Travis as a kid loved going to six flags astroworld when he was little in Houston but they took it away in 1998. As a result he wanted the listener to feel like also which is why the album gets progressively darker like you’re slowly pulling away a theme park from a kid
That makes complete sense to me now because I for sure noticed the album shifting as it went on. Exactly how you put it.

*HOUSTONFORNICATION* is still my favorite song on the album. A quintessential Travis song, and so underrated too.

5 years later: Stargazing, rip screw, no bystanders, astrothunder, and houstonfornication
I had to limit it to top 5 otherwise I would’ve just said every track is amazing. This album has aged so well and I still play it a lot to this day (even with the release of utopia!).
the more underrated songs became your favorite overtime, same for me they grew on me, especially houstonfornication and astrothunder

The name name of the album Astroworld came from an amusement park in Houston where Travis would go as a kid before it got shut down. It honestly fits the album so well considering how much people describe the album as a roller-coaster. My first favorites were sicko mode, Stop trying to be God, Cant say because of Don Toliver and Astrothunder. Overtime my new favorites have been Houstonfornication, Coffee bean, RIP Screw, and still Astrothunder.
It was a truly a "You had to be there" moment
I wish I could go back and listen to this album for the 1st time again. Travis been my favorite artist since 2014, when he dropped Days Before Rodeo. When I heard Stargazing for the first time, I knew this album was gonna be legendary 🙌🏽

All songs are legendary
upon first listen i really liked Stargazing and Can’t Say. Something about Don Toliver’s voice was just captivating to me. now my favorites have to be Stargazing, still, as well as Skeletons, which is now my favorite Travis Scott song of all time. i really love the vibe and the spacey-ness of the song, especially with the production and the mixing on the vocals.
On 1st listen: Stargazing, Sicko Mode, 5% Tint, Butterfly effect, No Bystanders

On my first listen i went crazy about sicko mode, all the beat switches, drake's feature, swae lee hidden feature, everything about that track.
Astrothunder grew on me so much, i first thought it was the worst song on the album, and now i think its one of the best
Right now, i listen the most to wake up and stop trying to be god, such amazing songs.
Also, i would love to see a Utopia reaction, i think you will like the album
Even though sicko mode is so overplayed and not best track for me, its still without a doubt one of best songs for first listens, really love the element of surprises on that track so many wtf moments in a good way.
I think Utopia is so intresting you have to listen to it.

The whole project was meant to give the impression of a theme park in all the twisted production and beat changes. Every track had its own special vibe and tone like Carousel 🎠 and Butterfly Effect 🦋. Coffee Bean stuck with me the hardest cause it’s like the come down from all the crazy spectacle stuff and it’s like you’re walking out of the theme park at the end of a great day. 🎈
This was the first album I fully listened through front to back and it’s SO good

Ive seen ur reactions to weeknd albums. The song “wake up” was originally for my dear melancholy but abel gave it to travis for Astroworld. I could never see it fitting on weeknds album tbh considering the vibe of it😂

Utopia now has the features listed after the first week with no features listed so you don’t have to worry about that.
I would recommend trying to leave the features a surprise. The feeling of someone new coming onto the song in a completely unpredictable way just excites me so much. Just a suggestion, but great reaction
It usually works very well when you know the artists that are featured. I feel like for Utopia there'll be a handful that she'll recognise but overall it may not be as exciting

Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight is a 2016 album by Travis, you should really listen to that one too at some point. You don't need to listen to it before Utopia though

Well, I did say at the start I did hear it one other time about two years ago!! But only once and I forgot it…oops 😬😬😬
It's not the acceptable take but this is my favorite Travis Scott album. I think Rodeo has higher highs but Astroworld is a more consistent quality range that helps me feel less whiplash when I get to the "bad" songs on it and it helps me complete listens more often
