I know I’m a little late to this video but your setup for the tech stuff is awesome. I haven’t seen anything else like it. Your setup here is by far my favorite on YT.
Sucked down the RUclips rabbit hole and just stumbled across this. All I have to say is sometimes you just need a quality of life improvement to make it yours and make your truck just a bit more livable. Happy to see it all work out
I'm not a truck driver but I work in a logistics department of a beverage company so Im fairly familiar with trucking. I've showed this vid to some of my haulers friends who drives European and Japanese tractor heads. And they're grinning with envy on how spacious and almost home-like american trucks are. Great vid man. Thanks for the share
had a light weigh international pro star 2014 and i gave up trying to keep it clean after every night I'd stop and the doors would have bounced open and half my shit would tumble out
When I started out in 1993, I had a 1979 International B model cabover with a 32 inch coffin bunk (with no ac) an AM/FM tape player and a uniden cb. I thought I was the king of the world.
Hahahaha, yep. Right around that time I was a swamper on a local route. Also an international cab-over, but no sleeper. AM/FM with a cassette deck. Rough ride but the view was nice.
Nice job!! I’d stared in 1985, it was different, cab over Pete, big sleeper, I wish I had pictures, had a 2000 wats inverter, tv mount was in the passenger right corner of the bunk, 9” tv👍😆 mini oven and mini 110v refrigerator!! Now it’s very convenient!! Congratulations
Gosh, I need this set up and hanging things on the fridge like that! So smart! I've been looking for a way to properly organize. I drive tanks and man those roads are terrible. Had the microwave glass table open the door and land on the floor one day. Didn't break thankfully.
With a tank, where you're going, you don't need roads 🤣😂🤣😂 I now stuff a small throw pillow in the microwave. Keeps the glass plate from rattling and from doing what happened to you. And since it's only $3,when it absorbs too many odors, I just replace it 😁👍
i have 40" tv on my 2018 freightliner. i installed thetv mount on the holes of window. fits perfectly and enjoy large screen watching netflix and other channels
I sleep on the other side as well. I like to have a nightstand too. Also on the other side the AC and heat blows directly on your face with very little adjustment available.
this the truck I would love to drive long haul. Otherwise OTR is a painful experience for me. Wow. Well organized. Out of my imagination. I never thought like this someone could do. Thank you
Technology keeps on evolving, now you can get a wireless HDMi adapter that plugs into your TV and you can screen your movies from your phone or tablet 😉 I always like these videos it gives me some ideas for getting my mess together. 😀
Dude that watch idea is genius, totally gonna set my charger up like that, you can even read the watchface from bed! I have my Wii and laptop set up similarly but instead of a tv, I pipe the Wii into the laptop and the laptop screen to an oculus quest headset. That way I can lay in bed with my vidya and feel like I'm playing on a theater screen. A $40 capture card does the trick just fine and I've even modeled my truck space in VR
Nice set up...you youngsters have no clue about the struggle we had back in the day.... I'm 51...started in 92.... almost 4 million miles now... If make it to 62yrs old...(which I should)... I hope to hit 5 Million Safe Miles!! We shall see....good luck my man..... it's daaaamnn fun when your young no doubt about it
I'm only 3 years behind you on age, but WAY behind you on trucking experience. I was a swamper in 92 so I have some idea, yet not really. Thanks for paving the way.
I've had a 32 inch smart TV in my 5 different trucks I've had since 2016. I made my own mount as to not have to drill any holes for an actual mount. I have 2 shower curtain rods lengthwise connected to the back screw mounts by conduit C clamps. After extending the rods to back wall of truck and cabinet wall I used a metal hose clamp on the rod to prevent it from slipping loose. My company for the last year has struggled with bad trailer recaps so the cab shaking was outrageous. 4 years it always stayed put. Until the recent shaking. So I added 2x4 to the walls boring holes halfway through for the rods to connect to. I want to upgrade my TV but waiting to get new model truck layout to make sure what will fit. I'm thinking I can definitely go with a 42 inch next time. I'm interested in the size of your microwave though. I've got the smallest 0.6 cu ft version that just lays on the platform in the older model freightliner. Wondering if it's going to fit in that spot when I move to it likely this October.
I'm trying to picture it all but coming up short. Sounds like it'd be a good idea though. Do you have any pics or vids of it that you have shared somewhere? I'd love to see it.
What kind of mount did you use on your 43 inch TV? Thanks! I'm really interested in this. Btw thank you JJ! I watched for the mirror idea! I've been trying to figure that out. However, I love the paper towel holders!
@@ellennewell6732 just a basic walmart one or something. You just use the window screws. I drive a t680 now though and my TV mount alone fits a 32inch.
JJ what type of adhesive did you use to attach the mirror? I'm having problems finding stuff that sticks to the rough texture of the closet and cabinet doors. Thanks!!
I've completed my 50k, still on my trainer's truck. I'm on the list and I'm hoping for a Freightliner. Love the name of the GPS, that's hilarious. You've set that truck up nicely.

