Named of 6 flag riser Ira Hayes, John H.Bradley , Michael Stank, Franklin Sousley, Rene A. Gagnon and Harlon H. Block.
Hey me and Ira share a name, sick!!!
@@hayeshurley2789 it was second flag put up.
those heads on the d-day sets look so freaking goofy man
Started my set of BMC WW2 figures slowly then during WW2 weekend in Reading Pa. found 2 Iwo Jima grey Mt. Suribachi terrain 3 pc sets for $15, now i have a great diorama for my grandson to play with.
I'd love to see the TSSD Marines and IJA would look alongside these guys.
I remember seeing one of these sets years ago at the WW2 weekend near me and begging my dad for it, but it was way too much. I've since gotten the set of just the soldiers and flag raisers but maybe one day I'll get my hands on this.
That’s how I started my collection I did little sets of soldiers to these big ones
Me too
Thanks for the tips on opening them, I’m about to buy it
You are very welcome.

I got this set for my birthday few weeks ago
The hilltop, landing craft, tank are all first rate. However, if you want to put together a great diorama/playset/wargame you will need to do a few things. First, the figures. The Japanese are very large and not very well sculpted. The marines are much better sculpted and perfect 1/32 scale. Better to add in the Marx, Airfix, CTS and MPC Japanese figures. They are thin as they should be and in 1/32 scale. On off 4 makers of the Japanese you will get great poses, including officer with samarai sword, radio man, 2 man MG team, Mortar man, many charging with bayonets poses and the best, an actual charging with a rising sun flag! Total of 41 poses on all 4 makers and you can get them relatively easy, the Marx and CTS are currently made. The Airfix and MPC are a bit tougher to get but Ebay has many. Finally, you may want to open your wallet and get the Plastic Platoon artillery with 3 man crew. That's the only thing that was missing from my want list. It's very expensive but worth it, you'll have a perfect Japanese force. As for the US army/marines? Plenty. TSSD, CTS, Marx, Austin miniatures. You'll get officers, heavy MG team, mortar guy, radio men, bazooka men, flamethrower men and a 3 man heavy artillery team. Total of 52 poses and you can get more from Marx too. Also, add in the Marx palm trees and ferns and their Battleground accessories (ammo and medical cases, oil barrels, sandbag emplacements, land mines, etc.). You'll have the perfect set.
We all love you and your videos so keep it up
I always enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up!
Love to see these reviews the close looks really helped me make the decision to buy these
Those figures are very cool
What a great set! And thanks for the tips on opening to not damage them.
Need a deluxe version- a bag of MARX recast Japanese in tan, A CTS Chi Ha tank and a bag of MARX Marines in OD.
I remember wanting this set so bad when I was younger. never got it. I’m 21 now and still want it.
Lol it costs more than the amount of money i have.
Hell yeah! Glad to see another review
I enjoyed this review! I bought this set earlier this year!
The Sherman looks like an M4A2 or A3 Sherman. It has a welded hull unlike the M4A1 which had a cast hull, dry ammo stowage because it has the armour plates on the side, a 1 peice transmission or lower plate, big hatch and VVSS suspension, the model is a little hard to identify as the M4A2 has a small hatch, most likely a mid war variant as Ford produced small hatch Shermans until they left the Sherman program in 1943 but still supplying engines to Crysler and Fischer Body Factory, judging by the front gear, it's probably a Fischer Body Sherman. Correct me if I am wrong and my source is from Eta320's video about the Sherman variants and Google searches.
Thank you for the reviews, I'm about to get it soon in the mail for a Christmas present.
Great set. Good review.
The original figures were painted metal creations by King and Country. BMC got the rights to do them in plastic.
Nice! Thanks for sharing
Hello from Italy.

Take the high ground!
Japan: Its over america we have the high ground

Did you have it ?... And if yes, Frankly, what's your feeling ?... 🧐🙂
Banzaaaaii !!!!
Nice
Damn I really want that now!!!
Same
Cool
Maybe I missed it but the BMC figures for this set were taken from King and Country sets. The D day sets are who knows ? Simply standard plastic army men. The BMC marines are pretty large. The best IMHO are still the Marx figures, while BMCs Marines are equal their Marines have the better pose selection for combat /Marx Marines are also very good and BMC has recast and sold them under their logo .
Let’s gooo
I bought this a couple years ago for my birthday I love it along with the San Juan hill but I wish they made the d day figures detailed and not like it was drawn by a 3 year old
your the best bro keep it up but i wanna know how big is the set
I ordered these guys on Amazon, I have very high hopes!
You will be glad you did!
@@CallofPlastic I received them yesterday, they are some of THE BEST toy soldiers I have ever seen
Do a review on a boley combat zone military play set. Bet u can’t hehehe
I wish they had used the silver gray spring type barbed wire instead of the fence line type.
Can you do a review of awesome little green men toys from RUclips and review them please
Post more videos!
Please!
the thing is where is the japanese soldiers bayonets?
No Fighting in the War room
They should also make Italian plastic army men for the battle of Sicily aka Operation Husky playset.
Or a WW1 set, like the somme
@@chasesheridan3109 Yeah, the possibilities are endless.
I think BMC just released a new set of Italian soldiers! I know your comment is from a year ago lol so they weren't around then, but they have em now!
@@yodecthegiant Great, I knew they would release them eventually.
Ye
😊😊
The Japanese words on the flag say “勝利征戦”which means “win and conquer the battle” I am Japanese so yeah. Sorry if I made any mistakes
Thanks for the translation.

How did you set up the map?
Have one but it’s missing the star for it
What sand do you use? Is it just normal sand or kinetic sand? Or is it something else.
It's kinetic sand.
They need to add the M1A1 Thompson SMG and Type 100 also they need a Springfeild M1903 and M1 Carbine
they didn’t really use the springfield in the pacific war i believe
@@rextroung6828 at the start they did. The Marines ran on hand me down equipment, so while the Army was equipped with Garands, the Marines in the Phillipines and then at Guadacanal we're using 1903s as their standard rifle.

They should make a battle of Stalingrad
It will be cool seeing Russian army men
That would be fun
What about the Marx mid 60's Iwo island set
they should sell the mountain on its own bc I want it only really
Apparently the Japanese army dudes I bought from Japan are yellow

Hi. Im wondering where did u get ur sand or whatever it is called that u use for ur playsets cause im trying to get it for my 12 year old son. I wish and hope that they make a tiger 1 tank and a 76mm M1A1 sherman tank. And type 97 kinda tank and i really hope so that they make more playsets.
It's called Kinetic Sand. It can be found at Walmart, Target and Amazon.
@@CallofPlasticokay thank you
How to play with your grandfather
The Iwo Jima soldiers was copied from King & Country D-Day and Tarawa sets
When I orders one of them and it arrived the WHOLE Japanese team was missing so you know why ?
i assume its because you can order the pieces alone and not the whole set, of just because of bad shipping.
call o' plastic
Why are you wearing gloves?
Cus it’s so fancy it will cut ur hand
Dis soiders are from germany
5 marines and one Corpsman for the flag raising
No brother, they were all identified by headquarters Marine Corps back in 2016 as all of them Marines! I was stationed in Hawaii when it happened.
