I write tickets for no registration, no vehicle inspection, plate infringements, and damaged tyres. Unfortunately my employer has put policies in place that limits how much the registration and inspection must be expired before I can issue, they also don't want to see negative content on social media and encourage me to walk away from situations where conflict starts. As a result I have situations where I speak with drivers when they are reasonable and encourage them to deal to the issue, but warn them that if I see the vehicle offending in future they will be issued notices. If they are not reasonable I try to take a photo of the offence and post a ticket to the registered keeper of the vehicle. I do think that the notice should be issued as soon as an offence is being identified, there is already a system in place to waive infringements if the owner gets the vehicle legal in a satisfactory time frame. Unfortunately too many people continue to make the decision to use their vehicles in an illegal manner on a daily basis.
I live in that area and the sign is like like right there. All they had to do is go up one block and make a left. Minor inconvenience but hey, everybody is doing it. I have not seen one car do it yet since the construction started.
Like my mom used to say "if everybody dropped jumped off the bridge, would you do it too?" Officer, with that attitude I would have given her ALL the citations. You're too nice. 🙏💙
It's $10 to show your proof of having insurance at the time of the stop. If they didn't have insurance at the time of the stop, then the clerk or court will levy a fine much higher than $10. It's an inconvenience fee for not having your insurance at the ready.
In Florida you have to have proof of insurance when you register so I bet when they run the plate they have insurance status in a database (many states have databases with insurance companies) so it's more or a I don't have insurance card on me ticket
The correct response, when given a $10 ticket and no points out of the possibility of hundreds of dollars in tickets plus points / insurance premium increases, is, "Thank you. I'll attend to this and pay more attention in the future."
I'm going to give you a break, Murder is usually a long prison sentence. Here's this $10 ticket for No Insurance, Follow the instructions and pay the ticket, okay??????
"And you doing the same thing they do, only to blame them for your actions when you're caught, suggests that you don't even care if it's wrong" would've been my choice of response.
I'm sure there's enough regurgitated excuses to even make randomized bingo card for them. Adds another layer of entertainment when watching these multiple traffic stops videos.
I thank you for your service Officer and applaud your judgement. I also appreciate you insuring that they get called out if they are not carrying their insurance information. We have very high rates these days because of all of the drivers who are uninsured on our roadways.
Similar situation I had recently, but in a different city. The difference? There was no sign. A request or two later to the city and they installed a sign after confirming one was supposed to be installed. Apparently, that still wasn't good enough for other people, so they installed a second sign. Now, they have added a concrete barrier because two signs wasn't enough. It's still not enough because I've watched people drive around the concrete barrier.
Coral Springs does a good job. The goal is not to just blanket the city with traffic tickets and make the police the adversaries of city residents. The goal is to educate drivers, make traffic enforcement visible. Get people to realize they’ll be stopped for infractions. If there’s a habitual offender or truly dangerous behavior tickets can and will be issued. 👍
I think being a traffic unit cop in some nice, unmarked vehicle like officer Valderrama or deputy Frank would be a job I'd do very gladly. Sadly not in the US where regular traffic stops end up in shootings or worse. Where there's overall no respect for police and pay is nowhere near adequate to what these guys have to endure on daily basis. But throwing the book on some entitled, reckless, not obeying traffic laws d bags would be a treat. And anyone driving in the states knows there are plenty of ppl like that.
@reissallan she didn't get a ticket fir not having insurance.... she git a ticket for not being able to display it upon demand if she can't prove to the courts that she had it on the day and time of the stop then it will be. A much bigger fine but the fine wasn't for not having it just not being able to show it
For everyone freaking out about the $10 insurance ticket it’s not a $10 ticket for not having any insurance it’s just a $10 ticket for failing to produce it upon request. So when they respond to the ticket they’ll have to show that they had insurance on the date and time of the stop if they can’t then the actual ticket of driving with no insurance will be levied against them. Every state has a different name for them but it’s basically a fix it ticket. In my state if a cop issues you a fix it ticket you have 10 days to get the issue fixed and then you have to drive down to the station and show the the cop or a cop from that department that you fixed the issue.
@kevinborish here's my issue with fix it tickets I've been given them b4. For a headlight out on a vehicle. I got it fixed took it up to show that I had fixed it so they would dismiss the ticket and no one came and checked to see if it had actually been fixed. They just took my word for it which does nothing to verify that the safety issue as they claim has been fixed. What's the point of them saying oh get it fixed take it up there show proof you fixed and they will dismiss it if they aren't going to veirfy that I fixed it. My point is that I couldve been lying saying I fixed it and they dismissed it with out even checking.
@@ilikeitwhatisit6749 well I wouldn’t be lying if I said some cops are lazy just like in any job. The departments around me are pretty good about actually checking.
@kevinborish you got lucky then cause the departments around here don't care enough to send any one out to check it which is why I have an issue with fix it tickets. I also have an issue with the whole well show the courts that' on this and time you had insurance if the person had it when they were stopped they should've been able to produce it. So when I go to take care of the citation and they discover that I can't show proof that I had it on that day then I'm gonna get a bigger fine. If I had it I would've shown it I don't understand what would've prevented her from showing it if she had it
@@ilikeitwhatisit6749 I get that but circumstances happen. Like I know my wife’s car is on my policy so sometimes I forget to send over to her the updated insurance card so she has it so I could see if she got pulled over that she wouldn’t have the current one but then again she could just provide the policy number from her old card and the officer can confirm its current and valid. I think cops having discretion is inportant. Imagine if a cop had to cite for every little mundane thing that could’ve just been warned for and educated on.
If Chandler, AZ PD had a RUclips channel, it would show them to do nothing. I've seen people go through red lights, tailgate, speed, speed at school zones, and construction, and they do nothing 😑
This $10 for no insurance is a joke, it literally is enabling the behavior. Why pay 600 for insurance when you can just pay 10 "if" you get pulled over.
The ticket is only $10 when they show the court proof of insurance at the time they were pulled over. The ticket is much higher if they don't have insurance.

@@ilikeitwhatisit6749 Maybe the department is just started in response to complaints from the road crew, or it's a smaller department and they are watching the area when they can. It is still not okay to do it.
