But I gotta say, the past like year, has blown me away and kind of made me embarrassed of how wary of you I was. you really are the PBS of RUclipsrs. There is such obvious good intentionality behind your channel. From how you handled the Cody ko stuff, started talking about the harms of social media (and choosing content that doesn't feed into the rage cycle), and now your commitment to small local businesses. Idk why I'm typing this really. I'm broke so I can't buy merch and I guess I just wanted to find a way to convey that like, I appreciate and value what you're doing with your channel (even if the algorithm doesn't).
Scott's dad is the true champion in all of this! Mowing a track so his son and his friends can get drunk and..run..is just beautiful. I'd love to hear how that conversation went
idk why when scott said "had we been in cars we probably would have gone to jail" my immediate thought was "haha yeah, because street racing is illegal" and then 30 seconds later it finally clicked that they were also drinking
@@astrowolvez Honestly at that pace I would imagine the alcohol becomes significantly less of a problem, since it takes a while for you to process it (a quick google offered "within 5 to 10 minutes after drinking"). At that point it's mostly just being a good mile runner who can also chug four drinks Then again I can imagine that four beers in the stomach could still be sickening even without the help of alcohol

I think that Scott is one of those creators that puts so much effort into his content and you can really tell. This kinda stuff is so enjoyable and fun to watch.

If you can run a mile in sub-4:30, you’re a really fucking good miler. If you can do that stopping to drink 4 beers in between and still clear that mark you are an actual goddamn superhuman

You could actually train for this by practicing cardio while consuming more and more liquid. After a while your stomach can get used to the amount of liquid and will result in less GI issues. That’s why the challenge works with milk too because it’s less the alcohol and more the amount of liquid
When I was younger, my neighborhood had these yearly block parties. And all the dads would do a race similar to this, except on lawn mowers. They'd drink a beer and then race around the cul de sac. Good old times 🤙
Experienced beer miler here… The beer has to be lukewarm/hot, and it has to be a crushable beer like a coors/miller lite (a lite beer is basically just water) Your strides should be long, stable and consistent in order to maintain beer in gut equilibrium. This has worked in my experiences.

You are trying to “drink” the beer and that’s not what you do. You need to open your throat / gullet and literally pour it directly into your stomach. You have to fight the gag reflex and hold your breath but it can be done.

That whispering sound in the beginning is the same bit used in the first SpongeBob movie when Mr.Crabs whispers to SpongeBob in the first couple of scenes.
You are trying to “drink” the beer and that’s not what you do. You need to open your throat / gullet and literally pour it directly into your stomach. You have to fight the gag reflex and hold your breath but it can be done.
Yes the whole time he was training at chugging I was thinking that he actually needed to be training his gag reflex instead!! I don't think that would have been very safe for youtube, though, so maybe it's for the best that he didn't lol.
Could just be a coincidence, but when Scott went "I ralphed. I hurled...and I spewed!" it had the exact cadence and delivery of a Jake and Amir sketch
