I was one of about 5 white kids that lived in this 200+ student housing.. i was just learning guitar and my Neighbor , this bad ass Black dude from Newark would hear me play that opening riff and said "Thats my intro music, Whenever you hear me walking down the hall. play that shit"
i got a 2 disk cd of "room for squares" from the local library, and the "acoustic" version on disk #2 was a little different. the drums & bass guitar were still there, but the electric guitar was replaced by the acoustic guitar. played the exact same tab, though. disk #2's tracklist was as such: 1. epk. - an intimate session with john mayer 2. back to you (acoustic) 3. no such thing (acoustic) 4. lenny (stevie ray vaughan cover) (live) 5. the wind cries mary (jimi hendrix cover) (live)
In their defence, Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene have tunes which are recorded in teh studio with applause and crowd noises dubbed on, its quite a cool effect actually. But yeah, this is live: you can hear its recording the vocals coming out of speakers... And this tune is a TUNE. top notch! :D

Dan Deleon thanks for your kind comments, I know the sound quality is not great that is because all the songs on this channel were recorded on an iPhone at live gigs / open mics. This is effected by the quality of the hosts equipment, the noises from the crowds and the limits of the iPhone recording ability, That does not make for brilliant recordings but it does show Josh’s ability to produce a watchable performance dispute the difficulties.
