Your next big scam: re-upload a video, they won't notice
Yeah, watched a little bit of this video the last time it was uploaded, but couldn't finish it, and later when the tab reloaded, it was marked as private.
Yep! We had to sort out some attribution concerns, but I’m glad we could get this back online quickly
@@BryceCastillo And here I thought it was a Groundhog's Day joke.
This re-upload is a classic example of Cole’s Law.
I'll admit it, I was obsessed with calculators throughout my school years, and during the trick I thought, "well, surely he can just retrieve the history" (as you can do on Android and lots of dedicated calculators). I wasn't aware that's how it works on an iPhone (never used one), though.
how to retrieve it on android?
@@utube3156 I realized the calculator app might be different depending on what Android phone you have, but on Samsung there is a small clock symbol above the C button. I would look for any clock symbol, usually tapping that pulls up the calculation history.
@@idogtv thank u
Ahhh, a classic, break into someone’s phone so you can ruin their RUclips recommendations with videos of lawnmowers and turnip farmer vlogs.
my skill levels must have increased watching all these videos...i knew their pin numbers right from the start ;)
As an ANDROID user, the calculator app has a HISTORY function that gives you the ability to see the last math problems you solved on the calculator.
I checked out the calculator app after watching this video and was bummed that it wasn't like the iphone one. It took me a bit to find the history part of the app.
I'm not sure what phone you have but the HISTORY function ( a 🕒) is right upfront and you can just click on it.
On the calculator app on my phone it's really simple to find the history swipe down on the box or the numbers are and it just opens a big long history that you can scroll through.
@@ilichiregius2884 It's a simple drag down on the standard droid app, but I usually use a "proper calculator" app and it simply doesn't work on that.
For my android, I can just slide my finger down and the box where the numbers will slide down with your finger and show the history. I don't even have to tap the 3 dots to go into the history mode.
Woulda messed it up had they hit all-clear instead of just clear.
I’ve been screwed over by the calculator pulling up past inputs and messing up my calculations enough times that I just spam the All Clear all the time now, just to be sure.
yeah that's why this isn't a 100% working trick
I feel like I’m having a deja vu... meh, I’m probably wrong
You’re not wrong! Lol
No i'm pretty sure this episode already happen.
This video is a glitch in the Matrix
@@MGD313 Mandela effect. Lol. But I’m not going to watch it again just to see what is different! Lol
I always like to say "I don't mean to be condescending, that's where I talk down to you, but....." About half the people catch my condescending explanation.
Best twist would have been if he actually took his phone back from him a second time after learning the trick, and actually managed to open it.
On Android, drag down on the top digit display to view the history.
Just guessing, but I am assuming this was re-uploaded because they independently rediscovered an idea that had already been published and they needed to give crediting
We did get a lot of comments previously letting us know of a concern with sourcing this technique, but thankfully everyone involved feels good about it!
I was thinking the same thing but I didn’t want to sound weird
Why is a marketed effect being revealed on here :(
Great trick. Scam shool and Diamond Jim rocks 👍
Note to self: double-click the clear button on the calculator
This is an old trick that one of my fav when i has no nothing like card straw paper..phone is the thing..and you set to go..pretty convincing
DJT always delivers with beyond simple, beautifully executed trickery. 🔥
On android, the calculator has a "history" button, so this trick would work, but since it's actually just a button on the app more people might know how you did it (though a lot of people I've met with android phones didn't know this, so it's still worth a shot)
Also the passcode thing might not work on androids too because while you CAN do a number passcode, a lot of people I know (including myself) set a pattern you have to swipe to unlock your phone, and you don't have to have a number passcode as a backup
You don't even need to find the history button on android, if you just slide down on the number display it shows you the previous operation, and if you slide it down again it shows you the full history. You need to clear the history to get rid of this, of course. So, if you quickly slide down, check the numbers, and slide back up to hide them again, it works, and it's significantly easier (IMO) than that weird hit equals and clear again thing on the iphone.
@@jacobbissey9311 Absolutely, the only problem with doing it this way is the person might know of the history function in their calculator
@@jacobbissey9311 It depend on the model really. On my android swiping doesn't work but there is a "history" button. And I do mean the word "history" that you need to press on.
some calculator apps (including calculator apps on a stock Android phone) won't have any history at all, nor operation repeat. There is literally no way -not even an obvious way- for it to work _at all_ on some calculator apps.
In this version I think from calculated thoughts-he should have discreetly looked up his phone number and predicted that
I'm confuse at to what difference is there in this video compared to the one already uploaded. Didn't notice much of a difference if any. Was it the mention at the end?
So for Android if you get the phone back after equals is hit you can drag down and look at the history of the calculations briefly and then swipe back up and hand it back.
Love it 😍
Yeah so I tried this on my Pixel 6 pro, and it definitely doesn't work with the default calculator app. You would have to go into the history somehow and that's more clicks.
Why is it re-uploaded?
