Buying an AE86 for under 1k. Cheapest AE86 buy in 2020!

Bought an AE86 for less than 1k this year. Just a shell but it's still a pretty good deal given the inflated prices of these vehicles lately. Looking forward to doing a restoration / street build on this AE86.

Love to see these things about being restored but how they even end up like this? like alot of AE86s get abandoned like throwing these things to getting rusted and busted.

Yeah I think they end up as restoration projects but then become unfinished. A lot of people build them and then just part out too. So sad to see these cars being destroyed.

I don't understand you had a complete/running Ae86 hatchback and sold that to offbeat and now you're starting from scratch after prices on these car has skyrocket? That Ae86 you sold was a solid foundation to your restoration. Boy, do you have a lot to learn.

craigslist is dead but where you can find older people who still sell them. Offerup. Facebook market places. Facebook groups for AE86s. but I say be patient, you will eventually find a good deal.
