I had the exact same issue on My Cascadia Freightliner. I checked the thickness of my power cable feeding my Original Harness. If its similar thickness to the wires on the new after market radio then this eliminates this as the issue. I tested both wires coming from harness. The Ignition wire and the constant battery wire were mislabeled. They were switched. I used a volt meter to identify the ignition cable by turning on the key = 12 volts minimum. I turned off the key then Volt meter read = 0, the constant Battery wire on the harness read 12v always whether the ignition key was on or off. By Reversing the wires- it solved the issue of Radio turning Off when Volume was raised.
@@deeralph561 no not yet I can’t figure it out. I checked the fuses and everything is fine but it’s still short circuits. My stock deck is working great it’s just the aftermarket ones. I’m on my fifth stereo at this point.
Bro explained everything except the name of the harness and slid everything that didnt have anything to do with the radio in the description NIGHA I DONT NEED NO FACIAL CREAM I NEED THE NAME OF THE HARNESS 😤
I used the nails worked perfectly thanks brother
Great video where could I get the wiring harness I’m going to put a aftermarket radio on my freightliner cascadia I don’t want to cut the wires
Where’s the parts “description”. You have bunch but none are the connectors.

Don't ever touch my radio push the button stop pulling it open
Great video, bad links
Nice video bro, I installed mine on 2013 cascadia but the radio turns on and off by it self, do you know why?
I got the same problem on my 2017
Have you fixed the issue?
@@deeralph561 no not yet I can’t figure it out. I checked the fuses and everything is fine but it’s still short circuits. My stock deck is working great it’s just the aftermarket ones. I’m on my fifth stereo at this point.
The problem is it over heats. You’ll need a Heavy Duty radio to fix that problem
Mine does the same I was told you would have to run speaker wires from the stereo to the speakers
What is the wire harness model number?
The correct model number is Metra 70-1784 for the 2012 Cascadia, and no wires needed to be switched around.
Is that harness the same for a 2016?
I get my removal tools from Walmart
Appreciate it 👍🏾
Weldone sir
