Stop being so hard on yourself Daphne. In 1982 I moved from NZ to Australia with 2 babies. My husband was already here. I understand your stresses very well. The biggest hurdles are nearly over. Praying for you all.
I was bad, lol. I really like the big flowers by Loia Gonzalez at DAC. So I now have all 4, they look big, but it is mostly blocking, when I finished the first one I was so happy, it went fast and was easy. I felt so happy while I was working on it, lol, I decided I needed to get the others. I did get some Christmas coasters, not sure how well they will actually work as coasters, but they look pretty sitting around on the tables. I am so glad that your moving plans have taken a big step forward. I'm sure it is a big relief to see stuff finally falling into place.
I can’t wait to see what you share on your new channel about your feelings toward moving! Good luck with the rest of the preparations. Sounds like things are falling into place.
I am happy to hear that you made good progress on having the roof replaced, getting rid of the larger pieces of furniture & a contract on the lot. Eliminating things on your plate will remove some of the stress. I look forward to the content on your new channel. I haven’t purchased any diamond paintings since mid-September; haven’t seen any as a “must have”. I am waiting for Black Friday & Cyber Monday. I have a lot of DAC rewards to use up by April 2025. I changed my buying habits to a must vs want. I have plenty in my stash. Trying to do a destash.
Love your beginner series ❤ I would really like to see what you do with the drills when you kit down. I am old and brain dead half the time, so if you have a video on that I must have missed it. 😅 I have made my own box but it isn’t very good and I’m running out of room, go figure 😂 I’m really excited about your new series and can’t wait to see your adventures. Just take it easy and try not to stress out too much. Easy for me to say huh?😮 I wish you all the best on your move and face time with your Daughter as much as you can. I did that when my daughter and grandbabies were in Texas and felt much better. I love you and can’t wait for your travel videos. Love, Theresa p.s. sorry for the rattling along so much 😂❤️❤️
Congratulations on all your progress, Daphne!! To answer your question, the only things I’ve purchased recently are advent kits - two from the UK: one by from Diamond Art Studio (a cross stitch conversion woodland scene revealed in 24 “doors”) and the set of 4 small paintings from Add More Zest. The third one I bought was from Craftpack Canada! So every day in December, I will have three kits to do work on! Regarding purchasing, I have been a little pickier lately, as my stash has exceeded the room I have for it. One exercise I am in the process of doing is organizing a Destash - just gathering information so far, but what that does for me is make me realize how those paintings that I HAD to have, have changed over the years. I will post my it on the Canadian Destash sites at some point before the end of the year. I thought I had a big list, but it was about one quarter of my stash. Like you, I budget carefully and spend what I am able, and have put aside a chunk for Black Friday, but if I don’t spend it, that’s okay. Good luck to you as you make final preparations to come to our lovely country! As you know, I’m from Ontario, but I recently completed a “fall leaf cruise“ and spent some time in New Brunswick (where I was born), as well as the other Maritime provinces and Quebec. Have a great week! ❤️from 🇨🇦 (PS I posted this earlier but it disappeared, likely because I inadvertently put in a website)
@@susanh9950 I don’t think I will do a destash, but I definitely will be much pickier about what I buy after packing up everything for the move! I feel the same - I have $ to spend, but if I don’t see any ‘must haves’ I am okay hanging on to it. Thanks for watching!!
Congrats on the lot and roof. Wanting your daughter closer doesn't make you a bad mom. It makes you a mom. Not working on my WIP, I'm getting ready for work.
I'm sooo excited to finally start my kit for the event. ❤😊 I've not watched your new series as I buy budget diamond painting kits. I know you are able to buy the more expensive kits. If I was a brand new diamond painting the series would be perfect but I've been diamond painting for a year now. I would bx interested if you made a video about framing the completed diamond paintings. It's only natural that you'll be feeling in a low ebb right now Daphne. I hope the move will go well and that your daughter ends up moving to be with you all. Take care. ❤
I'm excited for you and your upcoming move! Take time to rest both your body and mind, sweetie. This, too, shall pass. There will come a time when all the moving will be done. So try to enjoy the ride! Love you!❤
Glad you have got the lot and roof sorted. A big weight off your shoulders. You made good progress on the canvas. Im slow and don't multi place yet. Im on a DAC canvas called black and white.one of four iv bought last month. Takecare 😊
I love the dp for beginners series. Are you planning on a video about spare drill storage? I just revamped mine and am interested in what others are doing. I purchased clear drawers in sets of 4, ended up with 3 sets split between the square and round. I also purchased a set of dmc numbers and a sticker set - I actually like the sticker set better because I could adjust the size of the cardstock part to fit the space. I had to re-cut the purchased ones. I kept all the special drills separate and used my artdot drawers for them. It was fun to set it all up and kitting down is so much easier. On new kits - I wasn't going to purchase anything this month. Then they had the Odie - guardian of the garden and I had to have that one so I got it saying to myself no more. Then I was on amazon and saw the new Lorenz paintings and put them in my cart but didn't finish the order. Until I saw an unboxing of them.... ugh so yes I got 3 more, but they are small. I was originally on amazon to purchase a rolling pin for rolling my paintings. I first got a wooden one with a handle - it's ok, but wasn't thrilled with it so I found a granite one - it's small and has a handle. I LOVE that thing. lol I'd be interested in a video on what you use or if you think it's necessary... lol great video! congrats on all the changes in your life. Moving sucks but the end result is what we look forward to. It's got to be a huge relief to have a chunk of your to do list marked off. Hopefully the rest will fall into place nice and easy.
I don't know yet if I will revamp my spare storage. I want to, but am just not sure when I can fit it in. As for what I use, you can check out this video: ruclips.net/video/gsjZ_ClaSwQ/видео.html Everyone's needs are different, but hopefully the video can help with figuring out what works for you. Running out of colors and not understanding dac shorting drills . Lucky I have found enough colors in my storage . Maybe NOT exactly the same color . Close enough for me .