Awesome video, im kind of the same way with my truck. But my systems are not as refined as you, but as far as the tv goes, in the cascadia you can fit a 40 inch tv. Ive got one in mine, you get a standard household mount and mount it with the bolts for that bunk window
Looks good. I too like nightstand area. What I ended up doing is, I removed the little useless eyeglass holder right under the HVAC controls. Then I build a wood box inside the main closet. Added a few lights to finish it off. Then I mounted a 43” tv at the foot of the bed.
Wow, great idea. Do you have any pics of it posted anywhere? I'd love to see it. Something to think about for my next truck. You're right, that small compartment is absolutely useless.
great setup...consider getting some child protective electrical plug inserts for your multiplug cords...it keeps the dust and various do-dads out...Keep On Truckin !!!

hey guy, stumbled across your video. I drive a truck myself, liked some of your mods. And yes a 32 inch tv will fit in your truck. I know, I have one in mine. A little big but it fits. I have a swing down mount mounted to the bottom of the top bunk and just swing it up when not in use. I recommend the Samsung 32 inch model Q50R. I wanted a tv that could do 1080p But I found most 32 inch tvs only do 780p. The Q50R actually does 4k resolution. it's the only 32 inch I found that does 4k resolution. Would go killer with your X box games if your x box can do 4k resolution. The down side, it's EXPENSIVE. A little over 500 and for that money you can buy a 55 inch 4k tv But now that I have it it's worth Every Penny. My next and final big project is going to be a adjustable bed frame and nice mattress. the bed space in my truck will fit a twin xl perfect. Just got to figure out how to get in in the truck. Some models come shipped folded in half and you just unfold the frame once you unbox it. Also some models are what they call zero clearence which means the Frame will sit right on top of the mattress plywood support and you don't have to worry about clearance with the motors that raise and lower the head of foot portions. They even come with massage features. lol Going to pull the trigger on one soon. And it's going to be Sweet man. being able to raise the head of the mattress to watch tv or play on my laptop. Really surprised other truckers don't have them in their rigs. if you want pictures of my tv setup or bed setup when I get it installed let me know... Anyway, liked the video. keep rolling and stay safe. Tim tfrederick004@gmail.com
That sounds really cool! Let me know how it goes. One issue to keep in mind is that the higher the mattress is, the harder it will be to raise the bunk to get under it. When I upgraded to a thicker mattress, I had a very hard time raising the bunk at all. In fact, I almost ended up getting rid of that mattress. Turns out I ended up getting rid of the truck instead lol. I'm in a Peterbilt now which has a wider bed so I can use the same thick mattress and it actually works out perfectly fine.
Excellent, glad I could help. I just got a new truck, BTW, so be sure to check that out, too. I'll be doing the same style video once I get fully moved in, with some new ideas. My new truck. ruclips.net/video/5sueRQ8euA0/видео.html
I'd say get the degree, especially if you're close to getting it. It's always good to be educated, even in trucking. Especially in trucking if you want to grow a business out of it.
Nice job on truck and video. I would love to do some of these things but I work for Werner. They take and resale our trucks once you hit 400000 miles. With the miles I drive, they put me in a new truck about every 3 and half to 4 years. Time flies when you work 70hrs per week. Keep up the videos!!! Happy trucking.

They even come with massage features. lol
Going to pull the trigger on one soon.

Liked and subscribed! I will be attending school and hopefully going over the road myself soon and this was very informative! Thanks JJ!
Right on AC. Welcome to my channel. Hope you enjoy the rest of the videos as well 😊👍
I love overcast rainy days and I imagine being on the open road during these days would be best.
Overcast is fine, but rainy, in an 80,000 lbs truck, not so much lol.
@@JJtheTrucker gotcha. Well nice truck! Don't know how I got here but I watched your videos and now have some ideas for my dad's truck.
Excellent, glad I could help. I just got a new truck, BTW, so be sure to check that out, too. I'll be doing the same style video once I get fully moved in, with some new ideas.

I got to redo my truck after watching this 💪🏾
I have a 40in TV in my my Cascadia with an Xbox One. There's about 1/4 space between both sides but I did have to make a custom mount for it myself.
What Brother be safe out there, love the truck, see you out there.
I love my 02 T600 but I’m jealous you have a bigger fridge and microwave. Nice setup.
Thanks.
Awesome Setup!!!! This makes me want to go back OTR ...... Stay Safe Driver!!!!! ***hug***
Dude, you look just like my freind. Thought it was him at first. Nice setup.
Love it brother hopefully I can get my rig setup as nice as yours and hope to see you on the road. Drive safe!
I got the same truck I think I’m going to use some of these ideas and also a 32 inch tv fits perfectly in here
Nice!
My dream right there dude. Terrified to get started but this is what I want.
Stop being a pussy life is too short
Things are gonna mess up no matter what you do. Do what you want man
@@abundancekofi i am, im just finishing a college degree atm lol
I'd say get the degree, especially if you're close to getting it. It's always good to be educated, even in trucking. Especially in trucking if you want to grow a business out of it.
@@JJtheTrucker My plan my man. I was never an academic, finally decided to just start making money when I can and stop dicking around.
Great overall setup. Like idea to raise the fridge.
Yeah I love the extra storage underneath, and I don't have to get on my knees to get stuff out of it.
One bloody great entertaining truck!
From Houston, Texas!
Haha, thanks Bobby
My brother in law is a dispatcher for prime! Glad to see these clean drivers working for such a good company
This is sweet ! Just got my class A yesterday
Nice! Congrats Steven 🎉👏👏👏👏👍👍
Cool setup you have me and my oldest boy are hopefully coming to prime soon in April maybe we’ll see you around!
Great job JJ!!! You helped this rookie truck driver with my planning. Thank you blessed man.
Like home and it makes money. I’m thinking truck driving might be in my future.
Exactly!
Very creative way to deal with a small space. Seems very nice 👍
Otherwise I love your truck man I just got my CDL on Friday hopefully starting orientation within a couple weeks
Thanks Quinn.
Good to see the pride in your job and your workspace. It may not be home but you are making the best of it.
Very well done. I like the attention to detail.
Thanks Michael
weights? dude, you have a pink DUMBBLE!! hahaha i love the video. you did awesome job.
Nice work getting everything arranged!
Thanks Michael!
Great set up! First video of yours I've watched! Getting my first truck this April! Salt Lake City Utah is home! Good ideas on setting things up. Thanks again.
That’s truck goals right there
Thanks!
I actually just moved out of that truck and into a new one. Check it out.
