I never got timme but one day i will
Every time I went to the store with my dad I will buy timmee toys army men and we will play for hours
@@jennifercastellon4786 nice it must be fun to play with Timmy toysb
They are super good quality
@@jennifercastellon4786 in what store? Toy store or where??
My first tanks just delivered, I got a single pack of medium green, and they shipped it in just the clear timmee bag 🤦🏻♂️ so anyone who works at a mail facility can obviously see it’s a bag of army men tanks, but ngl they are SUPER high quality
I agree with you! I've been a toy soldier collector for years and have a whole room filled with plastic miniatures from around the world, including for instance Reisler of Copenhagen (Danish sailors). But nobody beats Tim-Mee for overall quality. Firstly I like the nice SOFT "LDPE" plastic that Tim-Mee is using, which reminds me of how toy soldiers were made back in the "Golden Age" of the 1960s and 1970s. Also there is a good balance of poses; not just fighting positions but also "neutral" poses like the squad leader standing with his arm outstretched, or the officer standing with pistol---these can be used for a variety of situations. Even the hand-to-hand combat guy holding his rifle above his head can be used alternately as a soldier wading across a river, and the guy with metal-detector can be re-imagined as a soldier with spade digging fortifications. Also these Tim-Mee guys, unlike many toy soldier sets, include a heavy weapons squad; mortar man, flame -gunner,machine -gunner,and the anti-tank bazooka guy. And even better, they are now being made in new colors like pink and mint-green. I'm glad Tim-Mee is back in business! Toy soldiers are better than model soldiers!
I remember my grandfather bought me a big lot of Tim Mee soldiers he found at a flea market. (I didn't know they were Timmee back then) and I thought they were so cool, and I knew they were of a higher quality. But as a kid, none of the stores had Tim Mees anywhere. Mostly cheap sets.
Many years later I found my old collection. And a few years ago, armed with the power of the internet (lol) I began to research companies and sets attempting to find the Tim Mee and BMC army men I had. When I finally learned the companies and that they still make them I was elated.
That's why I give company details with my reviews. There may be a kid out there, or a someone looking to reconnect with their childhood, who would like more of a particular brand. Part of my mission is to help people find what they're looking for.
sometimes there is too many neutral poses in other sets.
@Bobbyjustbobby Yeah but Airfix are MODEL soldiers, not really toys. There is a difference.
@@kellysnipe9586 can you explain ?
TOYS are for PLAY, MODELS are for DISPLAY. A model has to be an exact duplicate of a real person or vehicle. But toy makers are allowed to use "artistic license", which simply means that they can deviate from actual reality. A toy tank, for instance, can be any color such as red or blue, because it doesn't have to be realistic.,,,,,True TOY soldiers should be simple, inexpensive, and should always be made of SOFT plastic for durability.
I had the original WW2 Timmy Army men when I was young in the 60's. They where my favorites with the medical crew, nurse and dog. Then in 68 they switched to the vietnam era soldiers. This are those in the video.
I can only imagine how rare those World War II Timmy army men are now a day’s
I know. I had those too, but none of them survive. I handed down 1968 and 1969 ones that I got just before I grew out of toy soldiers, first to my son, and now my grandson has them.
@@Plasticphotographer23 You can still find those WW2 Timmy soldiers on Ebey. Some are the originals and some are remakes by B.M C. I have both. When I look at them. It reminds me of growing up so much playing with this army men. I collect army men. Now I have the WW2 TSSD,Conti, and Austin soldiers. They are the best!. Well sculptured and detailed. More expensive tho. But worth it.
@@refealibazeta7886 I agree, the ww2 figures have better detail and sculptures. I just found about B.M.C and I think it’s cool that a company is remaking all of those army men, and yes I agree it is worth the money for them.
Awesome video, I'm from India, back in late 80s my parents used to gift me army men, not sure where those used to be manufactured but the details were impeccable, now in my 40s when I was trying to get the same for my kid I found these to be a rare gem, still got hold of 4 packs of these TimMee from Amazon US, it was totally worth it; those days were the best devoid of console, mobile & computer games, where sheer imagination used to fuel the happiness of kids in outdoor with these toys ..back in those days; now so many companies are manufacturing these molds but the designs are downright atrocious, there should be a global community where folks can connect to keep tap of the places from where good finished army men can be collected
That's fantastic. These plastic creations certainly generated a wealth of imaginative play for me, and I've learned that their imaginative language transcends oceans and borders.
