No need to reset, when you replace the maintenance cartridge, the chip in the cartridge will reset the printer. The MC cannot be reused in another printer.
you have 2x black bottle in the box, each for 6000 pages, with eco mode up to 7000 or more pages and 6000 color pages, based on ISO standard for inkjet printers, so enough for some time :-)

the Canon bottle has double hole and mechanical ID to fill the correct color, it will not fit

PVC is not supported as the media feeder bends the media quite a lot, so thick or hard media cannot be used.
