THE COURT THE RING THE BALL AND THE LEGEND. jordan will never fade out in history and no living soul WILL EVER replace him or be half as good as he was when he was in just a kid.
First when I was 7 and i knew absolutly nothing about basketball. But then one day i saw this great man score that game-winning jumpshot against the Cavs. It changed my life and now i play basketball every time i can. It goes to show that great people can inspire other people to try their hardest.
You know....Sometimes you just forget how much better Jordan was then everybody he played against. Not taking anything away from LeBron, Kobe, and D-Wayde......But they just don't makem like this anymore.....Watching this video was so refreshing...This is when there were REAL rivalries in the NBA. None of this everybody is friends crap we see now. These teams truly couldnt stand eachother which made for a great brand of basketball..The Magic,Jordan,Bird,Barkley,Thomas,Ewing era was the best!
there are up-coming stars in nba...Lebron...Wade...Kobe and many damn more...but their standards won't ever come close to jordan man...NOWHERE CLOSE...he is juz GOD-LIKE!
omg when he snatched that ball from that dude!! l kept replaying it like O_O HUH!!! then the guy talking , "that aint right what he did to....." lmao! ii wish i saw him play back in the day during his GREATEST
I think it's wrong to make a top 40 for MJ, because of two reasons: 1) MJ just had such a charisma, he could even make a free throw look amazing. He created a highlight every time he picked up a basketball. 2) Everybody has his favorite Jordan-moment, so there's not really a #1. Sure "The Shot" was amazing, but man, too many people would come up with something else. MJ, you will ALWAYS be the best ever... Period!
I agree, watching Kobe and LeBron, wasn't anything like watching MJ play. He just had this charisma on the court not to mention it seems today's superstars kinda imitate the way he use to play.
His father died and after te '93 Finals he said that the 'fire' wasn't there anymore. The inner drive to play hard was out, as I'm sure most athletes close to a parent would have felt. He came back two years later and was still able to finish on top!
wow i was surprised to see #25 be the same thing i was thinking of! ive always thought that play was his best ever, but it just wasnt the most important. couple overlooked ones: when he scores 51 at the garden and just starts screamin at van gundy oh my god!!! i'd piss myself. the other: the jordan score, steal, strip, block showed his amazing athleticism. greatest of all time
im only 13 and i never got to see MJ play in my life and i never felt the atmosphere of the game with "The MICHAEL JORDAN" i only saw little video clips of him i missed a lot and the other players that compare are bryant james or maybe wade i feel i missed a great moment in mankind
it would be scary to see the young mj start in todays league. I think it would make players like kobe and Lebron even better. They would get to witness pure fire on the court and i think would inspire them to follow. Follow .. but never catch:)
I think it's funny in this video that once they hit 20 the announcers stopped talking and just watched the video too. I'm not sure if that was intended or not, but if I was the announcer I'd have a tough time not sitting there quietly watching these amazing highlights.
it wasn't the top 40 moves it was the top 40 moments, but still, you're right, there's tons more. Who else can you say that for in the history of the NBA?
Lol N e one realize number 16 wen he hit the game winner the fans in atlanta cheered for him more than feel sorry their team lost Its show the respect that MJ had in the Game Basketball god
I agree, #25 may very well have been the most *amazing* play ever... but overall not very important. There's also one play where he changes direction on the Heat 2-3x on the way down the court and just changes gears for the dunk.. should have been on here too but then again.. there's probably a top 1000 Jordan moments.
The series-clinching shot in the '98 Finals should have been number 1. I don't know why "The Shot" against Cleveland is where it is. The importance of the former far outweighs the latter.
@GemZel16 - Because he's Mike , man. If you werent there, you just cant understand how big a star he was. Michael jackson, the Beatles, Ali, Babe Ruth all rolled into one.
@WeAndWeR1 its a well deserving number 1. that was fairly early in jordan's career, before they could ever get over the hump and win a playoff series. that was the shot that launched jordan from a scorer to a winner. the only one they could have possibly put ahead of it was the game winner vs the jazz, and only cause it was in the finals. but cleveland was a beast back in the day. they ,along with the knicks, suns, and blazers probably could have won a title or two if it werent for mj
On #34, they used the wrong commentary. That was the call for a soaring MJ dunk in Detroit. I think it was in Detroit. Wrong call for the wrong play. Oh, how they use perceived reality on TV these days.
Well, with MJ you could eliminate the 40 moments in this video, pick 40 more from scratch, and those 40 would be better than any other player in NBA history's 40 best.
Great compilation, brings me back to the good old days.
THE COURT THE RING THE BALL AND THE LEGEND. jordan will never fade out in history and no living soul WILL EVER replace him or be half as good as he was when he was in just a kid.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS... PERSONALITY... SKILLS... it's MICHAEL JORDAN... the greatest basketball player ever live!
First when I was 7 and i knew absolutly nothing about basketball. But then one day i saw this great man score that game-winning jumpshot against the Cavs. It changed my life and now i play basketball every time i can. It goes to show that great people can inspire other people to try their hardest.
Jordan exemplifies perfection at a chosen profession!
Michael Jordan is so amazing top 1000 is not even enough to show what he has done in basketball!!!
i wish i were old enough to watch the NBA when Jordan was playing. I've seen old Jazz/bulls playoff games and it's just not the same as today's games.
He is really the best. its really a pity that I dint get to watch all his clips and wasnt a bball fan in my younger days
great video!!! Michael Jordan is the best!!!!!!!
MJ is amazing. People say "Kobe" or "Lebron" are gonna be the next Michael Jordan, but theres no chance. Nobody will ever come close to him.
Makes me smile :)
I'm so happy I was born in the era of Jordan
I agree, that's my favorite moment.
#25 is the best thing ive ever seen in basketball
man jordans so illll!
great clip. thanks.

