It's great to see these short tutorials coming right from the source! Also: the narration is fantastic! I could listen to this angelic voice on and on :) Keep'em coming! I'll try to bring more eyeballs here.
Do you plan to extend the MIDI editor a little more? Would be nice to have scales/chords/arpeggios mode, humanization of velocity and timing and so on. :) Thanks!
so... I'm a .NET developer (been for 10 years) and I can't figure out how to get the general midi instrument to show the midi editing view lol, can't say it's intuitive at the moment. I know it's user error, and I know I'll eventually love Ardour, going to stick with it. I want to ditch windows for Pop_OS, tired of seeing news and ads in my operating system. I'm exploring Pop and Ardour atm. I'll keep poking around.
just figured it out loooooooool. I accidentally double clicked while the up-down resize cursor was showing. Didn't realize how I did it at first, then accidentally resized it back down, then manually dragged it out. Makes sense now, so simple in hindsight, but like the video doesn't cover how to get the actual midi grid to appear. Time to sequence some space farts.

Official Ardour Tutorials? Colour me excited!
I'm happy to see more Ardour videos rolling out! Quick and to the point I love it!
Midi-Drawing is such a nice feature! I'm starting to dive into making music using Ardour, it also works with the Kontakt Engine!
Hello, Paul. Please make the "MIDI editor" floating!
im confused, where is the midi piano drawing place????, HELP ME PLEASE💀
It's right on the canvas. See e.g. prokoudine.github.io/ardour-tutorial/en/recording/recording-midi/

There's definitely more work to do on MIDI editing, that's for sure. Convenient velocity editing is work in the progress.
