My dad recently passed away, and something he always wanted to do with me is play dnd. I paint a lot and he always wanted me to make his minis (and when i did he cherished them even though they weren’t the best). The way you talk reminds me of him, and makes me want to pursue this hobby as an outlet for my grief. Sorry for trauma dumping on you but hey, you are doing great stuff here my guy, much love
My dad isnt doing the best with his health. As a kid, he had always wanted me to get into building and painting models but I had no interest. As an adult, I became interested in warhammer 40k and started building and painting models. My dad thought it looked so cool and he was excited to do this with me. Unfortunately, his medical issues ended up affecting his dexterity significantly, so he had to stop shortly after we finally started. He was devastated (and secretly, so was I) but I tried to stay positive and get bigger models that may be easier for him to build. It was to no avail. I almost quit but he wanted me to continue. Now he will sit with me while I paint and we get to hang out. It's bittersweet because this hobby has brought me closer to my dad than ever but it reminds both of us of the reality of his situation. We try to keep it together but ...sometimes that's really hard. Even so, it's been great (it's actually the greatest) hanging out with him. Sorry for the long comment but your story just hit me in a way. I hope you are doing well
Hey man sorry to hear of your loss. It’s nice that ye dad wanted to spend some quality time with you and share in his interests and that’s the most important thing, I personally still don’t get a lot of quality time with my dad and he didn’t have much interest when I was a kid (army man so very difficult) not going to go on, my point is that cherish the fact that your dad wanted to do stuff with you. As for pursuing the same interest, go for it man......and if you have kids get them involved. Don’t see it as an outlet of grief, see it as a celebration of what your dad loved, how he shared it with you and how you can share stories of your dad with ye kids (if you have them) anyway, hope you deal with it in your own way the best you can but a hobby is good for your mental health no matter what. Stay strong and ask for help if you need it......remember, like the mighty oak, if you don’t bend with the breeze you’ll break 👊🏻
You cannot live for your parents. My son did not take up my gaming hobbies. And that is ok. We have other things we do together. The fact you took it up and ran with it is awesome. Cherish all your memories of your father. If you love the hobby continue with it. If not put it up and Cherish what it brought you while pursuing your interest.
I have just gotten into this hobbie although I am a life long D&D fan and played as a kid. Your videos have inspired me to build tiles and paint minis. I'm having a blast and as a 14 yr combat veteran I have found that this is a great way for me to relax and fight off depression and PTSD. thank you for sharing your awesome talent with all of us gamers. Also because of you I think I will join the crafters guild.
Damn you, I lost the use of one eye, I gave up on painting. Now I'm gonna figure out how paint with only one good eye and a magnifying glass. I had given up, but I'm gonna dive in. Ty for having this entire series as a single video. I love what you've done.
@@amberblyledge7859 Wound up having cataract surgery in both eyes and finally able to see again to paint. Having to relearn to paint all over again.. Sadly it's not like riding a bike as they say.
@skunkmaid But, you can do it now! My godmother had cataract surgery and is trying to return to cross stitch. It's a tough journey but it is worth it! Good luck!
Based on another video of Wylocks, a zenithal highlight and speedpaints might be the way to go for anyone starting out or Bravely returning to the quest of painting
I'll probaaly never build this tomb in full, but the amount of information and tips in this video is simply incredible. I'm just starting my way building miniatures, and your channel is pure gold. Subscribed! Thank you for the content!
Shout out to you for doing this. My friend @crazyhermitDM is running ToH at the Midwest Fest in Kansas City this year and he got a 3d Printing Studio sponsor him. They are printing out the entire dungeon for him and we're starting to paint everything tonight. We are going to be referencing this video so much in the coming days/weeks to get ready. Thanks for all your hard work, you're an inspiration to a lot of people!
Yeah. This is what I like right here. And besides, 3 hours of crafting is just the right amount in a day. I can't wait for my next crafting day, this is absolutely going to be playing. Thanks a ton Wyloch. You selfless, thoughtful Legend.
This was one of the greatest fan-builds I've ever seen. There is so much work because of so much love. Tremendous my brother. You are a God-level mortal
Truely epic. Got me back into RPGing after 30 years off (a bit). Dropped a few c-bills on DCC books, played one game on-line....hey its a start again. :)

Hi Bill! Linking all of these Tomb of Horrors videos together into a single, long production was a superb idea. From the awesome music and your narration style, this is even fun to just listen to as others have identified. It has that calming effect that good game crafting can have at times. Watching it however, is even better and I always pick up ideas from you. In spite of your outstanding talent and creativity, I am nonetheless still awed by you completely building this very famous/infamous dungeon completely. Between you and DMScotty, you both got me started on game crafting in the first place and I'll forever be thankful for that. So many of your build ideas have made it into my DM 'stuff' over the last few years. Thanks so much for making this one!