"You're a con artist and he's Coleslaw!" 😭😭
FYI, the "=" button thing doesn't work on the calculator on my Android phone, but it _does_ have an entire history you can look at by swiping down on the top.
Does this still work I've tried it on 3 different iphones and it won't work
On Android you pull down from the top of the calculator screen and it will show the last equation. Just look at the second number and that's the passcode
To be exact, it works with any calculator. It has nothing to do with iphone calc, or with retrieving the last typed number. The equal sign when clicked in succession will compute the last operation. So basically the calculator is doing 0 + pin number. Since + pin number is the last operation in memory. If equal is clicked again it will double the pin number.
No. It still depends on the calculator for that functionality to occur. It's just not an _exclusive_ quirk of the iPhone calculator, but many other calculators will not do this.
@@MsHojat You can do that with a physical one. I did that in statistics in my class in the 80s. Come on.
My Android calculator app (RealCalc) doesn't do it, I just checked.
Just checked, it doesn't work on my android, but there is one other safety I have, as there is a clock button that you can press for history to do the same thing.... Loud clicky buttons.
Updated version where u never touch or see their phone and no app either
On Android is even easier all you have to do is slightly swipe down that give the history swipe up to get rid of the history
It doesn't show the last number that was typed.
When you press the = it repeats the last activity you did (which was adding the secret number).
Since you just pressed clear, it adds the secret number to 0.
Had you instead of pressing clear, would have typed 1, then after pressing the = you would get your secret number plus 1...
Or if you continue to press = it will continue adding the secret number over and over with every pressing.
Why not get them to clear the answer and then lock their phone. The calculator can still be accessed by swiping down from the top right, open it, tap the equals, gain the info, clear once again and then lock the phone. Now openly divine their number and enter it one digit at a time in front of them.
10:43 it's Brian going down a flight of stairs
Coleslaw has infected you!
Just tried this trick. They did not put their passcode into the calculator and said, "I'll use a different random number" which was their brother's birthday lol
Been doing this trick for years. Hate when they don't put in actual code.
Re-upload?
For android there's usually a history button on top that shows the last equation.
Android calculator has history under the three dots
Doesnt work with a 6 digit lock code with 1 or 2 leading zeroes
"This guy gave me 1337 but it doesn't go anywhere!"
Did you re-release this video? I swear i saw it a week or so ago…
Is this video re-posted?
"know youve been doing your banking on there"
shows 2
On an android there is a history tab
This is codebreaker by Greg Wilson. Why is this being revealed on here??
Why the reupload?
Very cool 😎
I've seen this before.
Didn’t we already see this video??? 😳
I'm having déjà vu all over again
Deja Vue? I've seen this before...
Didn't you already post this?
re upload?
why did you guys upload this video twice ?
Reupload?
Good fun!
This works on all calculators. Hitting "=" does the last operation.
It doesn't not work on all calculator no. In my android, the "C" button clear all the operation stored in memory. Pressing = after pressing "C" would do nothing since there is nothing to repeat. The last operation are still available in the history list though. But that's hardly impressive as in my model, the history is accessible through an "history" button.
On my phone, you can scroll down for a history so that was my theory.
Even if they close the phone after they hit clear, the last number will still show up.
You posted this a week or so ago. Why the re post?
Hey it's the 2nd best DJT.
Android has a clock (history) button right above the clear button. Click on click off, 1 thumb, very fast
Cool😮
Why he calls him coleslaw?
lol was this re uploaded because it is groundhogs day? lol
Didn't work on my Android phone.
Should have done the other version of the trick. "Can I see your phone?" Then you just get up and leave with their iphone...
Isn’t this a repost?
Damn
I've saw this.
I'm having serious deja vu. I've seen this way before today. Am I the only one?
Nope. I saw it too.
It's idea of Gregory wilson
I'm somehow glad that scam doesn't work on my Samsung.
No that’s not a random number
Somebody screwed up Brian. Take this down and put the new content.
I guess it doesn’t work anymore
Why not just call it the Eight-Hour Meow/Cricket instead of Infinite? Eight hours is legitimately a long time, and it's honest.
I know people are dumb, but playing into that marketing just reinforces the idea that people are supposed to be dumb anyway and moves us nowhere as a society.
Wow, that was... incredibly super fucking lame. I mean, I thought he just swiped down (or up, idk, I use Android) to access history, but this was only sightly less lame than expected.
re re reupload, lover of the russian queen
It was a shame how they get along.
🍻
- 👍 👍 🔧 -
wait, iPhone calculators don't just show you the history?
Can tell. Doesn't work on Android. (Or at least Samsung.)
I'd like to reiterate that it doesn't work the way it's done in the video. I know of the history button
who
I expected it to be something about the fingerprint smudges on the screen, and he could somehow see the order in which they were pressed.
Or the classic math trick: _some_number_ +important_number _-some_number_ = important_number
( _some_number_ is the same both times, but symbolizes a convoluted way of making that number )
