Imagine walking around Tokyo seeing these dude in a park thinking that they're yakuza members with Glock 26s in their waist and then after 15 minutes you start seeing them busting sick moves to old rockabilly songs.
they look more like bosos than yakuzas to me. I personally like bosozoku gangs more lol. They're more full of spirit 😂
@@N-JOEI bosos was booming in the 50s
@@faizskateter0128 mm yee... 🤔
Yakuzas almost never carry guns of any kind
My heart: doki doki
Lol, another weeb moment
But for real, rockabilly/greaser vibes are always so cool.
he really be walking ion the street of tokyo looking hot like this every day. WHat a man.
Kelsey i know, i know 😭
Kelsey I know 🤧
I want to visit Tokyo more than ever now.
yeah it is like his whole identity is fake lmao
when you don't work and you live off other people you can look and act like your an white American from a cartoon 50's.
This is the same dude in the 5soc Youngblood I fucking fell in love with him
ITS frozen me toooooo😆
So did I. So Did I!
AgustD Suga who didn't 😂
This guy is hot ,no homo
Kat Boi homo is not bad 😉
after watching this video I've become 10x cooler, my hair is slick af, and my hip thrusts are sharper
Lmao wtf
😂😂
Yasmine cool
idk why that made me laugh hard
Lmao bruh
they should interact with more rockabilly communities around the world. there are many people still into the style and from newer generations too.
Yep! There's still large followings of it all over the U.S., a HUGE following in Australia, lots in the U.K.....It's awesome that so many places still appreciate such a classic and timeless culture and style, very few styles of the past still have this many people loving it today!
I'm from the United States, age 19, and I absolutely love rockabilly music and culture. Everything about it just makes me so happy.
Sweden is also hugh on it
Don’t forget Malaysia
Sweden is a Great place to visit
ok, but the story about highschooler Johnny going to Jack's Store and have a full transformation is so cool, just like a movie.
Facts
The Rockabilly kid
@@traderjoes4694 yes
And on top of that, becoming a rockabilly singer playing gigs around his country, his story it's a self made movie script.
The shop owner is so chill. Would even pay to see him perform, lol.
bisaf11 he reminds me of the PPAP dude
AHAHAHA I thought the same!! When he started talking, I was like woah, woah, woah!
You actually can. His name is Elovis Sato, he has a band too, the Tokyo Cramps. You can find them on RUclips and they do live performances pretty regularly.
Just passion no violence! I like it.
Great comment, and I must add "Exactly!"
I dont
The rockablly cultural was always about having fun and an escape from reality. That is the main reason why true Rockabillys stay forever with the music and style.
Just another reason to love Japan
if your a man lol it's a horrible place for women
ArtsyTerra Lmao it all depends on how you think and live your life. I have lived in many places but I like living in Tokyo the best and I’m a woman.
bro stfu no one cares
Nana Smith Japanese women not you
อีหยัง วะ lol I’m Japanese you really thought nana smith is my real name huh
So that's why in many 80s anime the cool guys were dressed in a Rockabilly attire 😮

@@skys6655 gto is more bosozoku style, but then again boso style is kind of derived from rockabilly style. Shakotan boogie is also a good mix between boso and rockabilly, heck even slamdunk has a rockabilly/psychobilly styled character
he actually drives a left side steering car in japan. that's totality
He's driving a 1987-1990 Chevy Caprice Wagon. Classic 60s-style 5-spoke wheels with BF Goodrich rubber helps complete the look. Like he said, this is his lifestyle, so driving an American car is also a must.
пол России на правом руле ездит :)
I barely know who 5sos really are, but I'm so glad they gave these people exposure in their music video! I honestly hope this lifestyle doesn't die off
I am obsessed with the song youngblood (never liked any 5sos before) but the mv goes so well with the song and they pull the rockabilly off so well. I'm glad I found this video as it is pretty interesting, but 2:54 to 3:02 I was not expecting that, lol.
yeep!!! s2 me too!!
Ummmfffffffhhhh... Jhokureeeteeeee uummmmfffhhhhh 😂😂😂
Good smeeeeellllll... 🤣🤣😂😂
@De Oppresso Libtard they were talking about the people, not the music video itself 😂
@De Oppresso Libtard well, I have close to absolutely no knowledge about rockabilly culture since I am in fact Cuban, so I can only judge the style of dress and you might have a point :)
When I first came to Japan in 1995, the dancing Elvises where in Harajuku. Last year (I made a video on my channel about Harajuku) I saw them again after 24 years. Some of the same guys were there, albeit with gray hair. I am glad they are still doing the thing they love. Kudos to them!
In the 1989 film, "Mystery Train", Jim Jarmusch does a great job capturing the 1950's Americana-Japanese inspired rockabilly culture in the first part of the story. Almost 30 years later, it's great to see that it's still starring under the radar in places like Piso Studio's, "Delinquent Hamsters"- the animated series featuring a Japanese man with a pompadour, rockabilly style, and naughty hamsters who curse, have 'bad boy' hair styles, and get into trouble.
They're like reverse weeaboos
full circle moments feel nice to see
what comes around goes around
its called a westaboo
The Ameriboo is strong in him indeed
It's like how old Western films were influenced by classic Samurai movies, which in turn inspired the Japanese to make new Samurai period pieces, which again in turn inspired more Westerns, etc. I think it's fascinating how culture is not bound to ethnicity
These are the guys from that 5sos song! Anyway, this whole culture seems very interesting ♡
I was here becuz of 5SOS too
you look good ...... I like you😍😍😍😍