I started this channel after searching for the high quality army men I remembered as a child. And since beginning this channel I've learned so much about army men and the manufacturers, especially from the community.
It's my desire to always reference the companies, in an effort to make it easier for others to find exactly what they're looking for.
My goal is to help build a community as you said to explore these companies and to stay up to date on them.
@@CallofPlastic please make a stop motion of timmee soldiers vs hero force
I don’t live in America so I can’t really get timmee toys stuff as easily as anyone else but this stuff looks really nice and fun to play with
same lol
Amazon still carries it, if Amazon delivers to where you live.
But when I go on to Amazon I’m on the British Amazon so it won’t come up with American products and when Amazon does come up with timmee toys stuff it’s like 40 pounds and I’m not paying that just for two green jeeps and also I can’t use there website because it only delivers to American places which leaves me out of luck thank you for your help but I just don’t think get it
@@BuilderMan.. timmee delivers to the uk if you use the American website. Plus it’s cheaper that the uk website
I’ve never seen the British Timmee website because it’s an American toy but thanks
In my childhood, the timmee tanks had rubber wheels.
Tim Mee has one disadvantage compared to the cheap brands: their tanks don’t roll. The Hero Force and Adventure Force tanks all have wheels mounted beneath them but the Tim Mee tanks don’t. It’s kinda disappointing and I hope that Tim Mee can catch up to the competition in this area
They had wheels before but they were removed
@@shaanvijayan7633 That was a stupid move tbh...
Yes that was stupidity
Me and my friends had thousands of them. War after war. I painted some of my green ones camoflage each one at a time and the tanks and jeeps and artillery.
Only bad thing about modern Timmee compared to the late 1960s is the figure I call the Sergeant, aka the arm waving guy, he used to have a grenade and was useful, now, he's useless, as is the crawler, minesweeper, and most of the radiomen. I still have several of the ones with the grenade. I grew up in the 1960s so I had figures that are over 50 years old, I passed them down to my son, and now my grandson has them. Paw Paw (me) will set them up and have battles with him. In addition to mine, he also has my brothers (2 years younger) and those of 2 of my male cousins, my son's (his Uncle), and his dad's (my son in law). So, he has thousands, in numerous colors and styles! My grandson has his divided into Allies and Evil Coalition in a manner that shows his great imagination:
Allies:
Green Timmee = American
Tan Timmee and British = British
White Timmee = Israel (only has a few)
WW2 Dark Green (replica Marx?) = Canadian
WW2 Light Green = Australian and New Zealand
Japanese = Japan (after 70+ years and Godzilla movies Japan has joined the Allies)
Blue Timmee = SHIELD (he also reads my old comics)
Evil Coalition:
Grey Timmee and German = Arab Alliance
Red Timmee = North Korea
Black Timmee = Cuba
Pink Timmee = Hydra (because it's the sissy color. His words.)
Maroon Russians = Russians
Yes, he even wanted the new Army Women from BMC. They have since come out with Purple, but have been sold out for awhile. Not sure what country he'll make them.
One thing that timme does, yes the poses are random but they do make sure that you get at least one (or more) of every pose.
Tim Mee is for sure my favorite! Thank you for this video!
This is exactly what I was looking for in a video about these little classic guys. Excellent production value. Well done.
Thank you. I love doing this - there's more content to come, but I'm traveling for work.
I have every colour they do, apart from their orange soldiers, their coming in the next few months, I've saved almost £150 up so far. I'm getting 10 different products from BMC toys. I'm waiting until I have enough money to pay for all 10 and the postage costs too. I even have a pack of pink army men too. I've also got a collection of the army men games!
