a kind
3:41 guy in the background is flabbergasted 😵
Phenomenal. Both Bach and Schiff.
Perfect Bach interpretation.Bach must be smiling.
that capriccio was insane
I was used to listen only Glenn Gould for Bach reference.
But, after hearing Schiff's lecture and recording, I'm very sure to listen to him every time I need Bach for listening or study from now on.
If Gould displayed a genius performance, complexity and intelligence at highest point, Schiff displayed a humble beautiful work of art that all of us can enjoyed to the most (Not to neglect his superb technique and crystal like sound. Yes! For Schiff sound is everything!)
Schiff's articulations are so inconsistent and he is alwayst twisting the rhythm just to get that jumpy sound which destroys all balance
if you like schiff you will love gregory sokolov, true genius
@@anonymousl5150Who can hear something of inconsistent in Andras Schiff's interpretation ?
Your opinion is very special and uncommon.
@@felixsinniger280 Because I am not deaf. He lacks the dynamics and articulation consistency of the greatest performers. Falls in love with certain types of articulations which he'll employ at the cost of bad rubato.
@@anonymousl5150At the Bachfest, which takes place every year in LEIPZIG, where Bach lived and died, Andras Schiff is considered the most important pianist on J.S. Bach.
Maybe you know more.
Schiff is a master, beautiful interpretation.
Bravo !
Emozionante, interpretazione fantastica. "Grandras" Schiff!
When Andras Schiff plays, the music of Bach comes alive as never before. Thanks !
Schiff gives his Bach such personality without devolving into sentiment or mechanical enumeration🤩
My mom's favourite 😍🥰 reminds me of her each time
A piece of astounding depth and beauty.
Andreas Shiff playes the best Bach.
The organized mathatical and passion is a noteworthy tribute.
Thank you for keeping art aluve!
Qué Bach!!! !Que piano!!!! Que pianista fantastico e' Andras Schiff!!!! Obrigada!!!
It seems to me I am listening Bach playing the piano it the future, like he is alive now. Amaizing playing! Thanks. Have this man got free time?!))) I think all Day and Night long he is playing!

Magnifique marche harmonique
Woooooooow!!!!!!
where do you find these videos? Is there a lecture recital of the Bach Keyboard Partitas?
Pierre Boulez Saal Online has an archive of Schiff playing here. www.boulezsaal.de/en/online/content?query=schiff
@@SandWolf_ Thank you greatly. I cherish your channel.
You can find more at the channel of the Netherlands Bach Society, not Andras playing unfortunately, but some passionated artists that love Bach.
🌹🌹
Fine tasteful interpretation . I hate the over-dramatic way most people play the opening with its dotted rhythms and diminished 7ths.
Purity
The sound seems to have some sort of distortion, a wobble/flutter to it.
I had to come here as others were putting up their own participation RUclips videos.
Ngyon szep volt Bandika. Sajnos a zongora nem tudja kifelyezni Bachot.
I think, the piano is one of the best instruments to perform the compositions of Bach because it very clear and has a great volume to reach a great public.
Why do the best pianists use the piano to perform the music of Johann Sebastian Bach ?
AndrEas

Why is the Sarabande copyrighted?
Sarabande is not copyrighted per se (Bach is long dead!) but it's the record of András Schiff playing Sarabande.
So why isn’t the whole thing copyright?
David Frey version is my favorite interpretation 🙏🏻….but this is not bad either
Not bad??? It is just fascinating!
..." but this is not bad either"
Your arrogance is rather bad !
My favourite version is Martha Argerich's.
Her's is great but listen to Gould's.
@@ELISPOTTS-xc6qxGOULD??? monkeys dance in circus he did with 2d partita!!!
She's not what she's used to be. She makes mistakes. Too numerous for my liking.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. She is like Yehudi Menuhin - once you listen to her version, everything else is not quite right. I wish I could listen to Daniil Trifon9v playing this piece...
Gould!!!!!
Capriccio "a little drunk"
La Sinfonia beaucoup tro sautillante et primesautière. La Courante pas assez coulante. Etc.
Si vous le dites, ce sera la verite pour tout le monde.
Etc. ?
Die Partita ist HIER UNVOLLSTÄNDIG, es FEHLT ETWA 3'
Sorry, but this is mediocre playing .
Your arrogance is perfect !
