Well I thought the same thing but not because I underestimate the strengths of their bites but because I don’t think wolves would clamp down on something so unfamiliar and that’s already pretty hard and durable.
Yes, they are. One thing I noticed about this wolf is how youthful and yet gigantic it looks and, at the same time, is approachable enough to give it treats and pet it very cautiously. Historians assume that dogs evolved genetically from the most timid wolves who broke from the pack and preferred to head out towards the humans households out of curiousity in the past. This is one young example similar to some RUclips video footages of human/wolf and house hold pets just having fun together with a lone timid wolf. History repeating itself. Biologists say that the different varieties in dogs came from lone wolves how were less aggressive. Wolves in general are unpredictable.🙏🏼🙏🏼
Actually the bigger they get the darker the fur gets with age..and this one doesn’t even have a mane yet so I assume he’s going into his teen years, they do grow fast
I suggest checking out a Wolf sanctuary if you haven't already. Fascinating although you never feel completely safe around a 165 pound wolf but its still worth it
I was doing some work for a family of all women that had three wolf's and was absolutely amazed at how big they were and the size and shape of their canines. The women never had to worry about break-ins because those big guys and a girl were on point.
@@SKITEMAN Possibly. Possibly not. Wolves (many animals actually) don’t really recognize Humans as normal animals because we don’t smell like nature so they don’t know how to act. Gorgeous creature, As intelligent as they are wolves haven't learned how door handles work yet, so they were quite safe. Be grateful to have that moment in the presence of such a magnificent creature. That point where the wolf looks through the glass right at you sends chills though your body.
I am not as concerned about a wolf learning how to open car doors as I'm about my youngest cat accidentally growing thumbs so he can use the keys and door knobs..... He knows what we use them for and copies us twisting the door knobs....
I live in the Appalachian mountains in VA. My experience with all wild animals is that they are curious, far more intelligent than we give them credit for, not often as violent as we believe, and every single one is an individual, behaving and thinking like no other.
You are certainly correct but not to be rude, there just arent that many animals (large predators) in Appalachia that COULD be dangerous. Unfortunately too many people have the mindset that animals are “misunderstood” etc and go to places that does have dangerous big game and predators and end up dying or getting extremely injured. They are far more intelligent than most think, definitely, but they are most definitely far more dangerous than most people think as well.
@@philliphampton5183 I agree to a certain extent. The majority of the animals have an instinct to protect their territory or family depending on which we’re talking about. They don’t go on the “offense” just for the heck of it. IF they do, it’s because we’re not supposed to be there in the first place.
Seen them on logging roads at a distance quite often while moose hunting northern Ontario. Long legs, a bunch howled and followed me back to the cabin, they were just curious I’m sure. They kept 100 yards off. An old trapper once told me he only had one incident in the late winter, they wanted to attach his sled dogs, he had an old 38 revolver and fired one shot into a tree, they ran off. He said you just need to mind your own business…?

The closest I've ever been to a wolf was a half wolf/half dog I saw being walked in the park once. I noticed that it's ankles were moving differently from a regular dog so I asked the owner if it was a wolf and he told me it was half. The wolf/dog had really long legs and it was tall and beautiful! That walk has always been described in books as a "deadly grace." And it was glorious to behold!
I had a half German Shepherd/half Timber Wolf. She was solid white. It was almost like her fur was transparent and shiny. I had her for almost 14 wonderful years. She was one of the smartest and sweetest animals I ever had. But you have to know how to discipline a wolf. You should never raise your voice or a hand against them. But your words should be firm. They will respond in kind. They understand how to work as a team, a family. You become a part of their pack. You are their family. It takes a lot of time and responsibility to have a wolf or wolf dog. I hardly ever went anywhere that she couldn't go. She was like a child of mine and her passing was one of the worst days of my life. If it were not for my age and disability, I would gladly take on another one that needed my love. ❤️🐺❤️

"It's not gonna make any dents!"
She clearly does not know how insanely hard wolves bite.
Maybe what she meant the wolf seemed to just bite it playfully. Not the real bite, just like cats playing cats fight with their siblings.
She just wanted to keep looking at the wolf and didn’t care about the damage.
Not her car😂 I am guessing
Well I thought the same thing but not because I underestimate the strengths of their bites but because I don’t think wolves would clamp down on something so unfamiliar and that’s already pretty hard and durable.
Dude sounded like a whiny beta

Wolves are so amazing and majestic animals ❤
Monster beasts mauling any pastured animals in the places that belong to civilization since centuries. Effin ecofascism!

Gorgeous majestic animal. Lucky to have been able to see that
I suggest checking out a Wolf sanctuary if you haven't already. Fascinating although you never feel completely safe around a 165 pound wolf but its still worth it

What a rare event. Respect for this awesome wolf.

@@SKITEMAN Possibly. Possibly not. Wolves (many animals actually) don’t really recognize Humans as normal animals because we don’t smell like nature so they don’t know how to act. But that can change with Barriers between them or multiple encounters with humans.
That said I noticed a building in the back. So I can think of several possibilities
Such a beautiful creature

Gorgeous creature, As intelligent as they are wolves haven't learned how door handles work yet, so they were quite safe. Be grateful to have that moment in the presence of such a magnificent creature. That point where the wolf looks through the glass right at you sends chills though your body.
I am not as concerned about a wolf learning how to open car doors as I'm about my youngest cat accidentally growing thumbs so he can use the keys and door knobs..... He knows what we use them for and copies us twisting the door knobs....
Not to mention, the wolf would’ve most likely run away anyway. Wolves are very timid when it comes to people, and avoid conflict when they can ❤

There is a video of a lioness opening a cars door with her mouth... i would be worried about the wolf being able to do the same 😅.
so freaking cute omg
I live in the Appalachian mountains in VA. My experience with all wild animals is that they are curious, far more intelligent than we give them credit for, not often as violent as we believe, and every single one is an individual, behaving and thinking like no other.
Beautifully said! We’re very lucky to live amongst them.
Do you think this wolf wanted to be violent?
Ikr people think animals just “act off instincts” like their robots or computers. No they are just as conscious as you. And sometimes just as smart!
I never realized how big they can be. It is so beautiful too.
You should see a timber when they shed, their muscles are insanely terrifying! Still cool and beautiful though.
Whoa i didn't know how big wolves are. It's absolutely beautiful.

How beautiful! Such a special moment to see that wolf up close in the wild. 💚
Wolves almost seem to float sometimes. We had one for twelve years, and it was quite an experience.
@@joannleichliter4308 beautiful!
What were those ankles doing for you to notice them so hard though?
