Cool Find! I haven't seen anything like that before! Can't wait to see the clean and service so we can see how the oscillation works and the inside of those motors. Too bad it's so loud!
I haven't either.. I imagine the oscillation is driven by some kind of synchronous motor.. I was really disappointed about it being so loud, when I saw the 'Sleep' setting I thought for sure it would be very quiet..
What a coincidence, I actually had this exact model arrive to me on Monday. Though yours looks like it’s in better condition considering mine was incredibly dirty with a bit of a smoke smell and the oscillation motor is a bit noisy. I actually remember seeing one of these on display at a BJ’s back in the late 90s I believe 1998) when my grandmother bought the HASF-1701 and HASF-1516 Holmes fans. It was one of the coolest fans I saw as a child.
Neat fan, never seen one with the oscillation like that! The motors look like they could be Fasco? I know some Holmes fans used GE so that's possible too.
Thanks, I haven't seen one quite like this either.. My guess on the motors would be Raider, but I'll be sure to note what they are in the next video of this..
It was actually checked out in May, but since I regularly commit the horrid offense of not notating the date that the video was originally recorded, edited, and uploaded, you didn't know..
I used to have the Holmes window fan since May 26, 2000 when me and my mom bought it from Sam's Club after returning back home from my three-day camping trip with my school classmates and staff. It even came with the back filter that I had to install manually to prevent allergens from blowing into my house. Unfortunately, the 2nd motor to the right quit working and the left one still works, including the oscillator, the forward/reverse switch and temperature control. Unfortunately, because of my mom clearing out junk for cleaning, I wasn't able to keep the fan any longer and ended up getting rid of it around July or August of 2010. It's a decent fan but not my favorite in terms of performance. Here are my two videos: ruclips.net/video/Y8f7JGpz1NQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/UZDMlJPXHJM/видео.html

Interesting, I didn't think there would be many, if any, others of these around.. Hope you're able to get the one you got cleaned up well..
Can you make an update video on this fan please thank you
There is nothing to update at this time.
@@JordanU ok

I’m sure this fan is still better than the newer ones of today.

Never seen one of those oscillating models!
This is the first one I've seen as well..
It has mini McMillan motors
I suspect they're probably Raider motors.
I like it
