      Respect for trying something new at 56, I'm on a very similar path, I'm working but pay doesn't cover the bills so I just sold some stock I've been sitting on for years to buy a small trailer rig and start a new venture at 50 years old. Good luck to you Manuel

    I know I’m late but I kinda had the same situation as you did with the building that you missed out on. My job where I work full time needed to be washed but I didn’t think my boss wanted it done and I meant ironed that I started a business and the supervisor heard me and told me to talk to my boss cause he had already been asking for quotes. Luckily they didn’t come out to quote it and he had been waiting and I got the job worth multiple thousands of dollars.

    Love your content. This is completely unrelated, but do you think building up numbers similar to yours in a less populated area would be possible? I figured up the numbers of the area I could service (which would be about a 45 minute radius from my home) and the population of the area is about 160k. Also, do you set limits on how far you're willing to go for jobs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    • @AustinDavis24
      @AustinDavis24  2 года назад +1

      I guess it depends on where you are! There’s a lot of factors that come into play when looking at your service area. Income, where you are in the US, type of properties. Is there anybody in that area that does pressure washing? Also I won’t go farther then 45 min out.

      @@AustinDavis24 I've counted about 12 businesses in the area that advertise pressure washing. The majority have low review counts on Google or no review counts. I know for my parents, the guys who have pressure washed their house the last few years charge $100 a side for a 2,000 ft single story home, and they don't seem professional.

    Depending on how often you eat there, you could also barter for product (dinner gift card $1,000). With this strategy both you and the restaurant /company can get more for the money. For example, the restaurant gives you $1,000 gift card which probably includes a 40% food markup which for them equates to a 40% discount. If you accept that $1,000 gift card, you save 15-20% tax. For future negotiations with other companies, you can show this benefit to help you get chosen for the job.
