What a fascinating case! 👍 It's clear that Germaine wasn't the brightest spark. How ever did she hope to get away with such a clumsy murder! The idea she was given brief notice at 4am on the very day of her execution kind of unnerves me. Same-day executions happen in Japan to this day. Two inmates who are actually suing the government for compensation, claiming this practice to be "extremely inhumane" and something that greatly affects the mental health of prisoners as they have no chance to contemplate the end of their lives and prepare for it! They live in fear that every day might be their last! They can't even see family (who are only told AFTER the execution).