world's best ever player in sport history.
Jordan rocks. Long live Air Jordan. Now only if his son will take the throne.
there are up-coming stars in nba...Lebron...Wade...Kobe and many damn more...but their standards won't ever come close to jordan man...NOWHERE CLOSE...he is juz GOD-LIKE!
number 25. best move i've ever seen. in my life
My god this man is great.
mj transended the game of basketball.. there wouldnt be any kobe's or lebron's if it wasnt for what mj did to the game.. BEST EVER.
the best. always.
omg when he snatched that ball from that dude!! l kept replaying it like O_O HUH!!! then the guy talking , "that aint right what he did to....." lmao!
ii wish i saw him play back in the day during his GREATEST
No.25 ....Incredible!!!!!!!!!
I didn't even know about the eyes closed free throw. Greatest ever. There could easily be 4000.
best ever

greatest of all time

damn. thats why he is the GOAT!
His father died and after te '93 Finals he said that the 'fire' wasn't there anymore. The inner drive to play hard was out, as I'm sure most athletes close to a parent would have felt. He came back two years later and was still able to finish on top!
MJ LOVE
This is the only player ever in the nba who can have a top 40 moments video
wow i was surprised to see #25 be the same thing i was thinking of! ive always thought that play was his best ever, but it just wasnt the most important. couple overlooked ones: when he scores 51 at the garden and just starts screamin at van gundy oh my god!!! i'd piss myself. the other: the jordan score, steal, strip, block showed his amazing athleticism. greatest of all time
there was never a thing... like Michael Jordan
Now he owns a team in motorcycle racing. Not to mention that he even has a line of motorcycle gear that looks really good.
I Get the Chills Watching that shot at 3:12, AMAZING!
JORDAN IS A GOLDEN GOD
Im sorry im gonna have 2 Differ. Jordan is a LEGEND And if anybody comes close 2 him its LEBRON JAMES that kid is a beast hands down
The Bulls really laid the smack on the Cavs!!!!
The Cavs are the ones who experienced most the Jordan damage!!!!
im only 13 and i never got to see MJ play in my life and i never felt the atmosphere of the game with "The MICHAEL JORDAN" i only saw little video clips of him
i missed a lot and the other players that compare are bryant james or maybe wade
i feel i missed a great moment in mankind
25th the best move jordan ever made..it should be the number 1
it would be scary to see the young mj start in todays league. I think it would make players like kobe and Lebron even better. They would get to witness pure fire on the court and i think would inspire them to follow. Follow .. but never catch:)
I love how the Sportscenter guys quit talking at number 11. They probably started crying from watching the highlights.
I think it's funny in this video that once they hit 20 the announcers stopped talking and just watched the video too. I'm not sure if that was intended or not, but if I was the announcer I'd have a tough time not sitting there quietly watching these amazing highlights.
#8 he snapped

Unbelievable.

Number 4 shud be number 1. The Hell wd it, coz MJ is GOD. No player is close to him!
No one compares Lebron to Jordan. He even said himself Lebron is his own.
He's the best...that's all
25 = danggg.... thats a really hard shot to make
it wasn't the top 40 moves it was the top 40 moments, but still, you're right, there's tons more. Who else can you say that for in the history of the NBA?
My favorite is number eight.
anyone, dare i say.....kickin it ...old school?
=)
mike is just like a god of basketball
lebron and wade are good... but its just not fair comparing them to him
greatest b-ball of all time
One of the few people who understands that lebron needs to develop a shot like how jordan did after he couldn't dunk as much anymore.
#17 is just as sick as #25
bill lambeer felt sick after that play
At first I thought of that too, but after listening to it for more times I really have my doubts. In my opinion it only sounds similar to it.
Lol N e one realize number 16 wen he hit the game winner the fans in atlanta cheered for him more than feel sorry their team lost Its show the respect that MJ had in the Game Basketball god
3:20 is SIIICCKCK.
MICHAEL JORDAN IZ THE FUCKIN MAN

I agree, #25 may very well have been the most *amazing* play ever... but overall not very important.
There's also one play where he changes direction on the Heat 2-3x on the way down the court and just changes gears for the dunk.. should have been on here too but then again.. there's probably a top 1000 Jordan moments.

there is just w8 ^^ its me!! i can dream cant i? and i know i can do this ^^ and its not just my dream to go in NBA its my destiny!
No no no no. Jerry Rice is the Michael Jordan of football.
@WeAndWeR1 its a well deserving number 1. that was fairly early in jordan's career, before they could ever get over the hump and win a playoff series. that was the shot that launched jordan from a scorer to a winner. the only one they could have possibly put ahead of it was the game winner vs the jazz, and only cause it was in the finals. but cleveland was a beast back in the day. they ,along with the knicks, suns, and blazers probably could have won a title or two if it werent for mj

mj must of hated those poor cavaliers lol
On #34, they used the wrong commentary. That was the call for a soaring MJ dunk in Detroit. I think it was in Detroit. Wrong call for the wrong play. Oh, how they use perceived reality on TV these days.
Who's game is this, Michael Jordan's game this is!!!
I totally forgot he played baseball. lol
Well, with MJ you could eliminate the 40 moments in this video, pick 40 more from scratch, and those 40 would be better than any other player in NBA history's 40 best.