i love the store owner
Johnny Pandora made me become a Rockabilly again. Since September 2019 when I first saw this video I was cached and into Rockabilly and 50s lifestyle again. I hope I can meet him one day. I want to thank him for bring me on the right way.
Not until the 5:16 mark did I realise I've seen this guy live. Went on a family trip to Japan about 4-5 years ago and we chose a random venue/bar to go into and this great rockabilly style band played live, this guy was in the exact same red suit and had the same hair along with a cute Japanese girl singing in a polka dot dress. Guitarist was amazing as well, lots of drunk Japanese business men were there as well, one of who got us all up off our table and dancing on the floor with everyone else. Was such an amazing night, highlight of the trip.
Who wouldn't want their hair to smell like chcocolate
Right? I need that now. The pomade I use smells like Pina Colada and it's amazing!
mmm... chocolate... that Jumpin Jacks guy was hilarious !
He got me at cocos, he's a fucking genius
I would love to go to that damn store, I'd probably spend hours there. These Japan greasers are so fun and intriguing I love it.
5SOSのPVに出てるのってこの人達だったのか!
役作りかと思ったけど、本当に好きなんだね
thanks to youngblood! he really suits as a rockstar
This dude is like a living 50's fashion person, not only representing the clothing style, but living the lifestyle as best as he can!
There are millions of people still wearing 50's clothing kiddo, some people never adapt, mutate or migrate.
This is so great! I love to see how there's still rockabilly followings all over the world! It's sad he said that most of the people in Japan who follow it are older. In the U.S., the U.K., and Australia there's tons of young people getting into the style!
I became his fan after watching him in 5sos 'Youngblood' video.
Is he on Instagram?
自分の世界観を持ってる人は、カッコいい
That was great! I wish it was longer. Would love to see a documentary about the rockabilly culture and more about Johnny. Love this sooo much.
This dude is literally a Yakuza sidequest waiting to happen. Like exactly how it's presented here, not just the punk guy from 0.
Johnny on his Lupin III Part 2 shit at 1:06
Yeeaaaahhh johnny daigo!, my husband playing rockabilly too, slaras rockabilly is band name, we're living at Bandung, Indonesia.
Just like johnny, his style is his life
duh pgn punya suami yg sm2 suka rock jg😩😂
Rock never dies.
Johnny appeared in 5SOS - Youngblood with his crew mates.
This man is fuckin' awesome and I respect him!
I remember seeing the rockabilly guys around Tokyo when I lived there as a kid (I was an American expat) and being sort of freaked out by their pompadours. Now as an adult, I'm in the rockabilly/vintage/pinup community in the US!
There's always a resurgence, a swing back around, rockabilly won't ever really die. You know what they say "history repeats itself," that goes for all history
I gotta admit I love that store owner.. he’s got the spunk of a salesmen yet the cool suave vibe from a rockabilly dude... I wish I understood Japanese so I can buy and really understand Jhonnys songs.. oh well I’ll still get it and follow on social media if I can.. I’m a fan.. I’ll admit I came because of 5SOS.. and I’m sticking around because of Johnny 😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️.. I thought it was rad they included his uncle in the video too.. he’s the OG it wouldn’t be the same without him dancing..
a little after he said he needs to keep the tradition alive
4:11 the kid in the back is enjoying it.
yep, kiddo at the back lol
I feel really honored that some people from outside the USA appreciate and enjoy the US 1950's styles
i met with johnny at summer 2017, pretty chill and humble person.
and i still enjoy your CD till now, thanks forkeeping the rockabilly music alive
Rockabilly music and Greasers will never die! Greetings from Indonesia.

