hello guys! yesterday i did mines, but i found an easy way. for those who dont have the cold air intake or have everything stock on the bay. you guys can get access thru the front mudguards. i found it easier bc i have to take the mud guards out to replace my foglights and saw the blue knob, ( easy access) that is why i did it. easy cake! to take the mud guards out, you need a #10 socket/wrench and a flat head screw driver. done! couple years later but this might help somebody some day...
Hi, years late, but there is a very quick kinda dirty way to adjust the M45 headlights. The metal gear a seen in this video at 2:49 is connected to a black plastic gear on the end of a cable. The cable is held to the car with a plastic clip under that plastic ear with two holes. BREAK or pull the cable out of the clip, this separates the black the cable with the black plastic gear from the metal gear. You may need to Break or at least force the cable with black plastic gear up and slightly to the center of the car, up an inch and inward an inch. Now, with pliers, I used needle nose vice-grips, lock onto the plastic gear or whats left of it and turn.....this adjust the low beam, the metal gear can still be turned with a philips head and it will adjust you high beam. Do the same thing to the other side. And HOLY COW. Now PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go adjust your headlights and don't blind oncoming traffic or they might run in to you.
most excellent - i was able to complete the job with your guidance BTW - what is the high flow intake that you have on your M35? what improvement did you get? thank you
i have a question, so first you fry off the blue nut assembly from the adjustment part and that will allow you to adjust the low beams but after doing the adjustment, are you reattaching the blue nut assembly to the adjustment part again or leave it facing outwards because from my understanding if we leave it unconnected to the adjustment part then the motor will not be able to take control of the low beams again when the system is engaged ?? Thanx
Mohanand. Thanks for watching. The answer to your question is no, do not replace the blue nut, leave it off to the side as you see in the video. If you do, the computer will reset the position to stock settings.
Hey Ibrihim. I'm located in Orlando, Florida. How may I help you? If you are on Facebook? There are 2 great pages called "Infiniti M35 M45 M37 M56 Fuga Owners" as well as "M Society". Also, "NiCO Forums" are great places for tons of info.
