281: Random - My '1:6' JXK North American Gray Wolf & Mr Z Steppe Wolf

I love wolves. That is to say, I think they are some of the most beautiful and soulful animals there are, even though I actually know very little about them. Like most people who love wolves, I have some models, and in this video I share you two that belong in a class of their own.
We have the JXK North American Gray Wolf and the Mr Z Steppe Wolf. Both are masterful sculpts with good paint apps to match.

Since I was a kid, I never wanted to have vehicles or robots as toys. I always wanted to have animal figures, and I still do have some pretty little ones. These figures remind me of them. Even though I don't have toys or figures that look this accurate, I'm in love with these. I would love to see more of these non-dinosaur figures you have. I'm sure you have a nice collection. Thank you Rajitha! Believe it or not there are so many I would love to share on the channel but so little time! I will try though, whenever PNSO and HLG take a break. CNY is giving me a bit of a breather I must say! I have even neglected dragons over the last year!

Very pretty models! I have a howling wolf too though I don't remember the company that made it.
Also, if you want to be the most nit-picky person on the planet, the eyes on the Steppe wolf are actually a little bit oversized :P
Wolves have small eyes, large irises, thick limbal rings and small scleras, even when a wolf is looking upwards like the model does it's unlikely you'll actually see the sclera, especially if it's pigmented. (The limbal ring is actually sometimes mistaken for the sclera because it's so thick and the sclera so small.)
The JXK model's eyes are more proportional and a bit less cartoony but the scleras are still way too big :P
Or in short, they humanized the eyes on both models :P

Those are beautiful models! I have JXK Striped hyena. I do have some wolf figures too.

Wow! I didn't that I would meet someone who has one of these models here! 😁 I have been really quite impressed with them generally. Sadly the way the stripes on the tiger were rendered left much to be desired 😥
