Yes you can but the problem with that is that you never know how much there is in it. So you could get too much or not nearly enough and you don't know it. So watch out with that. I personally use low sodium salt because that contains more iodine over here and way less sodium (Mostly potassium). I don't need much of it to get enough iodine with that.