Japanese have such a mystical way of wording things. Be it their life perspectives, personal desires, or simply describing their day-to-day lives.

I knew Daigo Yamashita (Johnny Jeana) when he and his band (Johnny Pandora) came to Malaysia to perform a song called "Rock Me Baby" at a live concert show in the event called Art of Speed (a vehicle show event that showcasing a collection of custom cars and bikes as well with special guest appearances...that includes this guy) back in 2017. He's good that's for sure!
信念と愛でスタイルを貫く様、めちゃくちゃかっこいい。
4:50 that shot transition :O perfect, even the train!
the store keeper looks like some important side character from delinquent anime
Johnny is the main character of the song "young blood" by 5sos.
I'm really impressed and delighted, I hope rockabilly never dies 💖.
Sweden is also big on Rockabilly. a youth culture started in the 50-60 with the American Rock and roll.
Today its common for people to listen to rockabilly and cruise around in a 50s 60s American car

So so cool seeing this culture in Tokyo and seeing them getting so into it. Just makes me really appreciate how things like 50s and rockabilly culture can spread around the world and be interpreted in whatever way they see it.
Now I really am interested in Japanese rockabilly, wanna know a little bit more
男前やな〜スタイルもいいし
omagad I love the director's expression
great, good thing that the rockabilly culture is also there.
greetings from Mexico.
Just gotta say that my god is Johnny gorgeous!
I wanted to find the guy from the music video Young blood and OMGGGGGGG he is so fucking handsome like that jawline YES I FOUND HIM IM SO HAPPY😭😂😂💕💕💕
I love a man who can pull off a rockabilly look and live the lifestyle! Rock on! 🎸
Is this the guy in 5SOS Youngblood video ?? I loved him and wanted see so much more of this street dancing, epic dancing
He should star in a Rockabilly superhero movie
Totally respect his love and passion for rock n roll. You are sooo cool man.
That was fascinating
back in the 90's they dedicated an episode of Soko Ga Shiritai to this very subject. ahhhh the memories.
super cool! Love his look and style!!!
Amazing how music gets into any culture regardless!!
Awesome video👍!
Thanks for posting it!
Great video. His Youngblood video is timeless. This guy is a rock star. My dad worked with Elvis and would have hired Johnny straight up.
I absolutely love this style and I’m so happy to see it thriving.
This man just found himself in this culture, how wholesome ♥️
Whoever made the Youngblood music video definitely watched this 🎸
please make a tutorial video of Johnny's hairstyle.
I'll try it soon!
This is how I dress normally, as it's pretty common to see people who still like this style where I live (USA). I didnt know it was such a niche thing in Japan and how some people really value it. Great to see people bringing back up classic american culture!
I like his attitude he knows what is really important his life... that's awesome
I'm here after watching "Young Blood " he's very cool in the video
I felt like I was watching an anime 😂 They should seriously make an anime on him and the others 😂
Dude was born to be rockabilly, absolutely killin' it.
He’s stunning! And I absolutely love this this small subculture he’s part of.
Rock N’ Roll will never die ❤️
竹の子族は理解できなかったけど、ローラー族の人達は純粋にカッコいいと思う。
The only thing I want to know is when did rockabilly include break dancing?
Grimmsha72 😂😂😂😂😂
Hey not everyome can break dance this guys take it long way cooler
I think it’s cool. It’d be boring if they stuck to the sock hop or whatever else, instead, they’re putting their own spin on it! I can really dig it!
Also, you can not argue against a man with a pompadour like that. It’s physically impossible.
That dance is a unique Japanese culture called "HARAJUKU rock'n'roll". It was popular in Japan in the 80's.
It was funk
And this is precisely why this music and style will never die. We love you here in the states man. Phoenix has a big Rockabilly scene. You always got yerself a place here brother.

Any of us who travel to Tokyo should go to Yoyogi Park (Shibuya) and watch that show. They are pretty authentic and gentle people. Keep on rockin' !