I like their new insert card packaging. Also, that shemagh makes a nice battle mat 😁
Great! I agree Tim Mee soldiers are excellent quality and got 2 of these nice reissue soldier bags. Price is a little high but size and quality are worth it to a degree. I like some of the cheaper buckets you have reviewed for price and tanks that are great quality in the buckets though I can mix. Nice stuff for different budgets. I really like Tim Mee Green and Lime Green and gray and red bags. Your reviews are excellent.
The true heroes toy soldiers look very strong with the shiny ness of the plastic, also including modified version of timmee toys, like the guy waving his hand now has a grenade in his hand, and now there is a standing rifleman, the flamethrower guy is now crouching just like the crouching and shooting rifleman, and there is a pistol man standing up and aiming sideways, and the rocket guy is standing, and I also noticed the machine gunner has no gun stand anymore.
I'm happy to report after storing mine in terrible conditions (bouncing around in a box from Arizona to Ohio) there is only one broken gun on a flat prone soldier. Compare that to others that have completely broken up, aka Armies in Plastic sadly.
I have played with army men since I was 3 and now I am 8 almost 9
The set of TimMee soldiers I got appeared to be assorted with 2 extras for both factions. I got 8 kneeling riflemen (one extra for the tans), 4 bazookas, 4 flamethrowers, 2 officers, 4 prone riflemen (one extra for the greens), 4 standing soldiers, 4 machine gunners, 2 minesweepers, 4 crawling soldiers (one extra for the greens), 4 bayonet soldiers, 4 mortars (one extra for the tans), and 4 radios. What I got for one faction is basically double what you get from the TimMee rescue helicopter and C130 plane.
Interesting. Thanks for the intel.
Toy soldiers are usually taller than tanks which make them look better
Today my Tim mee toys 100pc come it’s so cool it’s the best
You know what you should do make a tan soldier drinking water because they’re in the desert
Recently I got my hands on a box of the original Timmee Vietnam soldiers, like the ones in the video. And there was a marching pose included, which isn't in the reissues. I find that odd that they didn't replicate that specific pose, but they're still great reissues
I cannot find the link, but I have read that there were more poses. It sounded as if there was more than one pose missing from the reissues. But those casting molds were lost decades ago. They're believed to be in Mexico.
The marching man is gone, and the officer once held a grenade instead of the flat open hand he has now.
This is what I want

Dang, I have rip off army soilders, my Grandpa gave me a 300 piece army play set from “Blue Panda” and I have old soilders from the dollar tree, and the details aren’t great, but I like the way the face is not detailed lol, but I would like some Timme soilders
Hello! I was wondering if you would review some other sets in the future. Like airfix or fishel to name a few. Thank you for reading :)
Cool
Just got the infantry cant wait to get the armoured vehicles. btw do you know what brand is the best for stop motion?
In ebay when you buy TimMee Army Men it cost 40€ but I am gonna buy it
My parents don't understand why I need and want these so bad :(
He reached 1000 damnn
Muy bueno amigo
I am curious. I used a measuring stick and it showed me that the radio operator’s height (not including the antenna) is smaller than the kneeling rifleman’s. Should the radio operator be bigger than the rifleman because of his antenna?
You should have more subscribers
Hey dude! I have the soldier set but not the tanks. Are there any way to get tanks from both sides cheap? TimMee products are good, but they’re so expensive.
As of now, the closest thing I could find is the 16 piece tank set by Toy Essentials. Currently, these are running at $19.99. And you get 8 green and 8 tan tanks. There are two tank models, one of which is the M48. I'm not sure what the other one is. Also, I have no hands-on experience with these units. amzn.to/3iSlJKt

I just bought a timmee tank and a tank with army men set supposed to be from the 60s I got one in the mail. Do timmee tanks have any markings on them. Like is there a way to know right off the bat if it's an original or a replica. I'm brand spanking new to the army men hobby I know next to nothing.
Finely the timme army men I use I my stop motion vids and they remoloded the duce and a half so plz do a review of that plz
To start the number of the scops are different does that matter
Stupid import charges
I’m beginning a plastic army men stop motion series, but I’m curious as to which idea would be better: recreating WWII battles with army men or making my own fictional conflict with fictional countries utilizing the classic TimMee figures. Please like this comment if you think WWII is better or comment if you like the fictional conflict idea. Now here are the factors I’ve considered for each….
