The Fröling FHG 20kW boiler in the video is paired with a 1500L pressurized buffer tank. We find that 1500 to 3000L buffers work well for the range of Fröling firewood boilers. The largest boiler will output 50 kW of heat so you can heat up a buffer quite quickly. However, a properly designed heating system will send heat to any space heating demand prior to heating the buffer. This is all sounds great but eleven thousand dollars for the unit is just way large for my blood.