Thanks for submitting this convenient collection, Wyloch! I'm prepping to run the Tomb in 2nd ed. AD&D and this has been an excellent review while working at my painting desk 😉
One thing i haven't heard but a few youtubers talk about is that . tomb of horrors was never meant to be played as a one-shot . it is the end to a long drawn-out campaign . i have found that the people that hate on the tomb . played it as a one-shot . that means no investment in their character , no epic loot horde from the previous dungeons and no learning from the previous dungeons . one critic of the tomb of horrors . read that there are no saves for the pits . but if you go back to the beginning modules of the campaign . there are save charts and such that got cut as time went on to save space on repetition . soooo if one really wants to enjoy the tomb of horrors the way its meant to be played . i suggest starting from the beginning and play all the way through as it was meant to be played so that when your beloved overlooted character gets crushed before you even find the true entrance . it really means something and your feel it deep in your soul . love the build . kudos
I, like you, like to listen to something while I’m doing something. I was working on my 3D printer and your video is recommended. I have never played DnD, nor do I do anything like this. However I watched a majority of your video. Pretty entertaining and educational. Subbed.
This is my favorite work from you so far (i know its a compilation… “but, whatever”😄) Dont know why but it was much more easily absorbed seeing it all together. Watched with a grin the whole time. Roughly halfway through when you said “for those sending ideas for the next module to do… STOP i’m not doing another one” i was kinda bummed but understood. Then at the end of the vid…. all smiles man. Cant wait. Can’t give this enough thumbs up. Massive effort, massive appreciation for it here!
Same here, love having something to listen to when you are doing some crafting. Thanks for the upload, will definitely give it a full listen at some point.
Started this video, thinking I would just jump to the end of each section to see the finished project.... Ended up getting sucked into it and watched it the whole way through. Absolutely fantastic and f^cking amazing. Just.... WOW!💯💯💯
I love the look of this. Way beyond anything I'd make, but then again I have been moving away from playing on a completed dungeon. Just do minds eye until combat happens in a room. (I still draw up the whole maps for playing on Roll20, partly for fun, partly to have the battle maps ready)

Just what I needed to help me get though my crafting project, inspiration and background noise.
That is incredible, i was not aware that it could be so interesting.
Wonderfully relaxing and inspiring at the same time. Thank you for the super cut.
Love this! I too need something playing in the background. Thank you for this epic cut.
You're a daggum hero. A HERO.
Same here, love having something to listen to when you are doing some crafting. Thanks for the upload, will definitely give it a full listen at some point.
I loved these episodes when u launched them. I love them even more in this format!
This is awesome. I have been looking for additional hobbies and past times. I believe I have found one. Thanks so much.
This is something we didn’t need but love to have thanks wyloch!
Correction: This is something we didnt know we needed but, boy now that we have it ... we love it :)
Thank you for making this. You're a scholar and a gentleman!
Started this video, thinking I would just jump to the end of each section to see the finished project.... Ended up getting sucked into it and watched it the whole way through. Absolutely fantastic and f^cking amazing. Just.... WOW!💯💯💯
It’s not the greatest module for all the praise that it gets. Great effort for map and presentation.
What a great project. Thanx for sharing. fantastic work.
I love the look of this.
Way beyond anything I'd make, but then again I have been moving away from playing on a completed dungeon. Just do minds eye until combat happens in a room. (I still draw up the whole maps for playing on Roll20, partly for fun, partly to have the battle maps ready)
that eyebrow wraggle at 54 mins in is worth a like and a subscribe. Nice work Wyloch!
I absolutely adore the 80's pastel discotheque "failure". That's obviously where DJ, MC Lich-Me-There, spins her vinyls.
