There's this one greaser in my school that thinks psychobilly is for emos and he doesn't even listen to greaser music. And a lot of people call him the only "true" greaser in my school when I've been greasing it a bit longer than him and I know more about the style and they call me a poser.

I have gotten into greaser culture five years ago. Never dressed as one until very recently, though. Who gives a shit if people make fun of what I look like? That's what I'm trying to do in my school to revive that style, but yet only my friends are the ones that aren't respectin the change. plus I wouldn't say that I'm a real greaser yet cuz I'm still learning, but this channel and my grandfather are teaching me well on what being a greaser really is. And so far obviously my friends have asked my why I'm dressed up like pony boy the outsiders. God, I thought that I was the only 16 year old guy watching your videos, man! Become a greaser changed my life for good.
I know this video has been out for a while now but I'd like to leave a little tip for any new greasers that are getting into the whole lifestyle always remember "you are who you hang around" if you hang around a bunch of bad people people are going to see you as a bad person and it works the other way as well but always watch who you hang around cuz you will hate yourself if you end up like that.
When you wake up and look yourself in the mirror you have to be like duke nukem and look and say to yourself "Damn i'm looking good"

I’m big into greasing now, I have been doing it for a few years at this point and I wasn’t into it before I found your vids, I liked greasers and all, I just never took the time to do it myself, but now I do it everyday because of your videos. Thank you so much for helping me find a community that I like with good style, good clothes, great music, and awesome cars.

I'm the only greaser in my school, I've been kinda shunted to the side. But I've been getting some people into it. I just saw this channel today, I never knew about it. I'm 17 and I started when I was 14 or 15, I did it bc I saw pictures of my grandpap back in the day with the hair and his bel air, I thought it was the coolest thing, so I started. I grew out my hair and put American crew in my hair, it was way to expensive so I went to royal crown. I had no idea other people like this kinda stuff that's so cool.
In some ways the 50's never go out of style. Like the Madman says bro, just be you. Grease for peace!
That's some great advice cat, i know for me I haven't been a greaser for long but I'm the only one at my school so I feel like i gotta represent you dig. I love every second of it though because I feel like my own person, and really ain't that what it means to be a greaser to be your own man or woman and to just live how ever the hell you wanna live?

I dress up like a greaser most of the time but when I do stuff like yard work or other things I just wear sweats but I still rock my fitted t shirts and roll the sleeves and I still comb my hair.

Really enjoy the content, i havent realised until i saw your channel that my dad is actually a greaser, sort of, he greases his grey hair, loves leather jackets and even sometimes uses greaser slang, he actually got me into leather jackets and really love it, and you got me into thinking of greasing my hair lol

Man oh man...when I went through my Outsiders and Grease phase in middle school, I’d dress up in flannel and blue jeans and high tops with my jean jacket and a dog tag...more fun years of my life. And I had a favorite Coca Cola t shirt...haha
Cause it wasn’t really acceptable to gel my hair, cause I’m a girl, I’d just go an extra day without a shower and clip it back real nice so it looked kinda shiny.
Me and my best friend at the time had a ball doing it for kicks. I loved the camaraderie aspect of it, but it was just the two of us. Almost started a sorta club in high school for a “greaser” sorta deal, wanted to get club jackets...that idea fell through, unfortunately.
If you’re a bit nervous about becoming a greaser, slowly integrate it, start with rolled cuffs and sleeves, some slang and lingo, and eventually add more, throw in a jacket, maybe paint it once you’re comfortable

I live in rather a none white neighbor hood and I'm the only Greaser at my middle school. I just show up to school wearing this and I mean there's girls and guys like my friends that love it and there's the other side that's just like dude what are you doing? and I'm like "I'm doing my shit"

My unkles has greasey hair use brillo cream and cowboy shirts. Smoking palmalls buttless and lucky beer remembering was 6 yes old. Memories for me...I cut my hair almost like my unkles was inspired and memories.
Where I stay at I'm the only rockabilly in my city and I get alot of people telling me that they love the way I do my pomp and when I have my kids I'll have them get into the lifestyle how I'm keeping it rockabilly style
I mean. I live in Maine. I live totally east and north. The issue is im the only person. Im chilled out, laid back, dont take shit, and dont follow the rules. In my school im totally outnumbered to the point that its like a thousand or so kids to just me. And my school does not look lightly upon greasers. Theyll suspend, expell all that. So what? Any advice?

back when greasers we're well ..greasers .we would wear black chukka boots as dress ups.
some would prefer the suede.. some would prefer leather.. always.. and i say always black...most would wear them..
and dont forget your cleats ..
some would use horseshoe some would use smaller but..we would all have some type..tho not necessary.. but prefered and we would klik as we walked. (and the janitors would get mad cas we scratched their waxed floors..).there was a whole dress up style that we used for more formal times . and cleated black chukka's were the style mostly..( mostly means mostly we had others also..).questions..?.. i can answer ..(and heres a weird factoid for ya up n comers.. we would climb trees for no reason.just cas it was cool to stand in a tree...) (ask me the preferred dance .most would do..ill save ya the question the answer is " The Floorshake" you would lay down and flop on the floor like a fish and it would clear the floor it was disruptive)..the rah rahs would get mad cas they were dancin with their chiks .sometimes fights would break out cas of it....now thats some greaser shit rite there.. yer welcome..carry on..

I notice you include RudeBoys in your intro.These are a very different group more akin to the Mods.Originally from Jamaica they wore snappy tight suits,very short hair and porkpie hats.More associated with UK original (pre racist)skinheads they were into Ska and Reggae music.

Never heard the term used for Mexicans.The UK/Jamaican "Rude Bwoys" started in the early 60s just in time to confront the Rockers.They later either went Rasta or Skinhead.