WWII Pros:
1. Most devastating conflict in all of human history
2. Extremely captivating considering 46% of all war movies are based on WWII
3. Beginning of what we consider the modern era of warfare
4. Diverse array of countries, vehicles, soldiers, and weapons
WWII Cons:
1. Want to be as historically accurate as possible as to not misrepresent the truth, so a great amount of time will need to be devoted in researching every little thing
2. Most WWII army men are either Germans or Americans even though WWII was a global conflict (it’d be difficult to portray the other countries of the war in detail when these other factions are so hard to find in army men scale)
3. The soldiers being army men wouldn’t really make sense and would be hard to explain in the series
4. WWII army men are actually pretty fragile for some reason and need to be stored in a safe and undisturbed space (space I don’t really have)
Fictional Conflict Pros:
1. I can take the story anywhere I want as long as it’s semi-realistic
2. Battles are fictional, so they can’t be historically accurate
3. TimMee army men are cheaper than the WWII ones and don’t seem to be as fragile while still being high quality
4. I don’t have to portray as many countries on both sides of the war (if that makes sense). The conflicts can simply be greens vs. tan throughout the series rather than Germany, Italy, and Japan vs. UK, USA, Australia, Canada, France, Russia, China, etc. etc.
Fictional Conflict Cons:
1. Weapons, vehicles, and equipment would all be more or less the same, which wouldn’t make sense during a war. It’d be almost as if one weapons company was supplying both sides of the war
2. The soldiers would all look American, which also wouldn’t make sense
3. The vehicles would all have to have the same symbols (white stars and whatnot) on them or none at all, which would make them look dull and undetailed
4. I don’t want to just copy the same story that the army men games and other stop motions like Plastic Apocalypse already have set up, so I’d have to spend time establishing my own unique story and universe for my series
Thanks to those who read all of this! Any feedback would be appreciated and I apologize for making this so long!
Fictional conflict. It is hard to portray WW2 but if you do you kind of have to focus on the Americans and Germans. But BMC has a line of British and Russian soldiers.
@@kkduds3119 Not to mention most of the WWII vehicles are either German or American.
Plz review the German army soldiers by BMC Toys
Im just curious how randomised are the bags of army men? Because I've noticed both sides have a good amount of kneeling rifle men
It is not randomized at all. Each side should come with an equal amount of soliders.
@@kkduds3119 not all poses are equal though. Heck, the green side in this video doesn't have any men holding pistols unlike the tan side
For some reason my green TimMee are more Oliver teen than old green and they are way lighter than my vehicles. Did I buy the wrong thing?
No. I've noticed slightly different shades of the OD green. The darkest OD greens I have are part of the AC-130 set. The 100 piece Green and Tan, the OD guys are slightly lighter in appearance. I didn't realize this until I had them all out, organizing them
Great thin looking models with good detail but i dont like the helmets. Should have gone for the Pasgt kevlar helmets instead.
Mechanized Infantry!
Are the soldiers 1/32 scale?
These guys are 1/35. They stand at 2.1 inches, or about 5.33cm
Is BMC any good
BMC is good. I've done 2 big sets of theirs, D-Day and I would Jima, as well as their tanks.
I don't like the US Army or German Army poses as much. But the US Marines are great, as are the Japanese, Russian and British.
Besides that, BMC is good quality.
Why are they pink now?
I think it was for breast cancer awareness.
Woe
i prefer marx army soldiers that have better detail and poses
Compared to Airfix they look crap! Why would you want two opposing armies just the same apart from the colour?
is the patton platoon a real tank?
Yes. It's based off the M48 Patton.
@@CallofPlastic oh ok thx
@@Eclipse_Nature It does not take a idiot to realize they are real tanks.
@@CallofPlastic And to correct you, it is the M48 Patton, specifically M48A2 Patton.

Too many crawling guys for the tans
Which is better 74 or 50
Not sure I understand the question. Are you referring to years or the number of figurines?

Which army would be better. A army of only timer toys or a army of soldiers from different sets

Which one is better , 50 soldiers or 74 soldiers.
74 soliders
