They know Chovy is the best mid laner ever and tried to find any way to protect their idol, Faker, by ridiculing Chovy for only csing. But they never watched Chovy's games. Chovy does not get enough resources or spends a lot of time csing. He just misses the fewest cs out of any player, thus always being able to gather these big leads. You can see it in the laning phase where neither mid laner generally roams, and he always has anywhere from 5 to 20 cs lead at 10 minutes, just because he is the best. Later on, you can see that he leaves waves for his ADC mostly, which if he took, he would have like an extra 20 cs at the end of each game to generate even bigger cs leads, but he doesn't because he indeed is more of a team player that many others. He doesn't even farm many jungle camps to set his jungler behind as others would have you think. He just farms what is needed without setting his AD or jungler behind, but people keep malding about it just because he is the best. He evolved his playstyle a lot during his DRX days, where he was forced to play things like TF and Galio who generally prioritize macro play and roaming over solo lane domination. Guess what. He was the best at roaming with those champions, while also being able to smash the laning phase with those chamions at the same time. He was being ridiculed for just being a farmer and that his playstyle doesn't work because he doesn't have any titles, and now that he is finally on a good team, he has b2b LCK titles, while also having 4/4 Worlds appearances where he qualified to semis, yet people would have you think that he is just a farm bot. Obviously haters, who probably don't even watch games and only look at stats.
I think it's fair to include champions from other roles that counter ahri like Nautilus or Vi who have strong lock down potential so she can't do what she wants all the time. Tank compositions in general are a strong weakness of hers iirc.

Tanks can lock her down but that doesn't necessarily mean they counter her. That's what they're supposed to do but Chovy neutralizes that because of Everfrost for the tankiness and additional stun and Banshee's for the shield and MR without having to compromise Ahri's AP output. Because of her true dmg she can even run Mercs with the set. She and Veigar can get away with building defensive without sacrificing their damage ratios and sadly that's why they're bound to be nerfed yet again.

Zombie ward is great. Vision trumps all other benefits the rune trees could offer. Zombie helps you go beyond your inherent max wards by using enemy wards as your own. Great rune.
diana used to be kinda hard to go up against but diana mid isnt really a thing anymore so thats good, i still love the ahri lb matchup, its lb sided but if you play well you can win it
i think its a combination of the auto attack animation, and the fact that there is a lot of pink in each of the abilities in this skin. so it can be harder to tell when the charm is coming out. and i think catseye is probably just his favorite chroma. but i could be wrong.

I once got stomped hard by a Syndra while trying to learn Ahri. Felt like I had no chance. It was a normal game around D2 / master MMR so it's not like we don't know the game. I couldn't play the game to say the least

Probably because Zed can follow Ahri(even with her ult) pretty easily, and if he dodges her E she's doomed. As for Lissandra, her ult is target and completely immobilizes Ahri, rendering her useless if she doesn't use cleanse.

The clip is viral because normally against an enemy holding to a wall while running away, that return Q would be impossible, as Ahri needed to be within the wall for it to return through Jayce. But since Ahri R and flash, specifically at the right time, it followed a more curved path and did manage to hit the Jayce. Given its not the craziest play, but no one watching it, including Jayce, expected it.
I just don't understand both the Everfrost & the CD boots (except for Liss). Why would you take that on every matchup? D: I don't know what's the theory behind... or why it should be "META". Cc chain for teamfights. Also, unless your fed ahri can't one shot in a single combo. Everfrost provides more time for your q and w to come back up (and cdr also helps) so you can solo kill.

Ahri's W will target the last champion got hit by her autos or her E first so you have to mix in an auto before using her W If not the W will target the nearest low health enemies (which usually the minions)

Assassin part is overestimated Even in the video it is visible that Chovy is having slow fights with enemies, aka going through 2-3 rotations of his spells, fighting with the team or killing low HP enemies Ahri does everything well but she deals no damage and not even close compared to the assassins
don’t forget ahri can e flash since ulting and using e is predictable and she has amazing lethal with ignite in lane, chovy plays on pro scene wich is NOT the same with soloq, don’t forget copying chovy won’t make you good as him since the game he plays on that scene is completely different than soloq
not so tough after MSI, hun, smart boy Chovy🙄, matched with the real opponent this time. this dude is like every other dude, matching with low elo boosters getting far ahead in the game, the dude got used to it, then is hard pumped/smashed by real opponent at Worlds who do not give any window of opportunity, then the dude is lost not knowing what to do, he never played any game where he did not get significant advantage fed to him in game. suddenly he never land any critical skill/dmg as he used to do, the opponent in return, hit him like a truck. the fricking management is clueless, thinking this dude, like all other dude that is out there, is a good player, they have no clue, not knowing the player status is inflated by boosted feeders.
This really made me question everything on one hand, chovy is so clean, and it makes everything looks so beautiful. on the other, christ i have a lot to work on 🥲

In pro, Ahri’s often used against Vi to ult/flash to pull her out of position when she ults Ahri, Naut and Thresh do annoy Ahri a fair bit though.

Viktor counters Ahri very hard during laning phase. She can't out-trade Viktor's burst due to how fast he can disengage with Q and poke with E.
